First trip to Hawaii Tom L. from Suwanee, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in March, 2013 We found the condo very clean and with everything we needed to be comfortable. It was also close to shopping, tour pickup and the things we wanted to do on our first trip to Hawaii. The property itseld was well maintained and we were pleased with the location. My only recommendation would be to have a grab bar installed in the shower since some of us are a little older and feel better it we have something to hold on to. Otherwise a very good experience. |

great location A guest from Hiroshima, ---- recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 We enjoyed our stay at Marine Surf. The parking was secure...which was important to us. The location was right next to the International Market Place. The beach was walking distance and the area not too lonely but not too loud either.The building security was great. In addition to not being able to enter the building without a special "clicker" (attached to the keys), you couldn't push a button on the elevator with the "clicker" either.My only "complaint" was when we were leaving we were instructed to leave our keys and the "clicker" in the room (it was an auto-lock system). We did, but then we realized we needed the "clicker" to activate the elevator to take us down from the 20th floor. I wish the instructions would have warned us about this, so we could have first secured our elevator before locking the keys and the clicker in the condo. Property Manager Response: Response from Captain Cook Real Estate The elevator will go to the lobby without the security "fob". We apologize for not thoroughly explaining that. |

Stayed for 7 days in November, 2012 From the start of making reservations to being met at the condo Captain Cooks staff was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. The condo was more beautiful than the pictures. Centrally located so there was no need for a car rental took the bus or walked everywhere. I was traveling alone so security was important to me. I felt safe in this unit. I was there for 7 days and felt like it was my home. Having the kitchenette was great as I could cook some of my meals. Nothing like having breakfast sitting on the lanai looking out at the ocean and mountains. Yes, there is street noise but with the lanai doors shut I didn't here it. Did get a wonderful view of the fireworks. I can't wait for my next trip and will definitely be contacting Captian Cooks for my rental! |

Stayed for 6 days in September, 2012 this condo was close to everything, food, shopping and the beach. everything is walking distance here. the condo itself was clean and had everything that we needed. for the price, I think this place was worth every penny! if you're looking for a 5 star hotel, this isn't it. but if you're looking for a place that is clean and has a kitchen so you can at least have the option of cooking if you want, then this place is perfect. oh yes and a 5 star hotel would cost you at least 2-3 times more :) the view wasn't great, but at the same time, the only time we were in our condo was when we were sleeping so it didn't really matter. overall good stay for a good price. would recommend it to others for sure! |

We had a minor issues to start, the sink drains became clogged. Paul was very helpful and probably went above and beyond to get it taken care of quickly for us. Overall the only thing that we noticed, was the unit had not been deep cleaned. It was not unreasonably dirty, and it was not exceptionally clean. It was nice that there were basic living supplies as well when we got there. |

It's in a great location and the room was quiet with a great view. The apartment was very clean and the property manager was responsive and friendly when we checked in. We appreciated the extra little things, like additional pillows, Kleenex, beach chairs, and a brand-new sponge for washing dishes. We would definitely return. My only gripe (which is not within the control of the property management company - they are great) is that the building doesn't have a recycling program - I felt guilty throwing so many recyclable items in the trash. |

Stayed for 8 days in December, 2011 Pluses: Convenient central Waikiki location, free parking space, lanai with view, well equipped kitchen, in-room wi-fi & phone, reasonable price, decent sized clean room.Cons: A bit noisy, in the evenings with rumbling of large hvac units in other buildings, in the mornings there's noise of big trucks and buses. Running the air conditioner and closing the lanai doors did help drown out that noise for sleeping. |
