Young family of 4 Oregon Coast trip
Cami E. from Columbia Falls, MT recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2016 We absolutely fell in Love with the area! The house was perfect for my family of four (kids ages 4 & 8). We will be back again.
A guest from Eagle, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2016 The house was very comfortable. Beds, baths, kitchen & furnishings we very nice. Relaxing atmosphere. We enjoy renting homes for our vacations whenever possible and this was no exception. Good location. Lovely little town and enjoyed touring the surrounding area.
Janice L. from Forsyth, Montana recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in June, 2016 Twain house is a great family beach rental. The bay bridge view was perfect. What made it perfect was my sister and family rented Amanda's cottage next to us. This was awesome because they booked theirs about 3 weeks before we did ours. Just proves things were meant to be. We had a great time. We love the Bayshore community, everyone is always so friendly. Looking forward to next time. Thanks for a great home away from home.
Cynthia G. from McPherson, KS recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2016 This house was clean and well laid out for us. We really appreciated the king beds and 2 private bathrooms. The kitchen is a bit small, but all the appliances worked. This was our 4th stay in a Bayshore rental and we hope to have more.
Property Manager Response: Response from Bayshore Rentals LLC WE so appreciate your continued support of Bayshore Rentals and our cute Twain home.
Breanne G. from Springfield, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2016 The house was super cute and clean. Had all the needed items for the weekend. Very quiet neighborhood and beautiful views.
Cindra M. from Eugene, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2016 Perfect little get away for my daughter, sister, and myself. Yes, there are pricklies, so you do need to walk your dog to do its business, but the house is in a great location, with a view of the bridge, and had everything we could possibly need. It's nice that the bedrooms are at either end of the house with their own bathrooms! We will be back.
Melisa W. from Pendleton, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2016 Very nice house inside and out. Decorated very well and beds were very comfortable. Our girls loved the trundle bed! We liked how neutral the location was, very easy to travel to neighboring towns and tons of beaches to check out. We would definitely stay again. Our only recommendations would be to WD40 all the sliding doors and sharpen the knives (or provide a knife sharpener) they were all dull.Other than those, the house was great and 5 stars all around.
Property Manager Response: Response from Bayshore Rentals LLC Great, we will sharpen the knives and lube the doors! Hope to see you soon.
A guest from Salem, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2015 the house was very comfortable, even with the rain. the windows were great to see the bay, to watch the tide go in and out.
Property Manager Response: Response from Bayshore Rentals LLC Thanks for the wonderful review!
Megan S. from Redmond, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2015 We spent our Thanksgiving holiday here and we had a very enjoyable stay. The house has a very well stocked kitchen and perfect layout for two couples or a a family and grandparents.
Becky A. from Estacada, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2015 We always enjoy our stay with you guys. This house is really cute and user friendly for handicap individuals. Can't wait to see the landscape when it's finished.
Kathy J. from San Lorenzo, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2015 the house was perfect for us, reasonably priced, clean and bright and cheerful. Nice touch was the shampoo, conditioner and body wash in both bathrooms. We spent a week there, beautiful weather, lots to do up and down the coast nearby. Joyed being able to wash clothes before we came home.
A guest from La Pine, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2015 This house has an amazing view of the bay bridge with just a short walk through the neighborhood to get to the beach. It was great they allowed dogs but need to remove the stickers from the front yard! Location was good, only complaint is that the neighbors houses are so close. Having two bedrooms with their own bathroom was a nice feature and the Bayshore pool was nice.
Property Manager Response: Response from Bayshore Rentals LLC Those darn prickly stickers are everywhere and we are all trying to get rid of them. Otherwise we are glad you enjoyed your stay.
A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2015 It was a great house and location for price (during spring break). We enjoyed the bay beach right across the street and the ocean beach is not far off either (drive if carrying a bunch of stuff, but walkable if not). Being a pet friendly house is a super plus! Clean and comfortable place.
A guest from Gresham, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2014 This is our 2d stay at Twain. For us, perfect location. Quite well kept and super clean. And our pooch loves it. Wish the dining table was larger with addition (and more comfy) chairs. And the king size bed mattress is getting a bit (actually, quite a bit) mushy.
