Loraine N. from Charlotte, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2016 The Villa was beautiful. Felt like a home away from home. Felt like we had our own private pool right below Villa. Can hear the ocean from the balacany and room. Walk right down to beach. Clean, RPN was right across the street and extremly helpful! They books my transfer to and from hotel, fixed the WiFi when it wasn't working and answered any other questions we had. Streets not paved so it was nice to have them tour transportation. Market right down the street was great! Cooked breakfast in room each morning. My husband is ready to buy a Villa here!
A guest from Ballwin, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2016 We vacationed here for spring break with my 2 kids and had a great time. The management company was amazing- thank you Lola! The property was clean, nondescript but had everything we needed. Slightly secluded which I liked, and lots for the kids to do near the complex. The area seemed safe. There is a market, coffee/deli shop, and pizza/cocktail place across the street which allowed all the conveniences to be nearby. It is $5 for a taxi to Tamarindo- we walked down the street to the hotel which always had taxis nearby. Lots of restaurants to choose from and great food! Whitewater rafting tours are a 1 1/2-2 hour drive away but worth it. A/C and WiFi were very good!! You could see the beach from the balcony which I loved!!
Property Manager Response: Response from Tropical Vacations Suzanne - thanks for the review! We're so happy to hear you had a good stay. We hope to see you again soon.
A guest from Western Springs, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 28 days in January, 2016 Terrific place to stay. Right on the beach! Sunsets from the balcony. No need for a car...just walk to town (on the beach). Immaculate grounds and pool. Fantastic, friendly staff. Condo is clean, tastefully decorated. Our third trip to Langosta and this was our favorite.
Property Manager Response: Response from Tropical Vacations Gary and Shara - thanks so much for your review! We're really glad you had a good time and hope to see you again in the future.
Amanda W. from Carleton Place, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 16 days in December, 2015 Villas Langosta #9 by RPM was great - the condo was impressively clean (I am very concerned with cleanliness and I was so happy with how clean the condo was). Even the sheets were welcoming, and crisp.Kitchen amenities were good, well working, dishes were in good condition and plentiful. The patio railing is poured cement, and fyi the spindles are too far apart to have children on the patio. We found we had no desire to use the patio anyway, we'd rather be down at the pool. The pool at Villas Langosta is great, Guillermo takes great pride and care of the premises, the flowers/trees etc. making the interior court yard of the condos like a tropical paradise. There is security on duty at the entrance to Villas Langosta, I'm not sure what they do or if they check everyone coming in, but it was nice to know they were there. The beaches in front of Villa Langosta are rocky at low tide, but more beachy at high tide. We walked on the beach to the left for about 7 minutes every morning, arriving at Barceló's nice sandy beach. This is where we played each morning. There is a corner-store style grocery store 100m from the condo, and a sandwich shop across the street (try the meatball sub), but all other restaurants/shopping are at least a 1km walk or a taxi ride. We walked to "Waterman's" shop (less than 1km away) often for ice cream. As we were leaving, a new restaurant was opening across the street from the condos(cocktails and pizza - should be wonderful).RPM helped us coordinate an estuary tour (they arranged cab, company, etc.). It was great, RPM was extremely helpful and the company they booked us with was very nice. RPM offered many options to us for tours, etc.I travelled with 3 children under 4 years old, and though it's unrelated to RPM, please be aware that Tamarindo is not the best destination for young kids, and most local activities are physical (surfing, zip lining) and not suitable for todd
Property Manager Response: Response from Tropical Vacations Thank you so much for the great review. We are so glad you and your family had a great time. We hope to see you again real soon.
Luis G. from Turrialba, Cartago recommends this property. El condominio es muy silencioso, todos los vecinos muy amables. Un lugar recomendado 100%
Reviewed by: By W. recommends this property. Stayed for 69 days in January, 2014 This being our 14th year in Villa Langosta #9, it is clear that we have always enjoyed our stay. The space is fine, the view good, the pool enjoyable, and the friends who return every year are great. We appreciate the addition of a good, counter-top "oven" which we used quite a bit.Lola, in the RPM office, really makes that place tick.
