This tastefully refurbished Habersham home is housed in an historic office building built in 1848, across from the original Court House and what is now the Savannah College of Art and Design's Habersham Hall. The building was originally constructed for Alexander Robert Lawton (1818-1896), a Harvard law school graduate who became a confederate Brigadier General in charge of the Georgia coast defenses. The blending of antique wood floors and beams, and brick, melded with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops in the gourmet kitchen make for a perfect blend of old world charm and modern convenience. Safely located just up the street from the Savannah Police Department Headquarters.

Like most Savannah homes, to take advantage of prevailing breezes and street views, the main entrance is above street level and the front door opens to a broad staircase flanked by Savannah brick leading up to this luxurious two bedroom, two bath home that in addition to the gourmet kitchen with breakfast bar, a sitting parlor with a beautifully detailed fireplace complete with a tapestry, built in bookcases with a wide variety of titles, the requisite electronics including a large flat screen TV, stereo and DVD player, wide-plank hardwood floors, wood rafters throughout, and charming old Savannah exposed brick walls. Private bedrooms with comfortable queen size bedding in each, one includes a tiled master bath and the second highlighted with a second brick fireplace and built-in bookshelves with its own tiled bathroom adjacent. Lots of light and air with the many windows on the front, side and rear elevations and at the same time the white plantation shutters make for a quaint and quiet atmosphere. Catch the river breeze from the back porch and enjoy the shade from the live oak trees out front.

Located in the "heart of the landmark historic district" with easy access to the River, Squares, downtown shopping, historic and noteworthy buildings and architecture, restaurants, cafes, museums, trolley tour pick up, and all the points of interest that Savannah has to offer our intrepid guests.

Additional amenities include dedicated off street parking, high efficiency front load washer and dryer and high speed internet access with a computer and printer.

Cancellation notice required for this property is no later than 21 days prior to the check in date (45 days prior for rentals 30 days or longer).

RATES are based upon a three night minimum stay. A two night stay may be available inside of 30 days at a higher rate.

Low season dates consist of (excludes holidays or special events): November - February, July – August


Low Season: $182 ($175 with *Cash Discount) per night

High Season: $208 ($200 with *Cash Discount) per night

Holiday & Special Events: $223.60 ($215 with *Cash discount) per night

Rock & Roll Marathon Weekend: $280.80 ($270 with *Cash Discount) per night

St Patrick’s Day Week: This property does not rent over St Patrick's Day Week.

Cleaning fee: $52 ($50 with *Cash Discount)

15% discount off of 7 night stays

All reservations do require a refundable security deposit and a non-refundable processing fee. Fees will vary with online booking.

*Rental payments are due twenty days prior to the check in date (no exceptions). Accepted forms of cash payments are personal checks, cashier`s checks and money orders. Accepted credit cards are Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. If booking within twenty days of check in, full payment via credit card is required.
