This lovely mountain cottage is hidden in the trees and provides the perfect setting for a romantic weekend or quiet family retreat. With so much nature to look at, everyone will love the spacious deck for morning coffee or evening meals.
Serene with lots of special touches, this beautiful mountain home is well equipped for comfort and convenience. Mother Nature will surround you as you relax in the outdoor hot tub or read on the large private deck. Consider watching a classic movie by a cozy fire after you have finished preparing your favorite meal in the fully equipped kitchen or retreat to the deck for a beverage and amazing star-gazing. Hikers will love the location. This charming cottage provides incredibly easy access to Dolly Sods and all of its beauty! Winter visits will require a 4-wheel drive the spacious carport makes loading and unloading an easier process. Although Foxwood is certainly in a private, secluded setting, it is an easy drive to the slopes at either Timberline or Canaan Valley. Summer visitors can be at Canaan's golf course in no more than 15 minutes!

It snowed non-stop the whole time we were there, but the hot jacuzzi and warm fire place made it nice and cozy for all of us. Perfect weather to go skiing, and the roads were plowed for easy access. Best of Canaan a professional organization. A guest from Roanoke, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2012 Property was as advertised except for the hot tub problem. This units tub has an issue with the jets which would resullt in the unit shutting down. After about an hour cool down you could hit the breaker and fire it back up....but who wants that hassle. Otherwise a great place. |

The location is very secluded - but we didn't see any wildlife on the property. The house is immaculate. Of course, there were mouse droppings but you are in the woods. Everything was well stocked - didn't need to bring much. Other guests had left charcoal (so did we) and there were little things like saran wrap and baggies etc. My family was amazed at the place. Thanks for a great stay in a beautiful setting. |

The view from the deck is nice, the hot tub is heaven, and the fireplace added to the cozy ambiance. As always, Donna and Amy at Best of Canaan were a pleasure to work with and had great suggestions for both activities and dining in that area. It was a lovely escape, and we didn't want to leave! |
