This condo is part of the Alfred Haywood House. Centrally located in the heart of the historic district, the building is at the corner of Abercorn and Oglethorpe, directly across the street from Colonial Park Cemetery (the oldest cemetery in Savannah) and closest to Chippewa square.
Chippewa Square: General James Edward Oglethorpe (who had previously founded the colony of Georgia) founded Savannah in 1733. He designed his new capital as a series of neighborhoods centered around 24 squares. Chippewa Square is at the center of the downtown historic district. The square is also at the center of Savannah’s nightlife and entertainment, largely in part because of the Historic Savannah Theatre, it’s the oldest theatre in the United States and still produces shows nightly. The Square is also known for the famous park bench scenes from the critically acclaimed film Forrest Gump.
Flanked by St. John’s Cathedral and SCAD, the condo is just a short walk to Savannah’s most desirable attractions; Forsythe Park, Broughton Street shops, City Market, River Street entertainment and the Telfair Museum. The unit is located directly on the St. Patrick’s Day parade route and nestled comfortably in the middle of everything; Harris bakery, J. Christopher’s and Parker’s high-end deli/gift shop/gas station which is open 24 hours, are all just a short walk (1 block) away. There are fabulous places to eat, like “The Ole Pink House” or “Vic’s on the River” all within walking distance.

The bedroom boasts a beautiful antique 4 poster queen bed dressed in luxurious European bedding, down pillows and duvet. A full sized closet, full length mirror and plenty of drawer space provide ample room for all your things. The bathroom combines vintage style and modern utility with amenities such as the double marble vanity, full sized tub/shower, upgraded fixtures and premium linens. Move in and feel right at home!
Whether you love to cook or are just looking to save a little money on vacation by making a few meals at home…a full kitchen is an advantage that you do not get at a hotel. This fully equipped eat-in kitchen has brand new granite countertops, matching appliances, dishes, glassware/flatware, cookware and comfortable seating for up to 4 people.
Full sized, coin operated washer and dryer are available inside the building across from the unit for your convenience.
We are located on the second floor. There is a beautiful courtyard available for your use, with porch swing, garden seating and communal grill. Street parking is available directly in front of the building and is free on weekends and after 5pm on weekdays.
The unit directly below has the exact same floor plan and is also available for rent (availability pending) if you would like a little more space.

RATES are based upon a three night minimum stay. A two night stay may be available inside of 30 days at a higher rate.

Low season dates consist of (excludes holidays or special events): mid November - February, mid June – August
Low Season: $140.40 ($135 with *Cash Discount) per night
High Season: $156 ($150 with *Cash Discount) per night
Holiday & Special Events: $166.40 ($160 with *Cash discount) per night
Rock & Roll Marathon Weekend: $213.20 ($205 with *Cash Discount) per night
St Patrick’s Day Week: $260 ($250 with *Cash Discount) per night
Cleaning fee: $52 ($50 with *Cash Discount)

All reservations do require a refundable security deposit and a non-refundable processing fee. Fees will vary with online booking.
*Rental payments are due twenty days prior to the check in date (no exceptions). Accepted forms of cash payments are personal checks, cashier`s checks and money orders. Accepted credit cards are Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. If booking within twenty days of check in, full payment via credit card is required.
