Wonderful experience! Our second trip.
Julie J. from Marietta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2016 Hubby and I visited the Fish Trap last year, and loved it. We took our two dogs (paid extra, but well worth it), and the four of us had a great time. This year, we rented it and took Hubby's two sisters and their husbands. We were six in all--eight with the dogs. The cabin had everything we wanted; the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and all kinds of utensils and containers. All but one of my in-laws fish, so they really enjoyed getting up early to cast their lines in the river. They just left their poles on the deck, and any time they took a fancy, they went fishing. Our dogs enjoyed playing in the water and chasing each other around the yard. I walked them on leashes every day down to Gibbs, but the rest of the time they were off leash and loving it. (They don't wander off as long as we stay outside with them, and we did.) My sisters-in-law and I went into downtown Blue Ridge. Small and quaint shops, as you'd expect in this type of area. The town is very pet-friendly; two of the places we shopped--a thrift shop and a store that specialized in rocks--donated a percentage to animal care. My sisters-in-law bought geodes at the rock store, and the owner took one outside to put it into his "geode breaker" (looked like a giant nutcracker). It was beautiful on the inside. We had a great time. Back to the cabin to find the men firing up the gas grill for dinner. We stayed three nights, and all of us really found a way to unwind and chill out. My in-laws want to come back next year for a repeat. I can't wait!
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. What a marvelous way to share your experience! Thank you so very much, we enjoy having you and your family with us and we will be ready for your next enhanced vacation. Can?t wait to have you back!
Amanda P. from Hephzibah, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2016 Most relaxing and peaceful place. Cabin was beautiful. Nice open floor plan. Plenty of space for bigger families or multiple families. Screened in porch and patio was very nice.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. As always, we thank you for your comments and specially for staying with us. Toccoa Fish Trap is featuring Free Library Exchange so next time please bring your favorite book and when you finish reading in the enjoyable screen porch you can leave it in the library and take another of your choice. Hope to see you very soon for another enhanced vacation!
Suzanne M. from Marietta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2016 Toccoa Fish Trap was awesome. Very quiet and relaxing. We couldn't ask for more. We had a great time. Want to come back with the whole family. Plenty of room for all...
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Your comments are very valuable for us and other travelers, we thank you for sharing your experience and we will be waiting for your next AWESOME family vacation! Thanks a million.
A guest from Powder Springs, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2016 We were attending a wedding in Blue Ridge on Friday night and decided to make it a family weekend. The house was spacious enough for me, my wife, our two boys and their beautiful expecting wives. We also had our fur babies with us to enjoy this mountain retreat. Everyone truly loved being on the river.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. And we loved having you and your family! We want you back soon to keep making lasting family memories at Toccoa Fish Trap. Thank you very much for your comments and know that we value you much.
Kenneth W. from Miramar Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in December, 2015 We very much enjoyed the cabin and the location. The manager was helpful and easy to reach. The cabin was clean and roomy, and very comfortable. The location was great, and the river was beautiful. Our only suggestion was with a one week stay there was a real need for a broom, and vacuum cleaner!! It would have been great if we could have swept up everyday after tracking around outside!!!
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. It was great having you with us and we hope to have you back very soon. We are going to be sure we have a broom or vacuum handy in the cabin. Thanking you again for your comments.
A guest from Mandeville, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2015 We absolutely loved this cabin that we rented a couple of days before Thanksgiving. It was just as described and super clean and lovely being on the river! Nice location for traveling to nearby towns. We will be back next year for sure. I wish it was not so cold so we could of enjoyed the screened porch area more. The fireplace was a little tricky to use but if you call the Management, they will "walk" you through how to work it. My only suggestion is that a railing needs to be placed on the wall to the downstairs suite area. The stairs are quite steep and a railing would give you that extra feeling of safety.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. You are an AWESOME guest! Love having you with us for many years to come. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and hope to see you very soon.
Christopher C. from Bell Buckle, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2015 What an excellent place to get away and have some peace and quiet. A very nice, clean cabin on a beautiful stretch of river that has everything you need. A fire pit, hot tub, nice waterfront deck to read, fish, eat, etc.... And tons of room for multiple guests. Bring some food and plan to stay for awhile, you will love it.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. What a wonderful comments, thank you so very much for sharing your experience and we will be waiting for your next vacation with us!
