Vacation Cabin Rental Description:
An authentic Estes Park log cabin! This cabin rental in the Rocky Mountains is why you come to Colorado. The cabin was the first structure built at the Black Canyon Inn in 1927 and served as a guest house for the Stacey home.
Constructed out of native logs, the 650 sq. ft. cabin is a spacious one bedroom with a king bed. The headboard was made of fallen aspens from the grove by the pond. The cabin remains a favorite choice for romantic getaways and honeymoons and it is the only rental with a fireplace in the bedroom and living room.
The living room has a stone gas fireplace, television, dvd player and telephone. The bath features a two person jetted tub and a walk in shower. The new kitchen has a bistro style dining area to enjoy your morning coffee or a meal any time of day.
This cabin is nestled between rock formations and mature pine trees near the outdoor heated pool. You can also enjoy the views of Longs Peak from the southern facing deck.
We have many activities listed on our website to help in the success of planning your vacation to the Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, Colorado. For dining, Twin Owls Steakhouse on property is open nightly and located just up the sidewalk from the cabin.

Liked the heated floors, bed was very comfortable. Some things that could be improved: pillows for the couch, a throw for the couch, knives for preparing food are sorely lacking. My only disappointment was I thought the location of the cabin was more secluded, more private than it proved to be. We did enjoy ourselves, it was pretty quiet. Enjoyed the proximity to the Park too. |

Stayed for 3 days in September, 2012 I got married at the Black Canyon and my husband and I stayed in the Columbine Cabin for 3 nights. The location is stunning. It is nestled in the Rocky Mountains in Estes Park and has some very interesting and beautiful rock formations nearby (The Lumpy Ridge). It is very scenic. The cabin was very spacious with a front dinning area, porch, tv room, bathroom, and large bedroom. The mini kitchenette, (fully equipped with dishes, sink, dishwasher and a small fridge) and the Jacuzzi style bathtub were especially awesome. The staff is very friendly and professional. We would definitely recommend this location for a romantic, quiet get-away. |

We absolutely loved everything about our experience. The cabin is very cute and cozy and recently upgraded. We loved all the space, the jacuzzi tub and having our own little kitchen. I got ready there the day of the wedding with my girls and there was more than enough room. The entire property is beautiful, well kept, great staff and great location. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Estes.I would also highly highly recommend Black Canyon/Twin Owls for a wedding venue. Everything went flawlessly and our guests raved nonstop about how beautiful, unique and perfect everything was! |

Very nice...but. Robert B. from Miami, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 The bed, which we thought would be double beds, was a king--this created a problem. On top of that, the mattress was very lumpy and uncomfortable. The bedspread and supplied blanket were dirty and smelly (we washed the blanket). There was mildew in the shower stall. But the location and other circumstances were almost ideal--you could not ask for a nicer vacation spot. Our major negative was the restaurant--we went there one night and it took almost an hour to get served. The overcooked trout was smothered in some sort of unpalatable sauce and the bison strip steak (I'm not sure it was in fact bison) was covered in caramelized onions to the extent that it was like someone had dumped a jar of preserves over the meal. Very disappointing, particularly at the price. |

Thank you so much... thank you for making our 40th wedding anniversary so memorable... for the restaurant giving us 2 free glasses of champagne and for the bottle we received as well and the beautiful glasses as a keepsake! It had a wonderfully rustic feel, and was charming, though maybe could have used an additional chair in the living room area (the one chair in front of the window looked a little lonesome).The cabin was warm and inviting -- a very cozy nest in winter. Everything was clean, and the kitchen, while small, was fine for our needs. Eventhough it got quite cold while we were ther, the heated flooring and fireplaces kept us almost too toasty!The management was also wonderful. We needed to get some end of the year documents processed, and they endeavored to help us in every way.I would highly recommend this cabin and the Black Canyon Inn. This was one of the most delightful stays we've had in a long time. It has character, is romantic, unpretentious, and comfortable. Perfect! We will be back. |
