Songbrooke Cabin is nestled between mountain ridges on the bank of beautiful Dicks Creek, in that quiet community near Dillsboro, NC in the heart of all mountain recreation and sights. The two-story log home is romantic and idyllic, surrounded by a rustic rail fence and Knockout roses. The home features three bedrooms/two baths, great room with authentic stone fireplace, carved mantel, and cathedral ceiling. Furnished tastefully with art and antiques, dining room and complete kitchen, with new appliances there and in laundry. Satellite, DSL, local phone on site.
Creekside grill, firepit, benches, and potting table/buffet beckon you outdoor fun and food. Herbs are planted in pots and beds if you want to spice up your cooking. Beautiful roses, numerous hydrangeas, phlox, Shasta daisies are bursting into bloom…can you hear the buzzing of the bees?
Wonderful restaurants and shopping are conveniently located in nearby Dillsboro, Sylva, Balsam and Cherokee. Antique lovers…don’t miss School House Antiques…it’s wonderful. Paula Deen’s new restaurant just opened in Cherokee as well. River rafting, waterfalls, trails and breath-taking mountain scenery offer adventure, or you can sit on the rocking chair porch and listen to the waterfall of the two ponds, or the rushing creek. There’s “picking on the square” every Friday night in Dillsboro, and so much more to do!
Centrally located…45 min. from Gatlinburg, Maggie Valley, Asheville, Highlands, Cashiers; 30 min. from Franklin, Wayneville, Bryson City, ten minutes from Cherokee casinos, or Sylva hospital.