Gina E. from Sorrento, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2015 This home is roomy and very comfortable. It offers three bedrooms and three baths which was important to three separate adult couples or singles. The common areas are spacious and accommodate five adults or more very well. The management staff was helpful and kind. It is noted that there is a history of small complaints about the dishwasher latch, the oven dial, and the fireplace and the absence of a broom. We worked around them but found we had the same issues and believe since this is not an inexpensive rental, these issues should be fixed once and for all. These did not overshadow our wonderful, beautiful week there, however. The home and grounds are lovely and we hope to return in the not too distant future.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Thanking you for your kindness in sharing your experience. In a note, the fireplace is in a good operation actually the property owners replace it for a new one so no problems occur anymore; the dishwasher latch has to be to push it in and up to get open; the stove is new and there is not a problem with the dial just need to push it in to turn it on or off. LOL sometimes is challenging to operate different systems in different locations, but I can fully assure you that all appliances are functioning in optimal stand. Remember, you always can give us a call if you have questions. See you soon!
Jodi S. from Hahira, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2015 This is the 3rd time we have come & expect to continue renting this cabin. It is very clean and the location is exactly what we wanted on the river close to the fish traps & can see the train go by.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. We are always so happy to have you with us, you are the perfect guests and we cherish you very much. See you next one!
Tena G. from Dallas, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2015 Great location, beautiful view, right on the Toccoa River. Comfortable beds, spacious, clean and peaceful. We loved the screened porch overlooking the river. Toccoa Fish Trap is perfect for couples or families who like tubing, canoeing, kayaking or just getting away. We will be back!
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. We do appreciate very much your comments and hope to see you back soon for another enhanced vacation experience!
Christopher S. from Orlando, Florida recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2015 The "fish trap" exceeded our expectations. It was nice waking up to a flowing river every morning. The house was very clean, as was the hot tub. My family and I will be back
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. What a wonderful comment! Thank you very much for your kindness and we will be waiting for your next enhance vacation experience and family fun.
Philip H. from Newnan, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2015 Cabin was quite nice and easy to find. It was well appointed with comfortable furniture and amenities. However, due to a storm a few days before our stay, the internet was knocked out and never restored during our stay. A couple of other issues were with the Dishwasher (Locked & would not open), and the lack of silverware (forks, spoons, etc..), that I believe may have been locked in the dishwasher from the previous guests stay. I wish this would have been identified by the rental management staff prior to our visit. The river is beautiful though, and quite peaceful to watch and listen to as it streams by. Be prepared for cold water if you want to swim, but it's not unbearable.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Thank you very much for your comments, we always appreciates to know what is in your mind. We are very happy to know that you enjoyed the cabin and your vacation; however, we hoped you contacted us during your stay to resolve the situation of the dishwasher handle, as soon as you checked out we took immediate action to fix the issue, we have to report that the handle was in good condition is just that you need to push with your fingers at the same time you pull the handle to be open, no repair was needed. Hopping to have you back soon!
A guest from Savannah, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2015 Even though a tree crashed in the front yard and took out the power, the management company was incredibly helpful and we felt like we were the top priority. Our 3rd year at this cabin and it just keeps getting better and better.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. We always love having you with us; you are so AMAIZING guests and always waiting for your arrivals. Thanking you for your kindness and consideration and know that you and your safety is always our priority. See you soon!
Reviewed by: Gregory L. recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2015 We loved the cabin and location. First of all the cabin is real clean and really nicely decorated. It is first class interior furnishings. It is right on the river. Fished everyday but didn't catch anything. Might not have had the right bait and water was running pretty swift most of the time we were there. The management company did a great job of customer service in all aspects. We will definitely rent it again !
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Thank you for the opportunity to enhance your vacation and happy to be on timely assistance to you. Please be back soon!!
Jodi S. from Hahira, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2015 We were here in March and came again for Memorial Holiday weekend and plan to come back Labor Day, so you know we really like it and don't want to leave when it is time!
