Stayed for 7 days in November, 2012 The property we stayed at was nice enough for the time we spent in Maui, however it would have been nice to have a more private lanai with a better view than just the tennis courts. The location was good for travelling to other parts of the island but there was virtually nothing walkable within a mile. We also had a bit of a bug problem, finding 4 big cockroach looking bugs in the condo. |

The room was a good size, and there was a pool, spa, BBQ and tennis court on the property.The condo is centrally located (not too close to the traffic thankfully, and near shops, etc), ideal if you're wanting to travel around to the various beaches on the island -- which is a good idea since the beach nearby pales in comparison to the many outstanding beaches around the Maui (which are pretty amazing). I'd really recommend this one for people wanting to use their place as a launching point around the island, which is very easy to get around on.The property managers were really approachable and helpful as well. |

Location is very convinient - close to grocery stores (Longs Drugs, Safeway, Foodland), restaurants and equipment rental places. We are couple, 28 and 30 years old. Not picky. If you like to be served cocktails near swimming pool - maybe you won't like this place, but we just needed clean place to stay, in convinient location, with kitchen (fully equiped, with kitchenware etc.) Beaches right near the place didnt look so great, but we were driving to different beaches every day anyways - to explore - so it wasnt an issue for us. |

Nice, but lacking in a few needed items Carol B. from Garden Valley, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 28 days in January, 2011 We stay at the Kihei Bay Surf every year and seem to get a different unit every year. This one was newly remodeled and very clean and had nice furniture too. It had some good books about Hawaii too. It did not have beach mats (we left one that we bought), beach chairs, plastic dishes for the pool, or to-go plastic containers for the cooler. The dishes were all glass/china. They were nice for eating in, but you can't take glass to the pool or the beach. There was also no rice cooker me...everyone should have one. We managed though because I know how to make rice on the stove top in a pan. We enjoyed the condo despite these things. We bought chairs, borrowed plastic plates(which I left there in the cupboard)from our island friends and I bought plastic disposable wine glasses and cups. The people who live above in the up stairs unit are noisy...but just turn on the air conditioning and it will drown out anything! One other thing...the wifi signal is very weak in this unit...I could get a signal with my laptop sitting on the table by the bed or sitting at the head of the bed but no where else in the unit. The signal would go from 'very low' to 'no signal' so it is hit and miss, but if you take your laptop to the pool, you can get a signal from the picnic tables by the bbq. We love Maui and go there every year and always stay at the Kihei Bay Surf because of it's quiet location and we have several friends who live there. Enjoy your say on Maui! |

Condo was renovated, clean, and had most everything we needed (linens, beach towels, snorkel, kitchenette). Only issues were that the shower water didn't get hot (just warm) and that the Lanai renovation wasn't completed as told it would be. This meant that the sliding door/windows to the lanai was boarded up during our stay. To avoid the unsightliness, we closed the curtains the entire time, which made it feel dark and closed off... no coffee on the lanai as recommended to do. |
