The yard is large, which we loved for playing badminton! This was our second year at Troll House, and I am sure we will be back again. My children love it (16, 13, and 8)...which is great because sometimes it's hard to find a place everyone enjoys. We really love the beautiful deck (with hot tub!) overlooking the mountains, and the cozy screened porch. |

Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 We spent a week in Troll House in mid June with our daughter and her family as part of a 3 1/2 week visit to West Virginia where the family lives in the panhandle.Troll House is a delightfully quirky home with intriguing and largely local art and craft works throughout. It is also extremely well equipped for all cooking and entertainment needs. The peaceful location was perfect for us with convenient short walks from the house and great hilarity was enjoyed in the hot tub especially by our 2 grandchildren aged 9 and 13 yrs.We visited Blackwater Falls, Dolly Sods, and made several visits to Davis and Thomas which provided good eating places and interesting shopping.Weather was warm and sunny enabling barbecues and chilling on the spacious deck, painting and reading.It was a great week's holiday, the only downer being a visitation of mice towards the end of our stay. |