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. You are totally AWESOME! We are so proud of having frequent guests like you infusing renovate energy and enthusiasm in our team. Thank you very much!
A guest from estill springs, Tennessee recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2015 Pictures do not do this rental justice. The entire property is very well kept, inside and out. The property manager was very friendly and accommodating. The fact that dogs are allowed was just an added bonus. It was nice to bring them along instead of finding a sitter. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we have already decided this will definitely be one of our "get aways" every year!!!
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. With our appreciation to your comments and hopping to see you back soon. Please don?t forget to subscribe to our Free monthly Newsletter and receive special offers.

Jennifer N. from Hawesville, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2015 Stayed for 4 nights at this beautiful location. Accomodation were excellent. Everything you need. Very clean and comfortable beds. Loved the BBQ on back porch. Fishing went bad with the cold snap but still managed catching a nice size trout! Loved the gas fireplace too, for enjoying in the evening.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Wonderful! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay again and now with the new gas fireplace. Thank you for staying with us and hope to see you back very soon.
Jodi S. from Hahira, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2015 This was a wonderful location and the house is nice & roomy. We have stayed in 2 other houses on Fish Trap Trail and this was best all around. We plan to try to come twice a year to relax and enjoy.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. What a pleasure having you with us and always happy to provide you with an enhance vacation. Please come back soon!
Joseph N. from Orlando, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2015 The Main issue when we arrived was the Fireplace not working. This Cabin has a poor heating system , it is colder in the family room and downstairs. If you turn up the heat then it gets to warm in main floor bedrooms and was hard to maintain a comfortable temp. for all 4 of us. Had the other couple gone it would have been imposible for them to sleep downstairs. One of our Friends wanted to watch a different program downstairs and had to layer up plus a heavy coat for one hours time. Guest reviews and Guest comments in the Cabin book, both state , this issue has been going on for quite a while. There were a few small plates put back on the shelf dirty and the Hall Bath was left with trash, but this was minor and We really like this Cabin and the access to the River was excellent and I was able to Wade out to the center with ease to Flyfish. I want to return in the Summer & Fall but won't unless you can assure me that the Central Heating & Cooling Systems & The Fireplace have been completely certified by a licenced HVAC person and can keep us comfortable in any Season! By the way Saturday morning we cooked up a big breakfast and I guess the smell traveled up into the atick , just inside the sunken room by the front door, we heard a scraping sound like claws trying to get through the ceiling to get to our food ? (Racoon?) You might want to check this out, since the ceiling is drywall, it will eventually get in, scared us to the point I ran into my room and held on to my gun. I hope you just won't brush this away as a hard person to please, I have been going to a Cabin in your area for the last 25 years and the last one for 5 and was looking for a new place that has the fishing to go along with it, but my Family , has to feel comfortable and safe at the same time. Thank You.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Thanking you for your comments; as we explained you prior to your arrival the fireplace had some malfunction that it was address already and the property owner is replacing the equipment for our guests enjoyment and our peace of mind. Also, we are taking care of the elusive squirrel in the roof. Thanking you again for your kindness and getting ready for your next vacation.
David M. from Mableton, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2014 Toccoa Fishtrap is a wonderful place to stay! we were surprised at how big the place is, first from the expansive sunken den and then going down the stairs to the complete lower level which we loved. We loved watching the train go by each day and sitting on the porch, even though it was cold, just to listen to the river go by. Very peaceful!Other than a few minor inconveniences, it was a great stay and the home had everything we needed. Thanks for letting us come and stay!
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Always is our pleasure to serve you and making your vacation and outstanding experience. Hope to see you soon!
