Our two young children really enjoyed the stairs inside. It was concerning that the railing didn't go all the way to the top, but fortunately was not a problem. (They do have a safety gate if needed). Everything was within walking distance which was very nice. The office staff were great and provided us with everything that we needed. Great little getaway! |

The only thing lacking was a good mattress to sleep on. We were told this cabin would be remodeled soon and I would definately rent it again when they is located in a group of cabins so the parking is tight. But being able to walk to town was a plus and you are within walking distance of the lake. Thumbs-up!! |

Stayed for 2 days in December, 2012 In the dead of winter it was warm, comfortable, plenty of hot water, and all if the kitchen equipment we needed. There was a VHS player and movies in one bedroom and we decided to watch them. Unfortunately it was for show and the VHS player did not even have a plug in to the tv. But if that's the worst thing that happened we are pretty lucky. |

Christmas in the snow Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2012 Our stay was too short but we are thankful for any time we can spend with family. The cabin was warm and the beds very comfortable. The coffee maker didn't work so we were a bit disappointed when we couldn't wake up to our Starbucks and the pots and pans were few. However, when we explained our dilemma to the owners they immediately provided what we needed. They were kind, friendly, professional, and very accomodating. In the future we will make the Knotty Pines Cabins our destination when we visit Shaver Lake. |

I would recommend that the shower certain be secured more, the stove wasn't working right and the cold water pressure in the up stairs bathroom was very low. Upstairs VCR was missing the tv cable so we couldn't use it. Luckily we brought a DVD player but all movies played black and white on the downstairs tv. We had just used the DVD player at home so we know it wasn't the DVD player. Cable was a great amenity. Set up was perfect. We loved the fire pit. The staff was amazing and soooo helpful. Can't wait to go back. |

A few days at the lake with perfect weather. The cabin is the best! Great location. You can walk to all places in Shaver, and yet when your at the cabin it is peaceful and quiet even though it's near the main road. Cabin had everything we needed and more. The people taking care of the rental are just wonderful. Extremely helpful and friendly. We have rented from them before and will do so again. Thank you Knotty Pines rental. |

Liked the cabin not the property management company or location A guest from Fresno, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2012 Cabin very close to main road so expect noise level to be high. Also located next to rental office and staff parked their cars in front of cabin and were in and out all day and had a bbq in our driveway. I barely got a hello when I arrived and a goodbye when I left. Our first sight was a backhoe tractor parked outside the kitchen window which blocked the path to the firepit and back door. Overall, I didn't feel like I was treated as a guest that came for peace and quiet and privacy. The cabin was quaint and very clean and I was happy they allowed a dog since it's hard to find places that do. |

In Great Hands Janine E. from Hanford, Ca. recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in March, 2012 The office staff were extremely helpful and friendly! When we woke up we were snowed in. I called (on a Sunday) and talked with the office staff from the cell phone # provided on the voicemail. I asked if any snow removal trucks came to take care of all the snow so we could head up to china peak, otherwise we were stuck in the cabin (with two teenagers, and two 10 year olds!) She said they would be there in an hour. They had it cleard and we were on our way in 30 minutes! They were more than generous with the flexibility of the check out time since the cabin had not been reserved for the following evening. We were able to come back after enjoying our day at the slopes, pack up then check out. I have stayed at "the Pinecone" twice and love the Charm and Coziness it provides. The Wildflower was great for the amount of people we had with us (5 total). |

I liked the idea it had a ramp to the cabin instead of stairs and had a bed room down stairs. My Mother is 89 years old and this was very helpful.
