A guest from Grand Forks, ND recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2016 It was a great week in Wailea, condo was in good location, roomy, comfortable. We did have a bid ant problem in the kitchen and around the LR patio door.

On arrival we found a number of problems: missing screen door, no propane in bbq tank, dirty sheets on one of the beds, little ants all over the kitchen and lights that didn't work (to name a few). And the wifi was horrible. This unit is overpriced for what you get. The positive was the staff (Kathy and crew) were all over it trying to fix everything, the property grounds were in great shape and it was close to the beach. We will not rent this unit again, it is tired and is in desperate need of upgrades.

Very large and easily accommodates 5 people but sofabed badly needs replacement. As a sofa it's good but not if it were to be used for sleeping. No response from property management about a replacement mattress.

It has a pleasant and spacious patio and a "garden view".Our disappointment was a result of the condition of the unit and amenities. For example, kitchen cupboard doors didn't close properly because hinges needed to be adjusted; dead bugs on window sills under blinds; windows weren't clean; towels were clean but some were permanently marked. One irritation was that the property has its own propane BBQ but the instructions say that, although they try to keep the tank full, if it is empty, the renter should buy a replacement. (Interesting expectation!). The tank was on empty when we arrived so apparently no-one had checked it before our arrival.When we called the rental company about a couple of issues, the rental agent was pleasant and responded promptly. However, for the area and rates charged, we felt the unit and amenities should have been in better condition.

Tranquil Wailea Makes Palms' Minor Drawbacks Easy to Overlo

Stayed for 10 days in August, 2012 Unit 2303 is above average, though not high-end, at a great price, in a tropically luxurious South Maui neighborhood. Close to the conveniences of Kihei, yet a world away from touristy, especially the busier, kitschier West Maui. Never did see the pool, but who needs it when gorgeous Keawakapu Beach is a short walk down the street, and just a little further are Mokapu and Ulua Beach.The furnishing and decor are fairly average, but plenty of room and plenty of comfortable seating and sleeping room, all generally clean and in good repair. Maybe minor for some, but if you are a "foodie" like me who enjoys cooking, the knives will do you pretty much no good, so considering bringing one of your own if you're in the mood to pay the airlines for a checked bag.The lanai is very lovely, though there is no view except of some strategically planted palms and other condos. But the birds and geckos and lizards and frogs (and even a nearby condo guest who felt no compunction about trying on outfits sans undergarments with her blinds open) made for interesting enough scenery.One problem that put a a damper on the trip... no pun intended, was a mildewy smell to the bathroom and beach linens that would not wash out no matter what I did. I tried various tricks of the laundry trade short of a washing machine cleaning thing-y (I think the washer may have been contributing to the problem). A hydrogen-peroxide-based laundry booster helped, but never did quite get a "fresh" batch. Didn't bother the management with it, but thought it was worth mentioning here. An assortment of beach accoutrement came in handy, chairs, umbrella, etc., even a wetsuit.When we did need assistance with an additional propane tank for the bbq, management was easy to reach by phone and responded quickly and courteously. I'd stay the Palms again, maybe even this unit, for the right price. Maui is lovely, and this area of Maui is one of the loveli

The resort location is great ? close to the beach, tennis courts, a short drive to Wailea, Kihei, stores, restaurants and Farmers Market! The condo location within the resort is great for families with kids! It?s very private! The property is spacious, well equipped and super clean.We would recommend this place to everyone and would go back in a heartbeat.The only problem - time flies by too fast..

The first day the door knob fell off. Also the carpet seemed pretty soiled and one of the bathroom shower curtains was mouldy. It would be good to supply more glasses in the kitchen. There were plenty of towels and beach towels and the beach equipment was excellent. The tiled lani area was good.

THE RENTAL AGENTS WERE GREAT WE HAD A LITTLE PROBLEM, CALLED THEM AND THEY HAD SOMEONE RIGHT OVER. I WOULD GO BACK THERE FOR SURE. IN FACT I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO STAY FOREVER.

Upon arrival there were 2 issues - the refrigerator and freezer were not working (needed to be defrosted and then they were fine). The bigger issue was a problem with the internet that took 3 days to solve - certainly management tried but the week-end made it harder so we spent half the trip without internet access which was important to us.

The location is great- short walk to the beach, short drive to the town of Kihei or Wailea. The unit was clean and cool and very private. Though we didn't have the best view, we still probably had one of the better units. The privacy was nice. Short walk up the hill to the pool, which was warm and enjoyable. I would recommend this place to everyone.