Teri B. from Ponte Vedra Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2014 We have been vacationing on the Toccoa River 3-4 times a year for the last 7 years, however, this was our first trip to the Toccoa Fish Trap Cabin. It was incredible. The cabin is designed for comfort and you're able to see the river from every room. The fire pit by the river was enjoyed day and night. The kitchen is nicely equipped, which is a good thing because we cook all meals at the cabin! Wi-Fi was never a problem and the TV satellite was never a problem. Love all the yard space. We felt so secluded, yet close to the grocery store. Todd enjoyed fly fishing and happily caught a couple of small ones. Thankfully, he had his waders! OMG . . LOVED seeing the train go by during the day, and it was fabulous all lit up at night. The river is simply beautiful. Being able to have our little dog, Oscar join us on vacation was so special! We cannot wait to come back many, many times, especially in the summer, so we can enjoy swimming in the river. Thank you for offering a wonderful cabin for my family to enjoy. Only negative . . . the gas fireplace in the living room was challenging. Management came out to help, but I believe one of the parts needs to be replaced. Would be nice if cabin had a vacuum cleaner, mop and bathroom cleaner to tidy up when guests are there for a week. Yes, I'm a bit of a neat-freak :-)
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. We certainly enjoyed having you with us and Oscar is a wonder! I hope you will be back soon for another enhance vacation experience. Thank you very much for your comments and your kindness.
A guest from Flovilla, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2014 The entire family enjoyed this trip. The cabin was better than described on the site. My husband and I took the downstairs area. This was like having our own mini cabin away from the kids. We had everything that we needed after a trip to the grocery store. We didn't need to leave once after that. The water was actually at a decent temp for us to kayak also! We enjoyed the fire pit at night and had s'mores a couple of times. The boys fished a good bit but they never saw a fish. That was the only downfall. I really wanted my husband to be able to catch some fish. None of us wanted to leave. We also got a big thank you from the kids. We would love to go back!
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. What a fantastic vacation experience! Thank you so much for sharing your family memories and we hope to see back you very soon!
A guest from Woodstock, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2014 This is a great place to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. The cabin was everything I expected and more. The house and property are very well maintained. The access to the river is great! One evening we saw a four point buck walking down the river bank, opposite the cabin. We are looking forward to booking another weekend in the spring.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. We will be happy to have you back for a short getaway or a week vacation. Please let us know if we there is a way to make your stay an unforgettable one!
A guest from Parrish, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in October, 2014 We have visited the N GA mountains area for several years now and have stayed in private homes in the general area from Elijay to Mineral Bluff. We found the Toccoa Fish Trap cabin after specifically searching for it after riding the Blue Ridge train. In that my husband was learning to fly fish, we wanted a place right on the river that did not have a rough drive to access. We have stayed in places that misrepresented the ease of access. This home is perfect for us with one glaring exception. The insane timing of the dam releases make it nearly impossible to fish behind the cabin (the entire point of staying on the river). We have stayed in this particular home several times, now, and it has proven that the vast majority of the time, fishing was not possible. However, I myself, appreciate the comfort of familiar as we can build on our learning the area and memories instead of having to build on the unfamiliar. Especially considering if you are driving at night, it is much safer and less stressful when you are very familiar with narrow, rock sliding roads. We like the ease of access of this property but there are still stairs with which one must deal to enter the house. This house has the least amount of stairs with which we have had to deal. And the topper is our very well behaved little dog can be with us.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. We cherish your loyalty as our frequent guests and your input is very important for us. However, I like to underline that the cabin has 3 steps to front door and no steps at all in the side door coming from the parking space, what makes it very comfortable access when limited walking ability. In regards the release of water from the dam, we have all detail information to contact the authorities and to know the specific times of each day when the water will be released, what make it very easy to schedule fishing time in a safe manner. Toccoa Fish Trap is a premier fishing spot for beginners and serious fishermen along with the family enjoyment you will experience all you want in a vacation rental property.
Reviewed by: larry g. recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2014 House, river, weather, exceptional. Fishing was even good as long as Toccoa dam was not open. The house was very spacious, beautifully furnished, and well stocked. We had one issue with gas logs pilot light not staying lit. We called Anna, and 19 minutes later she was there to fix problem. My only complaint is again withe the Toccoa dam. First 2 days there they opened the dam at night(week-end).The next 5 days opened during the day which made fishing impossible. We met a wonderful lady named Danielle. She invited us to her restaurant "Daniell's" in Blue Ridge. Great food.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Is always a pleasure to assist you and enhance your vacation experience, we loved having you with us. Thank you so very much for sharing your comments and we will be ready for your next stay with us!