A guest from RATHDRUM, IDAHO recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2014 Great house. So colorful. Love the large table in the living room. King sized bed in master was very comfortable. My only issue was 5 he hot water heater....only enough water to take an army shower before going cold. Bayshore rentals is so great to work with!
A guest from Mount Prospect, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 The Twain House was ideal for our Waldport vacation. The size was just right for four. There is plenty of space and the house is well maintained. The house is in a lovely location on the bay with a beautiful view of the Alsea Bridge. We also enjoyed use of the community pool and game room. We will definitely be back.
Property Manager Response: Response from Bayshore Rentals LLC Thank you for your review. We think the Twain House is a perfect little place too! Community Pool is available from June 15th - September 15th.
A guest from Joseph, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2014 We were very pleased with the Twain House. It was neat & clean. Would love to stay there again. The staff at the rental office were helpful, they answered my emails quickly when I had a question. Also a plus that our dog was allowed to stay with us.
Reviewed by: Emily H. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2014 We were very satisfied with everything at the house. It had everything we needed and was comfortable. Hot water didn't last long enough for multiple showers at once, but that was our only complaint. Would stay again and recommend.
A guest from Anderson, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2014 Had a great time catching up with family from Idaho and Washington. I liked the house (so much easier than camping). It was clean, well stocked with towels and wash cloths. It had a cozy atmosphere. My only complaint were the stickers that seemed to get into everything. Spent a lot of time pulling the out of my dogs' feet, and occasionally my own. But apparently they are a non-native species and they trying hard to get rid of them. I would definitely come back, despite the stickers! Lots of things to do. We tried clamming and crabbing. The boys did a salmon charter and all came home with fish. Visited a great aquarium in Newport and a lighthouse. All that in three nights and two days. Want to stay longer next time and explore the little towns nearby.
Deana U. from Livermore, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2014 We have stayed at this house twice over the last several years. The house had everything we needed; the beds were comfortable and the area was quiet. We ate twice at the Salty Dawg which had delicious food. Just be sure to bring everything you need (other than food) because there isn't any shopping close by. We will definitely stay there again.
A guest from Waldport, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2014 We live nearby and always use this property for "over flow" company. We have had so much fun in this house. Lot's of living room space for gathering. Great wrap around sofa and big table in the middle for playing games. Or stretch out and take a nap. There is a TV and movies, can't remember if there is cable because there is so much to do we never turn on the TV! Beautiful view of bay and bridge, short walk to the ocean or bay. Always clean. Wifi is a plus for the younger visitors. A Great place!!
Property Manager Response: Response from Bayshore Rentals LLC Thanks for being such a valued customer!
A guest from Sherwood, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2013 The location near the bay is a perfect spot for my growing children to play and explore. Fishing, shell collecting, and building of driftwood forts were among the many activities we participated in over a relaxing weekend.
A guest from Waldport, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2013 Great place to stay! The ONLY negative is that even with instructions, the showers are still difficult to understand.
A guest from Mesa, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 30 days in August, 2013 Wish the weather had cooperated! Also, lots of noise from the construction on the bridge. Bay shore Rentals where the best people to work with. If anything needed to be done, it happened immediately. The house had EVERYTHING I could want Or wish for. Thanks, Bayshore Rentals, for making this a positive vacation experience.
A guest from Vancouver, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 Great stay, very nice house in excellent locationShame the oregon summer weather was so cold and the beaches were so windyBut lots to do in local areaVery good value
Shirley P. from Kendrick, Idaho recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2013 I loved the house! Very clean and comfortable. I would stay again with my husband or adults but not the best for little ones. The large glass table is nice but toddlers liked it alot too. There is not really any place for the kids to play outside because of too many stickers in the yard. Other than that, it was great, roomy and everything was clean and in working order. Very quiet area too, loved that and great view of the bridge. Totally recommend to couples or adults or people with older children, but would give concern for the littlest ones. They wanted on that table or under it and made me nervous with the glass. Overall- great house I would go to again.
Property Manager Response: Response from Bayshore Rentals LLC You will be happy to know that the owner of Twain house rid the yard of all the "pokies" while he was in the house over the holiday. He burned them all out and replanted with fast-growing grass. Let's hope those darn, sticky weeds stay away now. Also, the house now has WIFI!!!
