Waiohuli Beach Hale is a small oceanfront complex located in Kihei Maui Hawaii. This property has a great aloha feeling with a relaxed and quiet atmosphere. Each unit is steps from the ocean and is centrally located to great shopping, restaurants, beaches and is minutes from the championship golf courses of Wailea and Makena. These one and two bedroom units have full kitchens and can sleep between 2-6. There is also a common laundry room. In addition there is a 60 foot solar heated pool, barbecues and shuffleboard located right next to the ocean. This complex is one of the great finds in Kihei Maui for its affordability and charm. Stayed for 9 days in February, 2013 There were some issues with condition of furniture; however, greatest issue was with the swimming pool - while the pool fence itself has keyed gates, and thus is not the fault of the rental company, guests were lax about making sure the gate was latched and locked. Be careful if you have small children. |

It's a small place, but very nicely appointed and is just right for two people, could be a bit cramped with 4 adults, but great with kids. Everything fits just so - and it was VERY well furnished with kitchen cooking supplies, beach items like an umbrella and chairs, and lots of helpful kid supplies too. Very livable and nice, I've gotten a few rentals where you're pretty much on your own with a lot of the basic (and annoying to purchase at times) supplies. But this place is furnished to be lived in! |

Stayed for 6 days in May, 2012 We had a wonderful stay and would recommend the condo to others.I really appreciated the fact that there were boogie boards and chairs in the closet in addition to every type of kitchenware that we would need. There was lots of parking by our condo. The unit feels new with the hard wood floors, a TV, ceiling fan and A/C unit in both the living room and bedroom. There is a grocery store across the street and a Safeway only a 2 min drive away. The condo is on a beach so we watched the sunset every night from there. We preferred to spend the day swimming on the Kam beaches and Wailea beaches which were only a short drive away. During our stay, the weather in Kihei is alot better than the east side of the island. We had sun and few clouds everyday. |

Stayed for 21 days in February, 2011 Great place for a vacation, liked it so much we've already booked for a longer stay next year.Although the property is a little older, and not super deluxe, it has been well maintained, and we certainly have no problem in coming back.Counter space, both in the kitchen as well as the bathromm, is a little tight. Kitchen is very well equipped, both with appliances as well as utensils, cutlery, etc. The central courtyard is beautifully maintained. The entire complex is built on a slightly elevated property, which left it without being flooded during the recent tsunami. |

Stayed for 4 days in February, 2010 We stayed in a ground level suite and we really loved the location, close to amenities and right on the ocean. The common area where the pool was, was kept in immaculate and beautiful condition. The barbeques were not that great as they were cheap ones that you would buy for camping, made of thin metal. The suite itself was nice and well kept although it wasn't that handy in some respects. There was no dishwasher and the kitchen seemed poorly desinged although it was well equipped with dishes and such. The bathroom seemed kind of small and not that handy as the sink counter was quite small and there wasn't much room to put stuff. The air conditioning in the bedroom didn't work either. Other than those few shortcomings though the suite was very nice. The suite was nicely furnished and we enjoyed the nice patio with a view of the beautiful grounds. |

Jan.2010 stay in D# 114 not as nice as in 2006. A guest from Kelowna, BC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 14 days in January, 2010 This unit is showing its wear after 4 years but the rental price is still going up. When I arrived, the once-lovely green and white quilt was really soiled and needed cleaning and should have been attended to following my departure but I was told someone was arriving that same afternoon so it wouldn't have been done. None of the matching tablespoons were in the drawer, just three old rough spoons instead. The plastic glasses in the kitchen should be replaced and some wine glasses would be nice to have. There were three in the cupboard and one was cracked. The bathmat wsa very dirty. Two lightbulbs burned out within the first four days and there were no spares anywhere to be found in the unit. When I had stayed in other units there were always some spares available. An end-table was not in the living room so I had to move one of the lamps (very shaky & appeared to be coming apart) from the bedroom into the living area and placed it on top of a little cooler. I couldn't turn on the ceiling light in the bedroom as the chain was missing and then later I found it in a drawer. Most of the above should have been checked by the cleaning lady. With changes I would recommend # 114 to a friend. |