Jonathan D. from Boston, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2013 Great location, steps away from beautiful playa Langosta, away from the crowds of Tamarindo, great amenities with security. We were five and had plenty of space. Recommendations; I would add a table and more chairs on the deck, as only two were provided. We brought the coffe table from inside outside, as this was a popular hangout. And I would Add a ceiling fan in this area. Also, The fridge was not workin properly, i discussed this with the management property and I am sure they will get this fixed for the next tenants. Overall, awesome, I 100% recommend and would stay here again.
Jane H. from Little Current, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2013 The condo units were perfect for our family and friends. We were close to the surf and just a few minutes from town...perfect!
Reviewed by: By W. recommends this property. Stayed for 69 days in January, 2013 All went quite well. Since these units have no ovens, we were disappointed with the replacement toaster oven, as it is very tiny and quite insufficient compared to the one which gave out during our stay. We will return next year, but hope a better toaster oven can be provided by that time.
A guest from Curridabat, San Jose recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2012 We traveled with children which made this place perfect as it is right at the beach, very clean, very nice staff. even though the permises are older they are very well maintained and in excellent shape!
A guest from Lakewood, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in December, 2012 Although the unit was clean and we enjoyed our stay there, we felt it needed some updating. The shower head in the MBR Bath is to high to use. When on, the water goes over the wall and into the bathroom area. We were forced to use as a hand held shower. Also the bath towels need to be replaced. The blender was old and dried out which fell apart when used. The small windows in MBR could use something to keep light out in morning.Patio could use a table and more chairs to enjoy outdoors. If would be great if there were an option to have bottle water delivered to unit.
A guest from Ruidoso, NM recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in May, 2012 Enjoyed the proximity to the pool and ocean. Spent each morning bathing or walking the beach. I would recommend this setting for anyone intent on relaxation. RPM is tops!
Reviewed by: By W. recommends this property. Stayed for 71 days in January, 2012 We return each year, partly because of the location and partly because of the guests who return every year. The RPM office should be very thankful for Lola, who really is the one who is friendly and makes things happen. Without her, our experience would be decidedly less satisfying.
Jim K. from Boulder, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2011 Easy five minute walk to a great swimming beach at Langosta. Very uncrowded and undeveloped compared to Tamarindo. The beach right next to the condo is pretty, but not for swimming. Easy drive or bus into Tamarindo for shopping or surfing or hanging out with lots of other tourists. The condos are very comfortable and well equipped. Ours had a boogie board, which was great! The pool is nice for a rinse after being in the ocean.
Louise K. from v, b does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2010 While the condos at Villa Langosta were well maintained with lovely grounds, they are just too far away from Tamarindo.( If you stay here you need a car.) The beach is poor for swimming and even the surfing is too difficult unless you are an expert. As well there are sand flies or some sort of bug that come out at sundown and bite like crazy. I had over 50 extremely itchy bites on my legs that did not go away for a least a week. (Take strong insect repellent and Benedril ointment!) As well there is only a very little store for supplies and no restaurants - and no barbeque at the unit! The restaurants in Tamarindo are fabulous but you have to walk about 25 minutes on a dirt road with no sidewalks and very little lighting to get there. - Stay in Tamarindo - the Hotel Diria is wonderful!
Chris S. from Severna Park, MD does not recommend this property. Stayed for 9 days in June, 2009 Unit is aging and needs renovation. Air conditioning in one bedroom didn't work and then leaked. Not enough consumables were provided, the jacuzzi didn't work, and the unit didn't smell good.
Property Manager Response: Response from Tropical Vacations Hi Chris, Thanks for your input, we had contacted the owner about your comments and hopefully he will be expending some money to upgrade the unit. Eduardo
Reviewed by: By W. recommends this property. Stayed for 56 days in January, 2009 We have rented Unit #9 for nine consecutive years, so that pretty much tells the tale. We would not return if it were not OK. Size of the unit, size of the complex and general location make it pretty desirable.
Reviewed by: By W. recommends this property. Stayed for 23 days in February, 2008 Thankfully Playa Langosta is a bit beyond Tamarindo and there is no road that runs through it to another location, so traffic is held down quite a bit. Also, very few condos have windows on all four sides, as do those at Villa Langosta.