Rebecca H. from Centerville, utah recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2013 This was a great place to stay!! This is our second rental with Bayshore Rentals. They are professional, clean, courtious and affordable~!The view is nice (FYI, you cannot see the ocean, but why sit at home anyways?! Go drive to a beach, get out, play in the sand, water and watch the sunset!)You save so much money this way if you are staying awhile. Fully equipped kitchen (although it needs a cookie sheet), large living room, 2 couches, big tv, DVD/VHS player, board games, 2 bathrooms. The house was so cute and bright! It was a joy staying there in such fun decor you would not find at a motel/hotel. The only suggestion I have is make sure you find out how to operate the air conditioner lol.
A guest from Gladstone, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2013 We loved it here! Will be coming back again someday! Only wish was that it had easier beach access. The only point of access we found was by climbing a small sand dune. Which was fine, but a little difficult with two little kids! Comfortable, clean house. The bright colors are just the thing to boost your mood. House stayed warm the whole time without using the heaters.
Daniel M. from Donald, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2013 We typically grab a hotel room for a stay at the Coast. Renting a home from Bayshore Rentals made it easier and was more cost effective for my family. The home was in excellent condition and we loved the view of the bridge.
Shawn M. from Eugene, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2013 We have vacationed at the Twain house for the last 4 years and love it.Location is great. The house is supplied with absolutely everything. The owner keeps everything updated and in great shape. The management is super and keeps everything very clean. We will be back again soon!!
Reviewed by: Charles P. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2013 My wife and I just had a romantic weekend away at Twain House. It was perfect ! When we arrived, the lights were on, it was cozy and warm. So well equipped, even down to a kettle for her tea and a pizza cutter :-) The view over the bay was perfect, even tho it rained a lot of the time. We enjoyed the comfie couch for movie watchng, and the location was ideal. Took a drive down the coast and took in some glorious scenery. The ladies in the rental office couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful.Already planning our next trip - cant wait to go back again. Thank you for opening your gorgeous house to us.
Shawn M. from Eugene, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2012 Bayshore Rentals is first class.Twain house is our yearly destination. The houses with bayshore rentals are supplied with just about every thing you need for a stay.I would recomend them to all.
A guest from Gresham, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2012 Having lived many years in Bayshore, we were familiar with this home (and knew the first owner, who had it built). Odd that we now stayed there as a rental. Very nice accommodation. Only negative would be the dining 'area' quite limited -- small table, 4 chairs. Also, master bed (king) rather soft, but still 'sleepable'. Well equipped, quiet location, reasonably close to beach. Lots of positives for the rental rate.
Les & Patsy P. from Oro Valley, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 29 days in July, 2012 We are enjoying our stay very much. The beds are extremely comfortable and everything is very clean. The kitchen is fully equipped, however for a long term stay there is very little storage both in the kitchen and bedrooms. The only complaint is the front yard. It is not possible to walk out without getting tons of stickers on your shoes and bringing them into the house. Overall this is an excellent property.
Property Manager Response: Response from Bayshore Rentals LLC Those darn stickers are a real problem. The owner tried actually burning the grass, thought he had it "licked" but they just come back. They seem to be everywhere near the motel, where they come from we do not know, and how to get rid of them permanently seems impossible.
Twain House is a Good Value for a Family with Kids Over Three
Laura Y. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2012 We rented this house three years ago with our three older children and had a great time so we decided to rent it again. This time however we have a toddler and keeping her off the large glass table was a battle. Otherwise the house is fun and fairly accessible and has a great view of the bridge over the the bay.
A guest from Waldport, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2012 I had the moat relaxing, fun & just out right Excellent time. We (my husband), walked on beach delightful sunsets & rises. just fantastic vacation. thank you for beatiful time.
Donna S. from Bend, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2012 This rental was awesome. I long scored low on location because all of us would have loved to wake to the oceah. I am very thankful we were able to bring our dogs.
Robert N. from Eugene, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2011 Neither entry is covered outside with any form of shelter. There is no place to take off or leave wet, sandy clothes other than a 3 x 3 foot area immediately inside the front door. A small runner does help, but keeping the white carpet clean can be challenging with children or a dog especially during winter storm season. I would recommend only for guests without very young children or a dog. Other than that a very comfortable rental with lots of books, games, kitchen items, linens, etc.
