Great location & view - loud upstairs neighbors
Darren B. from Tampa, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2016 I would stay here again only if there were no upstairs occupants. I am a very sound sleeper and was continuously awoken from footsteps/noise from the unit above. My wife and daughter actually purchased earplugs in an attempt to get a good night's sleep.
Justin J. from Tomball, Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2016 The location was perfect! Beautiful views off back patio and from inside widows of the mountains trees and wild life. Staff was curious and very attentive to our needs. Great reccomendations on places to ski and eat. We would definitely stay there again.
Property Manager Response: Response from Wildernest Vacation Rentals Justin, thank you so much for the review. We value your input and are very glad to hear you enjoyed your accommodations. We look forward to serving you again!
Alice C. from CAnton, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2016 As always we love coming to Colorado for skiing. We book with Wilderness because we enjoy staying on Wilderness mountain. We plan on returning next year. We found lots of great places to dine and enjoyed skiing Copper Mountain.
Property Manager Response: Response from Wildernest Vacation Rentals Alice, thanks for the review! We always love hearing our guests had a great time.
A guest from ERIE, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2016 The Unit is absolutely beautiful! We chose a weekend just after the Holidays which turned out to be perfect. It is very close to a trail perfect for snowshoeing. We walked to the trail, then snowshoed our way into the woods which was well marked. It is close to ice skating, skiing, and fun microbreweries.
Property Manager Response: Response from Wildernest Vacation Rentals Michelle, Thank you for taking time to review your stay. We are glad to hear your unit was accommodating and that you enjoyed it!
Cozy condo with an awesome view of the surrounding wooods.
A guest from Surf City, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2015 Condo is spacious and well furnished. End unit is especially nice with lots of windows and natural light. Great deck with sunshine and beautiful mountain and wilderness views.
Rocky G. from Denver, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2015 My wife and I have been staying here every years for the last 3. We love it here!! The only complaint I have is that the kitchen knives are so dull that they are almost unusable. Please sharpen or provide something to sharpen. Other than that nit-picky thing we enjoy it very much.
Bob K. from Woodlands, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2015 Watch Hill 215 was a great place for us. The views were amazing and the accommodations were great. Everything we needed was available, it was very clean and the quality of furnishings were superb.
Jodie R. from Delray Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2015 This unit is beautiful. A corner unit with many windows to enjoy the view which is breathtaking. Since the unit backs up to national forest so there were no close neighbors or building to impede the view of nature. We were very happy with the stay
Katie N. from The Colony, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2015 We got married at the beginning of May and stayed in this condo for two nights. It has a great view and we were very pleased with the space.
A guest from CAnton, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2015 The property was clean, and in a good location ( love being on top of the mountain. The deco was updated and looked beautiful.
James B. from Moline, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2015 Having stayed at many Wilderness Properties over the years unit is at the top of our list...great space, great features, great location with great views...makes this unit, well, absolutely GREAT!
A guest from Colorado Springs, Colorado recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2015 This room was fantastic. The views were wonderful and the location was great. The only downside was that there were no curtains or blinds in the living/sleeper sofa area, so my young daughters woke up with the crack of dawn each morning. It would be perfect if they just put up some curtains to block the morning light.
A guest from blackriver falls, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 16 days in January, 2015 Really enjoyed the condo. The location was excellent and the view beautiful. Only minor problem was the sofa and chair seemed to be breaking down and were sort of uncomfortable for old people like us to sit in.
A guest from Lexington, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2014 We have stayed in this unit twice-it is perfect for 2 people-I know there is a sleeper couch, but we didn't need it. Laundry room is conveniently located next door and as a corner unit, this place has lots of glass and nice views. Just be warned that property is a pretty far up Wildernest Rd., so it can take some extra time to get up here from Silverthrone I-70, especially during winter weather-but you get used to it.
Rocky G. from Denver, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2014 My wife and I love staying here. We stayed last year and couldn?t wait to come back. The view is absolutely spectaclular!! We love booking in October as there is hardly anyone else around and the solitude is magnificent. The only bad thing about our stay was a restaurant called Fiesta Jalisco. The food was cold and absolutely horrendous. I was up sick all night.
