Shelley G. from Alamo, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2016 Needed a last minute getaway close to my sister's place and this one fit the bill. Clean and neat, this is classic Tahoe '70's, complete with pink bathtub!
Pamela G. from Everett, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2016 The management was very detailed with instructions and information. The property met our expectations. Would stay here again.
Solita E. from Sebastopol, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2016 this property was great. well stocked just like being at home, away from home. my family and i enjoyed our winter stay. the house was cozy, we didn't eat out at all i cooked everyday. there was snow right outside. short distance from homewood for skiing and a sledding area for kids and adults also a short distance away. on the downside i could not wait to get back to my own bed, the beds are extremely hard. there are no outside lights on the property making it impossible to do anything at night. i never seen the property manager the whole week. overall i give this property a 6.
Stacy M. from Vacaville, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2016 Great house with everything we needed close to Homewood. Plenty of space for our family of 6. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean and well kept. The neighborhood was quiet and off the main street. The only problem we had was finding the location of the home. We drove in when it was dark. The house numbers go from 406 to 408 to 412 to 407 all on the same side of the street. So when you see 406 and 408 just keep driving. When we called the rental company to get help with directions they seemed very annoyed and after helping us with directions actually hung up on us. Other than that everything was great.
A guest from Newport Beach, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2015 This cabin is a great value. While it may not be the most up to date, everything you need is there and is in great condition. For the money, this place cannot be beat. First accommodation was easy to work with and everything was as expected. A great place on the Weat Shore.
Tim H. from Fair Oaks, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2015 My family enjoyed the close proximity to Chambers Landing. The house was OK. It was comfortable. The deck out back with the bbq was a highlight of the house. Stove needs to be updated as we tried to cook on it, but burners were very inconsistent. Downstairs shower needs to be repaired: doors almost impossible to slide and rotting marlite around window was an eyesore.
A guest from Morgan Hill, California recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2015 The cabin was comfortable and cozy. They had everything we needed for our stay (even kitchen scissors) and everything was in working order. The mattresses were all firm. The only drawback for me was the inconvenience of the electric bear wire that has to be fastened and unfastened as you come and go through the outside doors.
A guest from Santa Barbara, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2014 We enjoyed staying in what we, and others, described as a real Old Tahoe cabin, even though there were a few drawbacks. It was very appealing with a woodsy look and great fireplace and deck, but the beds were not husband had to sleep on the living room sofa, since two of us in the bed made the mattress sink dramatically in the middle. It was ok for just one. There was noise from trucks, etc., but that usually ended overnight, but we all wore earplugs overnight. The house was clean and the property very comfortable. Lots of books and games were provided, but the kitchen could be better stocked with some cooking basics. There were no wine glasses. We all agreed that it was in a good location, other than the proximity to the street. The propert manager couldn't have been more helpful, though. We would recommend this rental property without hesitation, but with full knowledge of the drawbacks. We have participated in an annual family reunion in Homewood for 45 years!
Jean T. from Martinez, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2014 The cabin is centrally located between Tahoe City and South Shore. We had a great time relaxing at the beach and enjoying the wilderness! The cabin was clean and felt comfortable.
Mary S. from Lodi, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2011 The location was great, quiet and close to hiking and the lake. The beds were awful, like sleeping on a box spring. I slept on the sofa after the first night. The oven does not work properly it never got hot enough to cook. Even though property did not appear dirty, you could smell dust on the bed and sofa. Pillows and bed covers need to be aired out. There were no smoke detectors, however the property management said they would get that taken care of. Luxury rentals were approx the same price, we stayed here because we could bring our small dog, but next time would leave the dog with friends or at the kennel so we could sleep comfortably. Personally I would be embarassed to rent out my property with the mattresses that were in this place. Should have rented for much less
Steve D. from Encino, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2011 Other than the kitchen sink which fell probably as a result of a recent remodel our stay was very enjoyable. The home was clean and proved to be ideal for our family's vacation needs.
