Villa Arturo is an old countryside house turned into a vacation home surrounded by a garden of citrus trees. You will be in an area far from traffic and rich in green, only 700 meters (about 2,297 feet) from Piazza Tasso, which is the heart of the historical and tourist center of Sorrento.
At Villa Arturo, you will find the main house, where there are two vacation apartments (Villa Arturo A and D) and three cottages (Villa Arturo B, C and E).
Each apartment has its outdoor private space furnished with a table, chairs, an umbrella, and deck chairs. Moreover, every guest at Villa Arturo will have a large and beautiful shared swimming-pool at their disposal.
The garden and the swimming pool
The garden of Villa Arturo is a typical garden from Sorrento, where lemon and orange trees are cultivated. It is a garden filled with colors and intense perfumes: all among the green and shiny crowns of lemon and orange trees and their yellow and orange fruits reflecting their colors like sun-like little spheres.
And in case you come in May, you will find the citrus trees at Villa Arturo and all over Sorrento in bloom: the sweet and intense perfume spreads from gardens and takes over streets regardless of the traffic there might be. As an old Neapolitan song says, “it’s that scent, which along the sky and the sea of Sorrento, grants us joy to live and willingness to sing!”
Around the swimming-pool, you will also find a green lawn rich in citrus trees. You will find sun loungers and umbrellas as well.
The swimming-pool is 9 x 5 meters (30 x 16 feet) large, and it opens from Easter to the end of October.
Villa Arturo D is an apartment on the second floor of a villa. In order to enter it, you have to climb an outdoor spiral staircase which will lead you to the terrace. Watch out as you may find climbing a spiral stairway to the second floor not very handy and comfortable. However, the effort will pay off as you will be delighted by the beautiful terrace upstairs!
The terrace is spacious and it overlooks the garden and the swimming-pool below, Sorrento, and the surrounding hills. You will find a table, chairs, sun loungers, umbrellas: the terrace will be your favorite place to relax outdoors and have meals under the stars...
From the terrace you will be able to reach the living-room through a patio door. You will find a satellite-dish TV, a dining table, and a kitchenette.
The kitchenette is spacious and comfortable. It’s equipped with a four-burner stove, an oven, a fridge with freezer, and a washing machine.
Near the living-room you will find the three double bedrooms and the bathrooms. From the bedrooms you have a beautiful view of the garden and the valley where Sorrento is nestled.
Furnishings are complete and pleasant.