A guest from Tomball, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2014 Traveled over 800 miles during the 6 days and experienced the most spectacular fall colors I've ever seen in Colorado (Rocky Mtn Glenwood Canyon Leadville) but if we had elected to just sit & stay in WH216 we still would have seen the fall beauty just from the unit's windows! And yes I saw the fox who just stayed put & let me take photo after photo of him as I stood on top of complex's driveway steps but maintained & respected him his space to be the wild creature that he is.
A guest from Littleton, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2014 Great condo with gorgeous views. Quiet getaway. Saw wildlife from the deck. Backs to forest so feel like you are in the mountains away from it all. Very nicely decorated & comfortable.
Paul M. from Aurora, Ontario recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2014 My brother and I were travelling to Colorado for the first time to snowboard. We were not sure what to expect of the mountains or the travel time to the different resorts in the area. We were very happy with the chalet, and proximity to the different resorts. The room was very clean, and the parking lot was always plowed. We will recommend this property to our friends who will most likely be joining us next year.
Geoffrey B. from Davenport, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2014 Could not unlock front door but rep was out in 20mins with spare keys. Glad I had mobile phone to call her. Had to buy mugs as only small cups. Poor internet when reported to the management company they gave me the telephone number of the internet company for me to report. Unit was nicely furnished with comfortable bed and seatees. Not sure I would want to sleep on bed Seatee as fridge noises.
Wilderness vacation rentals makes our annual Colorado ski trip
A guest from Macomb, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2014 We enjoy the service and accomodations with Wilderness that we try to make sure we get the same unit each year. Location, staff service and rental units are great.
A guest from Geneseo, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2013 we arrived late and the check in was easy. the property was great and fit our vacation. We ate in the condo and it had all the utensils we needed.
A guest from Carlisle, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2013 We were here pre-Thanksgiving and there were very few other guests in the complex. But unit suited us perfectly (just 2 of us). Ample space-nice views, functional kitchen and coin-operated laundry just outside door. The drive up Wildernest from Silverthorne takes getting used to (road is in fine shape-just uphill with several hairpins so it takes some time), but otherwise, this was a great place.
Amanda L. from Colorado Springs, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2013 The room we had was excellent, clean, breath-taking views, and very homey. The only complaints that we had were that the DVD player didn't work and that there were no utensils for the grill, we had to try to make it work with some forks. We would recommend it to anyone who wants a nice play to stay if they are going to participate in winter activities or if you just need some time away!
Terri M. from League City, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2013 It was a great place to spend for our vacation. You had all the ameneties that we needed. thx Terri Mihlbauer
Kathleen Z. from Colorado Springs, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2013 Panoramic views of open space. We felt like we were in our own private forest. Spectacular! Beautifully decorated, comfy bed, comfy couches, kitched well appointed. Loved having the gas grill on the deck. Wish we could have stayed longer. The only suggestion I have, would be to upgrade the stove to a smooth top. Perfect getaway! We would definitely come back.
Joseph N. from Grand Junction, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2013 Everything was great with the exception that I had to buy towells because there weren't any and when I went to cook there were no pots,.
Property Manager Response: Response from Wildernest Vacation Rentals Joseph, thank you so much for taking the time to give us your feedback on Watch Hill 216. We would like to also thank you for bringing these issues to our attention and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We did look into these items and have since replaced and corrected the necessary issues. We look forward to having you back in the future, Wildernest Vacation Rentals.
Rocky G. from Denver, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2013 Unit was clean and everything we needed was provided. View was phenomenal. Very cozy and perfect for a couple. Thankfully there was no one in the unit above us, as someone came in and walked around for a couple of minutes and then left and it was very loud. Would not make for a nice stay if unit above is occupied. Slight moldy odor in unit.
Property Manager Response: Response from Wildernest Vacation Rentals Rocky, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on Watch Hill 216. We agree the view is phenomenal!
We did have housekeeping do a thorough inspection and they were unable to find any odor. We believe the odor was from some recent work and staining on the decks in the complex.
Judy B. from Arvada, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2013 We are returning customers for Wildernest Management Company and have rented condos for years from them. We had never stayed at this condo in the past and were pleasantly surprised with the location and condition of the condo. The views are incredible and the condo was completely updated. The condo is beautiful. The only issue we had was that there were two ladders and a box of tools left on the deck by the management company when we arrived. We would return to this condo for future reservations.
Alicia R. from Broomfield, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2013 We would HIGHLY recommend this property! It's beautiful, peaceful, and very relaxing! Can't wait to visit again!