Danielle T. from Sanford, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2014 This is the second time in two years that we've stayed here with our best friends and dogs, and are already looking forward to returning next year! The location is amazing, and cabin is perfect! Got to see the leaves change this year - something you don't see in FL - and everyone even caught a trout. My husband, an avid bass fisherman, also caught his first smallmouth! Highly recommend staying here, even if to just relax!
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. What a wonderful experience! Thank you for sharing with us and we will be waiting for your return!

Reviewed by: Lucinda S. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 Our family vacation at Toccoa Fish Trap had something for everyone in our family. My son-in-law and nephew enjoyed the fishing while my granddaughters and great-nephew enjoyed tubing. My husband and I loved the cool weather and taking walks, seeing water falls, and sitting on the screened-in porch. We shopped in Blue Ridge and Murphy and enjoyed the museum in Murphy. The brochures in the cabin need to be culled as some are out of date so if you see something I would advise to call ahead to make sure all the information in the brochure is correct. My niece and her family drove up from Atlanta to spend a day with us and we found we were short on serveware(forks etc). However, we adapted and they had a great time. We loved the location of the home and caught lots of fish and enjoyed a lovely fish dinner our last day!!
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Thank you so much for your comments, highly appreciate it. We are going to double check the cabin information; however, you always can visit our website ?About the Area? and get the latest information for the business and outdoors activities.
Tom G. from Jacksonville, Florida recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in June, 2014 It was pleasant, the big trout were biting, the weather great. The house was set up better than any mountain house that I've rented and i have stayed in the north Georgia mountains every year sine 1998. Great retreat.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. We are so glad you enjoyed your vacation and we will be waiting for your many more! Thank you for sharing your valuable experience.
Marsha S. from Marietta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2014 The cabin was clean and beautiful with a lovely view. The screened porch with nice furniture was one of our favorite spots. The separate downstairs living area and bedroom makes the cabin perfect for two families. The cabin is much larger than it looks in the photos. The fish were not biting while we were there but we enjoyed fishing from the deck and wading in the river. Our only complaint was that there were no televisions in the bedrooms. We would definitely rent this cabin again!
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Thank you very much for sharing your vacation experience and we are so happy you enjoyed your stay. The property owners believe that the large flat screen TV sets in the living area and entertainment area are the perfect spots for meeting all the family and enjoy together some tv programming or a nice movie, hope you have the chance to share it as family time. Thank you again and please come back soon!
Debra N. from Oakwood, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2014 We were looking for a place to relax without noise and traffic. This was the perfect place to get away from the cell phone, tv, tablet, laptop, etc. without being far from civilization if needed. We sat on the porch facing the river and watched numerous animals pass by with their babies. Everything we needed was in the house and Ana Luisa was just a phone call away if we needed anything (which we didn't). It was even interesting watching the water rise when released from the dam and watch what floats by. The ducks and geese would swim upstream, then float back down on the swift current. Our dogs also enjoyed laying on the porch sleeping while the world passed them by. We would definitely stay here again (and again, and again, and again).
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Connecting with Nature and going back to basics is a wonderful experience and so needed these days with such busy lives. We always are happy to have you and thank you so much for sharing this wonderful experience. Please come back very soon!
Stephanie H. from Snellville, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2014 We only use Mountain Paws Cabin Rentals when we stay in this area as we have filtered thru some "other" rental companies. Ana was exceptional as I expected no change in service from past experiences. It has always been a pleasure dealing with this rental company and we will continue to refer only this company to family and friends. As far as the cabin- a wonderful experience for our family. We enjoyed the layout of the house, the layout of the decks- perfect for our dogs, the layout of the yard- loved being on the river, and the location! We will definitely rent this cabin again!!
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. You are always welcome with us, we count you as part of our hospitality family and we certainly appreciate your comments. We will be waiting for your next enhance vacation experience with us!

Anna wad absolutely WONDERFUL to work with and really helped us out with all kinds of info and was VERY responsive to our needs; even though she was extremely busy being sold out with all their properties. We really appreciated her professional customer servic and made our stay all the better. We definitely plan to come back!

