Our big, modern red house offers enormous windows, high ceilings, beautiful furnishings, and all the extra touches that make your vacation more enjoyable and comfortable. Set off the road behind the dunes, it's a quiet and safe place for the kids to play, with the beach just steps away via a wooden dune walkover. And you'll never get tired of the views, from the sunrise over the Atlantic to the sunsets along the Intracoastal Waterway!
The wraparound deck is the first thing you'll fall in love with at Crescent Cove. Spanning two sides of the house, it is the perfect place to sunbathe, stargaze, and simply decompress, watching the waves and inhaling that bracing sea breeze! With plenty of room for the whole group and guests to spare, it's the heart of Crescent Cove.
Just indoors from the deck is the living room, with a high ceiling, huge stone fireplace, big sectional sofa that seats everybody, and long windows looking out toward the sea. During the day it's the perfect indoor/outdoor room, with so much light and such beautiful views that it's almost like a second deck. At night, it's cozy and welcoming, with spotlighting and a cozy atmosphere.
Adjacent to the living area is a long, elegant dining table, with space for everyone. What a pleasure to dine within sight of the ocean, with the whole group gathered around! This wide open area of the house is a great place for games, too, from an all-night poker marathon to a friendly round of Pictionary!
The kitchen and breakfast nook are just beyond the dining area, and you will love these spaces. Our kitchen is completely stocked with all the dishes, cookware, and utensils your big group needs to cook and serve just about anything, up to and including Thanksgiving dinner! All you add is groceries; we've got all the major and minor appliances and time-savers that will get you out of the kitchen and back on the beach in no time flat. And you'll enjoy working in our kitchen, with a central island and big windows over the counter.
The breakfast nook is right next to yet another door out to the deck. A small table makes the ideal workstation for your laptop (you have free wireless Internet at Crescent Cove), and is the perfect place to enjoy that early-morning cup of coffee before the rest of the gang wakes up. It's also makes a great "children's table" for formal occasions!
There is also plenty to keep the group occupied at Crescent Cove after a busy day at the beach or the Intracoastal Waterway. We have several TVs, all with cable, as well as a VCR, DVD player, and stereo system. No more fights about what to watch -- there are enough screens to go around here!
And speaking of enough to go around, you will love the spacious sleeping quarters at Crescent Cove. We have 5 bedrooms and 4 full baths, so there's room for everyone. Two of the bedrooms offer king-sized beds in large, beautiful rooms with easy chairs and great views. Two more offer queen-sized beds. And there's even a trundle bed!
At Crescent Cove, we provide all the linens, pillows, blankets, and towel sets you need for every bed and bath in the house. Our washer and dryer are at your disposal to keep everything clean and fresh, so pack light and get ready to be pampered.
The house is comfortable, roomy, and fully appointed with everything you need, but we think the best part about Crescent Cove is its location. Crescent Beach is one of the best beaches in Florida -- just ask the locals! -- with wide white sands, great shelling, and rolling waves. Serene natural get-away Laurie D. from Thornton, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2012 We had a lovely time in this spacious, uniquely designed ocean-sideretreat. The sea side was a wall of windows, offering soothing viewsof the sea oats, dunes, and rolling waves. The large dining table andcircular sofa in a great room overlooking the ocean made it easy forour disparate group to meet, eat, and converse. We left the windowsopen to enjoy the invigorating rhythm of the sea. We could lounge onthe spacious back deck, or wander down the long boardwalk past theprotective buffer of vegetated dunes to lie upon the silken sand andplay in the frisky surf. The kitchen is large and well-designed, sothree cooks at once could move about without interfering with oneanother. The large bedrooms housed each of us comfortably, and the twowesternmost on the upper floor provided a shimmering view of theIntracoastal Waterway (the master bedroom also had a balcony). Ospreysand pelicans drifted overhead, and sand pipers played at our feet. Weall left rejuvenated and a bit more ready to face the rigors of thenorth. We'll certainly be back next year. Review of Crescent Cove Mary W. from Palm Harbor, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 Overall the property was not well maintained. The yard needed work, the exterior and interior needed work did not make a good first impression. The view however, is spectacular. Another issue was when it was time to shower and get ready for bed we could not find any towels and at ten at night found them in the dryer were they were damp. The dryer was old an not effecient. The only reason I would not recommend this property is for the amount that we paid the house should have been alot nicer and cleaner. Crescent Beach Vacation Joe B. from Richmond Hill, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 The house was in a great location, just steps away from the beach. We had a great time with our kids, but I was alittle disappointed by the house itself. It looks much better in the pictures than in real life. When we arrived at 3:30, there were still towels and sheets waiting to be dried on top of the dryer and a load drying in the dryer. The windows overlooking the beach were dirty with the little face and hand prints of former guests, the master bedroom carpet needs to be professionally cleaned, dog poop stains were apparent, wallpaper was threadbear in places, master fan didn't work,laundry room light didn't work, and it was hard to see what you were doing down there. The downstairs bedroom was uninviting, there were no dishtowels for the kitchen and there were definitely not enough bath and beach towels for 10 people. The kitchen can opener didn't work and under the house were old, broken beach chairs that you could see when you went to the beach. For the amount of money the owners are charging for rent, I think they could do a better job of keeping the place in good working order and cleaner. St Augustine has lots to do and great places to eat. Even if you're in town for Disney or Daytona, this place is not that far. It's also only 10 minutes from Marineland (where you can swim with the dolphins). I would definitely stay here again and will be highly recommending it along with Vacation Rental Pros.If you stay here theres 2 places you gotta eat at. The Gypsy Cab Company has phenomenal eggs benedict, but it's only served on weekends. Also Haszards Pit Beef is right down the street and has fantastic crab cakes. Great beach access and the rooms were nice, good gathering spaces in the living room and dining room. The deck is wonderful. Great views from both sides of the house. The appliances need upgrading, refrigerator leaked, washing machine leaked and one of the burners on the stove didn't work. Other than that, the house is well equipped and we had a great time! Big House For Big Family Valarie I. from Lithia, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2011 I would recommend this property, only if the issues we had, have been addressed and rectified. The house is very large and comfortble and you can't beat the location. The views are amazing, no matter which side of the house you on. My recommendations, to increase the experience in the home, would be to add additional and better seating on the deck. For a home that accommodates up to 10 people, there were only 4 chaise lounge chairs. A table with chairs, would be nice, to offer dining outside, on the deck. It would have also been nice, if they provided a grill, so we could BBQ our "Catch of the Day". We brought our boat and the driveway offered plenty of room, for the truck/boat trailor and a few additional vehicles. There is a boat launch a 1/2 mile up the road. Needless to say, we fished every day. Additionlly, the interior needs a little updating. The window treatments are literally falling apart, due to sun rot and the carpet is old, stained and worn. It would have been nice to receive some directions, on how to operate the TV in the family room, as it took forever to figure out the combination of buttons to push. We enjoyed watching movies late at night and using the CD Player, to listen to our Christmas music. I notified VR Pros the lack of dishes and cookware, in the unit and they were very prompt and helpful in bringing more to the house, for our stay. I would prefer not to have to ask, for something so basic, upon my arrival. We enjoyed visiting St. Augustine on Christmas Eve and touring the city, for the Christmas lights display. It was beautiful. Overall, this location was a great choice for our family of 9, plus 1 dog, for our holiday vacation.