Jerry B. from Witicha, KS recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013 Watch Hill 216 was not a good fit for us. The wireless did not connect at all, which was huge. Also, there was a towel and trash in the garbage disposal, which I had to dig out. I complained to the staff, and Jen took care of me very well. We changed to a different unit, which solved all our problems. The other unit was larger and had great wireless. I appreciated the way Jen took care of us. Even though our second unit in Gore Trail was rated a "gold" unit, it really wasn't that much better than Watch Hill, only larger. So although I cannot recommend Watch Hill, I could recommend Gore Trail, and Jen.
Gail B. from Broomfield, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2013 We loved this condo because there were windows on two sides with open space on each side. We saw 3 moose while we were there
A guest from Omaha, NE recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2013 My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. There was a beautiful view of the mountains. Located near many hiking trails. It was very quiet and peaceful. The unit appeared to be recently renovated. We would definitely stay here again!
A guest from Aurora, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2013 Nice condo and beautiful location. Bed is firm. Unit needed hot pads. Towel from previous tenant left on back of bedroom door and it looked like the unit needed a better vacuum job and dusting. Loved seeing the wildlife off the deck! Very "welcoming" unit.
A guest from Camarillo, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2013 We bought 2 nights with the living special deal. You never know what your going to get. We really didn't expect much. When we got there, the towm was so cute and our "little apartment" was even better! So cozy and cute. Thing were newer and spotless and we had a great view. This was an amazing trip and worth every penny!
Alice C. from CAnton, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2013 The Wilderness office people are very easy to work with. I always enjoy renting with them, and appreciate their assistance and the specials. The specials made my trip possible this past week. I plan on renting with them again.
Nicole L. from Erie, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2013 My family loved our visit. We will reserve this property again. Clean, comfortable, great location and fabulous views.
A guest from Burnsville, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2013 WatchHill was the perfect little spot for us to spend our first few nights as husband and wife. It was perfect in size and location!
Joseph C. from Kokomo, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2013 Great Place to stay! Beautiful place, and the you can't ask for a better view. Only problem was internet was very very slow, other than that Great place!
A guest from Silverthorne, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2012 Nice condo and we were happy with our stay. The kitchen needs two new frying pans! The washer right outside the condo didn't work :-(
Patricia M. from St. louis, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2012 My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Watch Hill, especially the view of Buffalo Mountain, which we have hiked several times. The unit was nicely furnished and very comfortable.
Jessica H. from Odenton, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2012 My boyfriend and I stayed here after purchasing a living social deal. The unit was great. It has been updated and I thought the bed was comfortable. I loved that it was an end unit and had great unobstructed views We also used the hot tub, which was clean and hot! I would definitely recommend this property to a couple for a nice getaway!
Elisa R. from Lincoln, NE recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 We loved this place! Perfect for two people. Beautiful view! Everything was clean- hot tub, condo, parking area. We used the grill and ate on the patio- very nice view. The kitchen was nicely stocked. I like the renovations- wood-like floors, new shower, comfy bed. There is nothing I would change about Watchhill 216 and I plan on going back every year!
Kate B. from Aurora, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2012 My husband and I just wanted a quiet place to unwind for a few days and this this unit was perfect for us. It is small but fine for 2 people. We were told that the furniture had just been replaced and it was not only very nice looking, but very comfortable, and the king size bed was also very comfortable. The unit was well stocked. The best part was that it backs to wilderness behind it and there is a little water hole that can be seen from the unit and the deck and one morning we saw a momma moose and her baby drinking there. There were also hummingbirds and we saw a red headed woodpecker busily looking for insects on a tree right beside the deck. I would definitely stay in this unit again. The only drawback was that there were alot of stairs to drag our suitcases down and up, so if stairs are an issue for you this is not the place you would want.
A guest from Knox city, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 Condo was around 9700 ft. up so even in the middle of July it was cool. Opened the door at night and flipped the switch to turn on the gas fireplace. Corner unit with huge windows. Beautiful views off mountains and forest. Loved the balcony. Hope to return next summer!
Louann R. from Fort Collins, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 Our condo at Wildernest was ideally located at the end of the building, with aspen trees on one side and an incredible view of mountain peaks and national forest on the other. The condo itself was comfortable, well equipped, and well maintained.
