Only problem was the pull-out bed in the living room which was basically just springs with no padding. Management provided a one inch pad on request, but it didn't make much difference, even with the mattress on the floor. So, I would only recommend the condo for a single couple (and perhaps one other who could sleep on the couch itself) I mention this as the condo was advertised to sleep 4, and has two bathrooms.Otherwise, everything was very pleasant and enjoyable. |

The oceanview overlooking the pool from the 5th floor lanai was stunning each morning as we enjoyed our breakfast. Having two bathrooms was quite convenient too! The TV in the living room is inside the cabinet, but we didn't use it much. The 4 beach chairs to choose from and 2 unbrellas provided in the condo made the beach much more inviting. The unit was a bit warm when we arrived, but the AC units in both the living and bedroom made it quite comfortable. The decor resembled a tastfull Pier One/ New England Coast theme, which can be a nice change from the typical Hawaiian themed-out rooms. The grounds at the Maui Sunset are beautiful. My husband and I have stayed at The Westin Resort & Spa, The Westin Villas, and The Sheraton on past visits to the island. We joked that the Maui Sunset is rather comparable to the three..minus a few ammenities..and the $$$$ price tag!! The other guests and residents were very friendly upon meeting on walks and in the elevator. The pool was clean and maintained, and also never crowded the two times we decided to take a dip. The ocean was our swimming pool most of the time. ;) The main office was located in Building B of the complex, and the on site manager (Summer) assisted me in both my check-in and check-out process. Couldn't have been easier! She was very helpful and personable. I also enjoyed working with the staff at Coldwell Banker Rentals Maui! They made the whole process of reserving and renting the condo very easy and care-free. We will absolutely rent from them on future trips to Maui. |

It had a good view, nice decor and everything I needed. My daughter had a birthday there and I need matches for the candle..they were there. We were making Christmas cards and need was there! The kitchen was lacking nothing as far as cooking and eating. And....there was a bathroom scale...most people probably would hide it ..being on vacation and all.. but I was glad to be able to sneak a peek and make sure I wasn't getting too carried away with all the good food and drinks! We hope to revisit the condo again soon. |

What if there had been a fire? We were unhappy with the response from the male manager. He made us feel like idiots. We found him to be rude. Otherwise the stay was very enjoyable. Fully stocked with all the amenities and even beach equipment-towels, umbrella, chairs, surf boards and cooler. Very comfortable and made to feel like home. Would definitely stay again. One drawback--we checked in after hours on a Sunday night and since Monday was a holiday, the check-in office was closed so we had no key for the pool until Tuesday. We had to wait for people to let us in and out of the pool (need a key to get out of the pool area as well!). Otherwise, had a great stay and would recommend. |

It would be SO helpful if the condo had a note in it to remind guests as they are packing to leave that liquids over 3 oz aren't allowed in carry on.... that INCLUDES JAMS AND SYRUPS... I lost ALL the stuff I purchased at security when leaving Maui. Also the "tropical breakfast" that they supply at the orientation the day after you arrive was literally 2 bites of a "store bought" pastry that they cut up.... Not at all what I would call a "tropical breakfast". It really wasn't even enough to be classified as a contential breakfast. It wouldn't have been a big deal if we weren't planning on a real breakfast before we went out sightseeing. We purposly didn't go to the grocery store the night before because we thought breakfast was "covered" so had to find a place in the morning to eat after 10:00 after the presentation. Presentation was VERY helpful at the pool! |
