Mixed, but overall a good stay A guest from Arvada, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2013 We stayed for a Sat. and Sun. night in April just after the close of ski season. It felt like the unit hadn't been prepped for our stay, or maybe just hadn't been used recently. There was dust on tables, and the dining room table had syrup and other food boogers on it. Other than the dishes and glasses, the kitchen was kind of a hodgepodge of items thrown into various cabinets. One cabinet contained a cardboard box of random items--probably should have been in a closet or elsewhere, but not a kitchen cabinet. Some basic items that are often included in a condo unit were absent: sugar (other than a couple packets with some Folgers coffee), plastic wrap or aluminum foil, plastic tubs for leftovers. Kind of picky, but factored in with the un-cleanliness of the surfaces, made it feel like we surprised someone by staying in this unit. Oh, and only 1 of the 2 keys worked for the doors, so I had to make sure I had the correct one each time we walked out the door.Otherwise, it was more than adequately provisioned with loads of towels, soap, TP, a fan, humidifier, vacuum, broom, comfy sheets and bed, etc. Loved the building, lobby area with fireplace and big TV, and hot tubs outside. With some different furnishings in the unit (dining room table, wall decorations, larger TV), this place would be a 3+ star unit in my mind, but we were left with a feeling of it as a 2.5 star. Maybe that is what a "Gold" unit is supposed to be. I did think the website photos were an accurate representation of the unit's overall appearance, so the unit was what I expected.We used a Groupon to stay there for a total of about $180 for 2 nights. At that rate, I would stay there again and recommend it, but would not do so at the full rate. |