Deborah S. from Blue Ridge, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 Katie in reservations was very helpful and professional. The only real issues we had were that the overhead light in the master bedroom did not work. We were told they would contact the owners and we never heard anything else. I understand that Summit County is usually very comfortable w/out a/c but given people come from all sorts of climate areas it would be nice if each unit would have a portable fan. We bought a fan then gave it to our niece for her home. All in all, the unit was very nice and the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked. The property entrance was very dark and difficult to see at night. A light illuminating the sign would be helpful.
Scott D. from Aurora, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2012 Really liked this little place. Very good location, and the Living Social offer sealed the deal. The owner just needs to fix the fan in the bedroom (makes a little noise)and the bed could use a different mattress topper. Quiet balcony great for relaxing and enjoying the view.
Amy Q. from Lakewood, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2012 Escaped the city for a weekend and loved staying here! Amazing views, great kitchen, perfect location for day trips into the mountains. The hot tub was dirty when we first found it, we let management know and they had it cleaned and refilled within a few hours. The only thing that kept us from giving it all five stars was the mattresses on the bed and sleeper sofa were both a bit uncomfortable, but still definitely doable. Great spot, beautiful property! We'll definitely be back!
A guest from Eden Prairie, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2012 We did not realize its elevation. We both got altitude sickness. It was too high up. I would have rented something at a lower elevation in Silverthorne had I known.
A guest from Midlothian, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2012 Throughly enjoyed our stay, Very clean with everything that we needed, Pleasent/Easy Check In and Out, great views of mountains with two walls of windows! We'll be back!
Dawn O. from Papillion, NE recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2012 Great place to stay! Great views from the many windows. The price was okay with the free night-otherwise-it is too high for the property. Nice property overall-huge family room/kitchen area.
Kim F. from Wareham, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2012 Excellent condo, clean and updated with great tv, DVD and Internet access. The only problem was sign on hot tub says 9 am and not open until 10. Would be nice to have extended hours on hot tub to enjoy early am or at least until 11 pm. Also daughter noted temperature of hot tub was too hot!! They looked like lobsters! Overall great stay and wish our stay was longer.
A guest from Denver, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2011 Great weekend getaway with wonderful views. Only negative was couldn't get the fireplace to work
Property Manager Response: Response from Wildernest Vacation Rentals Please call Wildernest at anytime 24/7 if you have a maintenance issue and someone will come correct it, asap. We hope to see you again in the future. Regards, Management
A guest from Dubuque, IA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2011 Great condo with a view for the price, everything was good except we could not get gas fire place working. We notified Wildernes about the problem at checkout.
A guest from JOHNSON LAKE, NE recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2011 Great viewing of the turning of the aspen leaves. Even had the opportunity to see a moose below our condo. Excellent location for hiking.
A guest from Colleyville, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2011 The heat did not work when we got there, but maintenance came to fix it soon after we called. Also, I chose a unit on the first floor to avoid stairs, but because the unit was on the side of the mountain, we had to walk down a flight of stairs. However, the view from the unit was very nice.
A guest from Wellington, KS recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in September, 2011 Had two maintenance guys climb a ladder to paint the trim on the balcony one morning while we were in the room. No warning from the front desk. Other than this was a great experience
Jeff A. from Lee Sumitt, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2011 The condo was in pretty good repair but we did find hairs on bedspread and pillows so you knowno one really likes that. My MAIN ISSUE was the reason I picked this property was I was told it had a hot tub. I was going to pick a property that had a clubhouse and pool but I fiquired that a hot tub would do. I was able to use it the first night but only 1/2 of the jets worked. The next evening I went to use it and it WAS CLOSED for repairs so I fiqured I could use the other buildings hot tub, after all they are the same complex right? Wrong, I didnt have a key into the other buildings hot tub room. This is wrong as I should have had access to EITHER of the hot tubs on propety just in cases of this where 1 isnt working you can use the other one. I was pretty unhappy about this but since it was after 2 pm saturday I couldnt complain. I was going to call on sunday but we went out and didnt get back until 5 or so so I couldnt complain then either. Not happy about this so I wont be staying in the watch hill complex again.
Property Manager Response: Response from Wildernest Property Management We apologize for the inconvenience with the hot tub. There is only one building for the hot tub in the Watch Hill complex, that is why your key did not work in the other, because it was for another complex. With the cleanliness of the pillows, we do take these matters very seriously and I will let you know, that housekeeping was already informed and we will take action on this issue ASAP. All of this issues will be fixed and we hope that you will stay with us again.