Property Manager Response: Response from Bayshore Rentals LLC We agree it does need an overhang but it has been well recieved by all guests with kids and dogs. The owner has a young child and a dog and it seems to work well for them.
House great- need better clarification of fees and costs
A guest from eugene, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2011 I didn't like the extra costs after starting the reservation process. The wording of the initial website postings made it sound like a flat rate of $100. Once we started reservations process we found pet fee, cleaning fee, reservation fee. Also website says access to beach club, which sounded like no cost. When checked in was told $5. When went found out $5 per person. Although some are expected most other companies are clear about them on the front end.
Deana U. from Livermore, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2011 Enjoyed our stay - just a couple of blocks to the beach. The bed was comfy and the house was clean. I would stay there again.
A guest from Waldport, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2011 This is the 3rd time I have rented this house for relatives. I live nearby and it is such a nice way to have guests visit and for everyone to have a little privacy. This is a fun house and the spacious living room is great for hanging out and playing games on the large glass tabletop.
Laura C. from Prineville, oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2011 We enjoyed our stay at the Twain house! While we prefer the ocean or bay view we were thankful for the chance to bring our little dog with us. Such a nice house with comfortable furniture and BEDS!!!! We were able to curl up on the ouch with that cozy blanket. Thanks!
A guest from Simi Valley, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2011 During the weekend of the 6th through the 9th of May, 2011 my family rented two houses next door to where my sister lives in a small area by the bay in Waldport to celebrate several family events - my nephew's 36th birthday, Mother's Day and the lives of our parents (our father had just passed away in March of this year and our mother had gone ahead in August of 2008). Being able to rent both of these two homes next Carole's house allowed us the convenience of nearness, room for everyone to sleep, and privacy as needed and we all had an amazing time together filled with a lot of laughter and a few tears. We will be doing it again in the future, I can promise you! Thank you!
Kent G. from Vancouver, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2011 Despite 8 inches of rain and 40 mph winds, our cozy, clean rental met all our needs. It was so convenient to have a full kitchen so we could entertain our friends from Waldport.
A guest from Beaverton, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2010 The house was very warm and cozy. The location was perfect. We went there for a birthday celebration as well as crabbing. Crabbing was successful and we didn't even have to go far to go crabbing...the bay was right across the street. We're definitely going to go back to the Twaine house. This is going to be a new family tradition from now on!
Sadie D. from Eugene, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2010 The owners of this home have created a nice modern atmosphere. Fun & tasteful colors really added to our enjoyment of the space.
Kenda F. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2010 Twain house was a great find for our relaxing stay in Waldport. Only disappointment was the dog "Run" that was advertised-more like a kennel. Didn't look very sanitized and was in the "open"-our dog would have seen everyone and every dog in the county and brought herself to their attention.
Deanna S. from Eugene, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2010 Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed staying in this home. Convenient access to the bay (watch out for ground cover prickly thorns)and beach. Our kids loved the bright decorations and my husband and I appreciated the stocked kitchen, big bay- facing windows and the quiet ambiance.
This home was equipped with almost everything you need. It was very comfortable and much better than a hotel. Prices were real
JANET M. from Nampa, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2010 There should be instructions on how to use the shower, possibly laminated, and with large enough print that you don't need reading glasses. Because we did not know how to use it, the first night was a bath, not a shower. It was difficult for me since I had back surgery that affected my leg. The instructions were in the main bath, but this was not known at the time.
Property Manager Response: Response from Bayshore Rentals LLC If we would have known that you were having problems with the bath tub we could have corrected it immediately. We are on call 24/7, we respond to every phone call. We are very sorry you had problems with the shower and have placed another instruction note in the bathroom.
Daphne L. from Molalla, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2010 This is a perfect house for a family or two couples. We loved the bright colors and the decor. The beds were comfortable and it was so fun to bring our dog.
A guest from Tigard, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2010 We absolutely loved our stay at the Twain House! The interior decor is so bright and cheery. Everything you need is there for you in the house. You get a beautiful view of the bay and Alsea Bay Bridge, as well as being within walking walking distance to the ocean. I would recommend this house to anyone who wants a beautiful and relaxing place to vacation! The owners have done many upgrades to make this house comfortable for all who come and also pet friendly!
