St. Augustine Holiday Celina V. from Luskville, QC recommends this property. Stayed for 28 days in March, 2013 Overall the stay was very good. The location is great and the condo is very secure, security guard on at night. Upon our arrival after driving 10 hours that day we could not get into our unit, problem with the key! We waited an hour to get in, once in we were much happier!! Too bad the outdoor main pool is not heated and never will be, wasn't impressed with someone telling me the pool heater would be turned on when the outdoor air his 70 degrees, not true, there is no heater!! Just be honest! Geat away with this because they advertise a heated pool but it is indoor. We would stay with Vacation Rental Pros again but ask a few more questions before we pick our location. Given these issues we still had a great vacation! Nice community, but better units must be out there. A guest from Ventura, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2012 Condo complex was just right for us - on the beach in a beautiful spot; nice amenities but not overkill; I wasn't looking for a weight room on vacation! The pool was wonderful and the grounds were clean, spacious and nice, and the maintenance crews friendly. Queen bed in the Master BR was lumpy and old. Master Bath was gross; a chipped tub which could cut someone and rusted mirrors, and a pervasive smell of mildew. Minor cosmetic fixes would go a long way; though the living room and overall decor was very nice. Blender leaked all over the place; needs replacing. And the worst - stay away from the BBQ and surrounding patio - there was a thick coat of dripped sticky grease all over everything when we arrived - we boiled water and attempted to clean it off so we could at least use it; we left it better condition than how we found it...but it wasn't exactly inviting as a platform for cooking food. For the same money I've had a place twice as nice in the Destin area; I'll look elsewhere next time. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2012 The only complaint I have was the ants.When we arrived the ants were all in the kitchen and on the counter tops.Everytime we cleaned it seemed more would come.The rugs were dirty also. Unit 3103 Needs Major Upgrades Rebecca H. from Austin, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 We have stayed at Colony Reef several years in a row. Unit 3103 was very disappointing; the bathtub in the master is falling apart, and the fan in the master bath was so loud that we complained about it all week. The linens on all the beds were horrible - this was a big issue. The dressers in both bedrooms had drawers that were difficult to use. The popcorn from the ceiling in the crow's nest had fallen into the bunk beds, and my kids would not sleep in the top bunks. (The whole reason we rented that unit was because my kids wanted to sleep in the top bunks.)One other note: we had originally rented 3103 for the week of July 14-21 but were bumped by the owners a couple of months after sending in our deposit. Rather than finding another unit, we moved our trip up a week because our children were so excited about the bunk beds.We love the Colony Reef and will be back to the property. We will not be back in 3103, though. Very nice trip.... Amanda C. from Summerville, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 My family and I really enjoyed St.Augustine and Colony reef. The grouds keeper(not sure of his name) was very friendly, He thought we was on our honeymoon, when we have actually been married for 10 years!! Maybe you should consider putting in a hand rail in the bathroom for older people to use and some non-slip stuff in the tubs, my mother-in-law was worried about falling..also little tiny bugs in the kitchen area, everthing else was wonderful!! Very professional and helpful. Upon arriving the destination we realized the photos did not do the location justice. We had all we needed in the condo and the amenities were many. The staff and crews on the grounds were pleasant. Our son said it was the best vacation we've had. He was able to body board on the waves and play tennis, and swim in the large pool.