Pamela A M. from Perish, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in October, 2013 This is the third time we have stayed in this "cabin". We have experienced several different types of cabins on various types of roads. We found this place after searching for it after riding the Blue Ridge Train. It coincidentally lays out similiar to our home in Florida (tv room) so when we're finally relaxing at night, it's comfortable. We love the area, just wish the DAM would not screw up the fishing behind the cabin which has been the experience the last two stays. This meets our requirements in that it has a king bed on the main floor, few stairs with which to deal and a entry road that is not paved all the way (ideal) but is the least "treacherous" of the gravel roads we have experienced (some were doozies and absolutely required 4 wheel drive vehicles that we did not have). We love AnaLuisa. She came to our rescue late one night after we accidentally deadbolted the door with the keypad. We love the area and the convenience of this particular location (can be in Blue Ridge or Morganton in just a few minutes; in Tennessee or North Carolina with a short drive. Restaurants, shopping, grocery, and other fishing spots are also close by.I just wish we were closer (or there permanently!!)Again, the only real complaint is that the dam makes fishing behind the cabin practically impossible.Oh, and I am NOT from "PERISH, FL". Perish the thought! I am from PARRISH, FL. PLEASE FIX THE NAME OF THE CITY BEFORE PUBLISHING.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. We are always so happy to have you with us! Thank you for your comments; we certainly appreciate your frank thoughts. As you may know, we can?t edit our guests? reviews, but I am changing the name of your town immediately. Thanks a million for your consideration and we will be waiting for your next stay with us!
Jancie S. from Athens, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2013 We loved the location of the home we rented. It was right on the river so we could enjoy the tranquility of the home. Our dogs really enjoyed hanging out on the deck, which had dog gates set up. The deck directly on the river was our morning retreat. Loved the large screened in porch. Very relaxing place to recharge.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Thank you very much for your comments, our first and foremost objective is to provide you with an excellent service so you can enjoy your vacation. We will be waiting for your next stay with us.
Lindsey H. from Woodstock, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2013 We went to this cabin to celebrate my best friend's bachelorette. The pictures did not due the property justice. It was so pretty and nicely kept and had everything we could possibly need (i.e towels, soap, pots and pans). My only complaint would be the management company. They took days to reply to my emails or just didn't reply at all. The directions to the cabin were wrong which got some the guests lost.(They said to take a left at the intersection with a Valero and Marathon gas station off highway 515. There is no Marathon there, it's an Exxon. I also had questions regarding how to get into the cabin and once I finally got someone on the phone the woman very rudely told me to read my directions. ("The keypad and lockbox code for the hot tub is XXXX"). I have never rented a cabin before and this small blurb was the only direction I was given. I spent over $500 for a less than 48 hour stay and couldn't even receive a little common courtesy from the staff. I hate to rant like this because the house was so amazing but the property management company left much to be desired.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. We are sorry you encounter some difficulties for your arrival, the name of the gas station we mentioned as land mark in the directions was change just few days ago, but we already update the information. We answered all your questions every time you and your family called us or sent an email, also is clear in the directions and security codes the keypad codes at the door, we apologize, but most of the time is a good idea to take a look at the documents we send, for your convenience they contain all the information you need step by step. Hope you enjoyed your stay at this beautiful cabin.
A guest from Savannah, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2013 Toccoa Fish Trap is a great spot to spend a few days winding down and just relaxing. It's also a great place for dogs who like to swim. The deck is furnished with a large table with chairs and an umbrella, so it's nice to stay outside, listen to the water rushing by while the dogs dry off. Lots of room to spread out, neighboring houses not too close, nice layout in the cabin. The internet service was spotty as was noted in other reviews, but who wants to spend hours on the internet when you can be outside enjoying nature. Suggestion to the owners - a clothes drying rack for the deck to hang wet towels. And maybe a clean up of the porch furniture! We hope to be back. Thank you to the property management team. They were very professional and helpful regarding the internet service.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. We loved to have you with us and hope you come back very soon! Sorry about the internet, but we are improving the service to keep you connected all the time if you wish. Thanks a bunch for your input.
A guest from Savannah, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 We love the area, the river and, now, Toccoa Fish Trap. We've vacationed 6 out of the past 8 years along the Toccoa River and this is the very best place we've stayed!
