The perfect fishing vacation awaits you at Sea Trout, our house on a canal leading into the Intracoastal Waterway. With a private dock suitable for boats up to 18 feet, this house is in the middle of paradise! And Treasure Beach is just a short hop away!
Located on a quiet residential street in St. Augustine, Sea Trout offers a fenced yard, spacious screened porch overlooking the canal, off-street parking, and spectacular sunsets every night. Water is everywhere here on our narrow strip of land between the Intracoastal and the Atlantic. If you're a boatsman, fisherman, kayaker, or simply a nature lover, you're going to be in heaven at Sea Trout!
Pull right up and get settled in this house. You might want to check out the screened porch first, with its casual seating and great views. Who needs to go into the city to a fancy restaurant when we've got a grill and you're about to catch dinner?! You'll find a table out on our porch too, just in case you want to dine under the stars. It's pretty amazing to watch the sun sink down over the canal and hear the night creatures start up!
There's plenty of space to relax indoors, too. Our living room has a brand-new sectional sofa that seats the whole gang, and we've got cable TV, a VCR, and a DVD player for your entertainment. After a long day on the Intracoastal or the ocean, it's a pleasure to come home to this air-conditioned, spotlessly maintained house and put your feet up!
You'll need something to wet your whistle while you're watching the big game or your favorite show on TV, so check out the kitchen at Sea Trout. We have loaded it up with all the cookware, dishes, flatware, and other utensils you could ask for, along with gadgets galore. From the microwave to the coffeemaker, this kitchen is efficient, getting you out the door and back onto the water in no time! Just make a grocery run on your way in, and you'll be fixed up for the duration.
Just past the kitchen are the washer and dryer, which you are free to use while you're staying at Sea Trout. We've tried to think of everything you might want, from complimentary wireless Internet to all the linens, towel sets, blankets, and pillows you need for all the beds and baths in the house. The idea is that you toss a few changes of clothes in the suitcase, hitch up the boat, and come on out for a totally stress-free, low-key vacation in beautiful northeast Florida!

The second bedroom contains a queen-sized bed, and the third bedroom sleeps 2 as well. The second full bathroom is convenient to both of these rooms. Sea Trout is surprisingly roomy!

Stayed for 3 days in April, 2013 the place was fairly clean I seen a couple of cockroaches and it needs the flooring done really bad. I didn't think that the cameras outside facing towards the porch wasn't cool at all. Never again!! A guest from DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 This rental is such a joke. When you first walk in, it smells very old and the smell never leaves. I had to use candles and air freshner to make it smell better. The carpets were dirty, we had to wear slippers everytime our feet touched the ground. We seen several dead and alive roaches. The master bedroom comforter hadn't been washed in who knows how long. Semen stains on the top and bottom of it. Thank goodness they had a brand new blanket in the closet. We had to wash all linen before using. The king size bed is so soft, my back hurt all week long. The furniture is all old and needs updating badly! They have the cheapest "everything". The cable channels they provide are the bare minimum, so bring an extra dvd player. The canal outside dried up everyday. We spent alot of money on fishing poles ect. and didnt really get to use them. The neighbors are so very nosey. They kept looking out there windows over our way. We planned to bbq one day and pulled the grill onto the covered patio to clean it first. Someone called VRP's and they called me and asked if we were barbequing on the porch. By then we had already cleaned it and moved it onto the driveway to bbq. They said that "someone" was concerned that we might be grilling on the porch. Then 5 minutes later someone else called from VRP's and said that the owner is concerned and would like to drive by to make sure that we moved the grill. What an insult! We are grown responsible adults here. My day was ruined from then on. My whole vacation suffered because of this. Also if you are interested in privacy, forget it. They have cameras on the porches and who knows where else. We will never use this company again or recommend them to anyone. Very bad experience. They didn't even offer a real apology. BEWARE!!! Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 place was clean, a mile or so to beach, smelled musty the entire week, internet was intermittent, found a dead cockroach in hallway, photographs are misleading, we would not rent again. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2011 The location is great but that is the only good thing about this place.When we first walked in my husband tripped in a hole that is in the floor near an a/c vent. When you take a shower you will notice that after you get out the entire place smells like septic!It does not have well water if thats what your thinking. There was only a quarter roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and only one trash bag to last 4 days. There was one key to the back door and when the other couple staying with us accidently locked us out we had to drive to the rental office where I was yelled at by the elderly lady behind the counter for five minutes before she gave me a spare top it all off the bedding was very musky smelling, not fresh at all! We were all very disappointed. This place really needs some repairs and was not worth the money we paid.I was given an email address just in case there were any problem so I emailed the property manager the second day we were there and still havent heard from anybody about the problems we had when we stayed there!
