The owners need to spray for bugs, get new towels, bedding and replace some kitchen items. |

In my opinion this unit is badly in need of a total renovation.Over the years my wife and I have stayed in a number of units run by RPM mostly in Bahia Langosta condos and a couple of times in Casa Blanca. VL #10 was definately the worst, never again. |

Unit#10 Villas Langosta Tom & Jan H. from Lethbridge, Alberta recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in January, 2010 We like the location of the unit, and generally it is quite comfortable for one couple. However, the couch(hide-a-bed in the living room needs to be replaced,or at least recovered. All of the appliances worked well. Most of the towels and bath mats are showing their age, and should be replaced. The new chairs and loungers around the pool are very nice, and Miguel does an excellent job of maintaining the grounds and the pool. All in all we enjoyed our vacation very much. Thankyou!!! |

Stayed for 4 days in July, 2009 The managers at the front desk are very helpful, and are very friendly. The location is good -- quiet and outside of the town of Tamarindo. Langosta Beach is very beautiful.Apartment itself is NOT well-maintained at all.Doors and Windows:- Door locks seem VERY insecure- Many windows and door screens look in bad condition, falling off- No seal across the floor, so MANY MANY ants, bugs, spiders, and mosquitoes make their way into the apartment constantly- Window slats do not provide much privacyKitchen:- Cobwebs INSIDE many of the cupboards, stretched across the pots and pans!- Spiderwebs and spiders over the kitchen windows- Clean fridge, sink and floor- Good selection of utensilsLiving Room:- Furniture seems dated, uncomfortable- Large open living space though- Bar stools at kitchen counter are niceBedroom:- Linens are VERY worn, itchy/scratchy- Pillows and mattress are old and uncomfortable- Dusty on all surfaces- No heavier curtain so impossible to sleep in with light streaming in the morning (this could be a positive for some people)- Good selection and location of wall outlets- Safe is provided. Definitely a bonus.- Closet is big and nice.- Extra linens and towels are also VERY worn and itchy.- Air conditioning works wellBathroom:- COVERED floor to ceiling in ants at times- Shower is dirty, covered in build-up- Good water pressure- No extra toilet paper provided- Towels are VERY worn and scratchy- Toilet worked fine, was cleanOverall...If you like no frills, this is an OK place. However for the price ($110 USD a night), it's VERY poorly maintained.Managers are good and everything is in working order. However, everything is OLD. Seems poorly maintained. The property was in need of some maintenance. The linens(towels, sheets, bedspread) were in need of replacement. They were stain A guest from Salt Lake City, utah does not recommend this property. Stayed for 8 days in February, 2009 Paint and new linens are a relatively inexpensive upgrade that would make a huge impact on the way the property shows. Overall we enjoyed out stay, but we will probably look elsewhere our next visit to Costa Rica. |

Great Location Colleen W. from Waterloo, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in December, 2008 The location of this condo is very nice.. peaceful and quiet and a nice spot on the beach. The grounds are very well kept and it seems to be a very safe place. I was however dissappointed with the things within the condo. It is very dated and worn- worn sheets and bedding, musty smelling towels and barely anything in the kitchen. There were a few odds and ends of cutlery and glasses which were all dirty and had to be washed. It would be nice to get these things updated... the small appliances (ie toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker) were old, rusted and dirty. There is no oven in the unit which I was also not aware of before. We had purchased groceries and bought frozen pizza and a few other things only to find out that we had no where to bake them. I would stay here again but I believe that the price is a little high for the condition of the inside. If these things were updated the condo has a really nice potential. Thanks to Tara for help in getting a salad bowl (there are NO serving bowls/plates in the kitchen) and also providing a new dish rack as the old one was very old and gungy. I have rented quite a number of times in the area and the rentals always provided everything you needed kitchen/bathroom- a home away from home. This unit did not... My stay was very nice and peaceful and the weather was excellent... can't wait to head back. |