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. It was a pleasure having you with us, hope to see you all soon!
Nita C. from Maitland, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2013 We had a wonderful time! The cabin is beautiful and very well maintained. The sound of the river was very relaxing and we even saw a beaver swimming down stream! We would definitely stay at the Fish Trap again.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. It was delightful having you with us. If you have some pictures to share please send us a copy, we?ll love to include them in our site. Thank you for your kindness and comeback soon.
A guest from Smyrna, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2013 Our only complaint was the ant problem that we discovered after leaving perishables on the kitchen counter. We had stopped by Mercier's on the way in and bought goodies that the ants enjoyed before we were able to. A note letting renters know the potential for ants would have been helpful and we would not have had to throw away over $30 worth of food! I'm guessing you were aware due to the ant spray under the sink and the traps on the floors.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. We are sorry for the inconvenience you experience, we are working with the pest control to eradicate the ants that suddenly show up by the kitchen window; we can assure you this situation will not happen again. Thank you very much for your comments and hope you comeback soon for another great vacation.
Pamela A M. from Perish, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2013 Second time at Toccoa Fish Trap. AnnaLuisa is a SAINT and a delight; Coming all the way over to save us when we inadvertently locked ourselvesout of the cabin, not realizing so until AFTER 9pm!!! Very upset husband onour 37th anniversary. AnnaLuisa, MY knight in shining armor, saved the day, er... Night. Wonderful place, wonderful surroundings... Out there, yet, so close to everything. Will return every chance we get. From Parrish, FL.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Thank you so very much for your kindness and wonderful remarks. A guest from Dawsonville, Ga. recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in May, 2013 it was good with a couple of issues which were unfortunate. the landscaper that came to cut the lawn and stayed for over 7 hrs was annoying, the internet kept having to be reset, and most of all which you cant do anything about there was no fish, we never even saw 1 in the water.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Toccoa River and specially this cabin is the fishermen favorite spot, no fish in the river? That is unusual. With the thunderstorms sometimes the internet signal is lost for few moments and we just have to be patient with Mother Nature.Regarding the lawn service we are making a note to the property owner, we always prefer to have those services prior to arrival or after departure of our guests, however, with all the rain and the cabin booked back to back we needed to have the service during a dry day so you can be happy with a beautiful manicure front yard. We apologize if that was an inconvenience and we always appreciate your comments.
A guest from Greensboro, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2012 This was a small family reunion for Thanksgiving: my husband's brother and his wife, from southern Alabama, and ourselves. The drive in to the cabin, especially that horrible hill descending to the river, is not pleasant; however, the cabin itself is delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed being right on the Toccoa, with its daily risings; the bird life; and the train going by. We kept thinking how wonderful this would be in the summer, with grandchildren. The mountains of Georgia have a great deal to offer in the way of hiking, touring, and shopping and we kept very busy.We thank the owners and the staff of Enchanted Mountain Retreats for providing this most welcome retreat for us.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Don?t wait any longer and make your reservation for summer! We will be more than happy to have you back once again. Thank you so much for your comments.
Danielle T. from Sanford, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 This place is a magical getaway! Stayed Labor day week. The weekend was perfect. We fished, checked out the area, and enjoyed the tranquility of the cabin. My husband caught his first wild Brown Trout and a couple of other decent trout. I can't say enough how much our family enjoyed the cabin. Now the only question is when we will be returning for another perfect vacation!!!
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Sharing your comments with us is delightful; make us feel part of your family, we already miss you all! Please comeback soon, we will be waiting for all of you!!!!
A guest from Thibodaux, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 Our family had the best time on the Toccoa at Fish Trap. The whole family MoMo, PawPaw, Colleen, Jeff, Caroline and Kailyn loved every minute of our stay in Mineral Bluff. Already thinking about when we can fit another trip in! Laurie was so helpful with our questions and couldn't do enough to make our stay great. The cabin was very clean, the best stocked we have stayed in, we felt comfortable from the moment we walked in the door. The access to the river was easy enough for MoMo and PawPaw. Tubing, Kayaking and just listening to the relaxing river sounds made our days enjoyable.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. We share with you your awesome experience and we will keep doing our best to enhance your vacation. Come back soon and remember to ask for your VIP frequent guest discounts.
Melissa L. from Ninety Six, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 Best vacation rental ever! There was never a shortage of things to do and it was very convenient to nearby towns. My favorite times were spent on the screened in porch out back by the river. It was the most relaxing experience. We spent over half our vacation fishing in the backyard and caught (and released) dozens of small fish. They seemed to love corn. We saw otter at play, deer, ducks, and many species of bird I'd never seen before. Everything you could ask for(and more than I expected) in space, furnishings, & amenities. Definitely will be back.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. Thank you so much for your input; we do our best to provide you with all the comfort you and your family deserve as VIP guest. Come back soon and let us know the ways we can enhance your vacation experience.
Lawrence P. from Calhoun, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2012 We had a great time at the cabin sitting out side on the deck over looking the river. The cabin was very nice and clean. We are making plans to stay there again.

Corrine H. from Jacksonville, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in September, 2011 Wonderful cabin, great location - everything was perfect. Only problem - 5 nights just not long enough for such a wonderful stay.
Mayris T. from Smyrna, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2011 We had such a wonderful time fishing, talking, relaxing in this wonderful cabin. It was such a great place to stay. Our family loved it and wants to come back again soon. It had everything that we wanted in a cabin and more. We loved the screen porch and deck over the river. It was beautiful and just what we needed to relax and enjoy the beautiful mountains and river. It will be a trip we will never forget. The guys caught some beautiful trout and had a great time wading the river. The real enjoyed the dock it was set up so well to fish from and just sit and relax. We will go back again and tell our friends about it too.
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. We were very happy to have you with us; you and your family are fascinating, we will keep in our memories your wonderful smile and your positive attitude towards life. We already miss you!
Subhod R. from Peachtree City, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2011 Great place to vacation, by the river, close to water sports, yet secluded away. Best part was that it was so very pet-friendly. This was my puppy's first retreat and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Everyone enjoyed it.
Caught 3 fish! out of 4 cabin/river stays so this is my fav.
A guest from Rotonda West, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2011 Loved the Cabin, nicer & bigger that pics online show, great yard for the dogs to explore. The dock was a great spot to relax & fish. Loved fishing in the river when the dam hadnt been released..usually released late afternoon. Enjoyed seeing the train pass while relaxing in the clean hottub
The stay at Toccoa Fish Trap cabin was delightful after the plumber came and fixed the faulty faucet in the kitchen sink. The th
Ellza J. from Gainsville, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2011 everything was great after all of that!
Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. I am glad we catch the kitchen faucet failure before your arrival, which gave us some time to fix the situation as a normal wear and tear of a vacation property. We are so glad you stayed with us specially because you leave next door. Thank you!
If you are looking for a place to relax and get away from it all....
James N. from Shoal Creek, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2011 Nicely apppointed home with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Quiet and private, we enjoyed the stream and ability to walk out the back door to fly fish. Although we didn't catch anything, we enjoyed every minute.
Steve P. from Brandon, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 All is well except for a couple of major points. First are the stairs into the living room. They need to be rebuilt so they are made correctly. They are dangerous as they are and resulted in a terrible fall for one member of party. He is tough and knew how to land so escaped serious injuries however...Next the A/C in basement is frigid. While the upstairs was 73-74 degrees the basement was 57, yes, 57 degrees. Something must be done. Lastly, the Direct TV is not working correctly. Unless you move channel up or down one at a time you lose the satellite. You cannot use guide and select station nor can you pick a channel with remote and go to it as signal is lost and takes forever to get back if it comes back at all. Good points override the negative by far however space for remarks is limited so...Property manager is GREAT and a joy to work with. We will call them again when we visit again for Christmas. Thank you
A guest from Parrish, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2011 Our visit at Toccoa Fish Trap was wonderful. The river could not be more beautiful. The house was the first one we have ever stayed at that had comfortable seating in one room for six adults. We enjoyed our coffee on the deck in the morning and the kids loved waving at the train in the afternoon. I just wish the men had been able to catch a trout!
