Loud and obnoxious people in the unit above.
Fonia M. from Gainesville, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2016 The rental was nicely decorated however could hear ever noise the people in the above unit made (stomping, running, walking taking showers and flushing the toilets) I would never rent this unit again. There were also palmetto bugs inside the unit.
Property Manager Response: Response from Seashore Vacations Inc We thoroughly regret that the guests above the unit were rambunctious and disturbing. We would suggest knocking on the door to request more quiet or to notify your rental company so that they can address any noise complaints. Palmetto Bugs are a nuisance but unavoidable during the hot/muggy rainy season. We will gladly resend exterminators if any live bugs of any sort are found in any of our rental properties. We hope that this guest will reconsider, or perhaps rent a unit that does not have a unit above.
Dale L. from Bogart, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2016 We've rented this unit for many years, as it has been one of our favorite units. During the last few years we've seen a decline in the maintenance of the unit. Most of the electrical outlets in the bedrooms have a plug that doesn't work. (There are no electrical outlets in the bathrooms, so having only a few other options made this a problem.) There are so many watermarks on the ceilings with cracks and peeling. Some light bulbs were blown. The worst and unacceptable problem was a roach/palmetto bug problem. We were killing bugs in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms constantly this past week, killing around 30-40. We are not bothered by a few which is unavoidable at the beach, but this was horrible. We called the Seashore office early in the week to get someone out and they simply said someone had sprayed "recently", as in we should just deal with it. No one arrived and no follow-up call was made to check on us. We will never rent this unit again.
Laura A. from Canton, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2015 I always enjoy staying at Beachwalk. My only complaint is at the time of reservation, Seashore should have told me the same rate applies for a 6 night stay as a seven night stay. I was not aware of this policy and had to call after I got the bill.
A guest from East Aurora, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2015 Location was great, property was nice. We had one issue with the dryer but it was fixed quickly. We would definitely stay there again.
A guest from Gaithersburg, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in March, 2015 We have several friends who also went to Hilton Head so we had a wonderful dinner party at our rental. I would say the only thing missing in the kitchen, believe it or not, is skillets. The bike trails are great and we were only a good block from the ocean. I wished the weather would have been better, but we took day trip to Savanna and Beauford and did a few rounds of golf. It was so nice seeing green grass and flowers. We did enjoy our stay.
A guest from Lake Worth, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2014 Everything was passable except for the giant monster BUGS. When we first arrived we picked up 5 dead large palmetto bugs. At night they where crawling around the kitchen sink, walls, floor. This continue for the entire week.We cut our vacation short.
Roumen L. from Chevy Chase, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 You have everything ,short walk to the nice beach, very clean pool, tennis across the street and very well maintained property. I had wonderful week with my family.
Joe N. from Grafton, WV does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 Unit had some maintenance issues. Outdoor shower was broken, several lights had bulbs missing, also killed several bugs during the week. Had problem with air conditioner on Thursday, called rental company, they sent someone right out. He found ductwork had come loose under the unit. He tried to shim the ductwork partially back in place. Told us repair crew would fix the problem on Friday. No one showed up to repair ductwork. Unit would only cool to 75-76 degrees. Never received follow up call from rental company. Unit does not have wifi.
Property Manager Response: Response from Seashore Vacations Inc Thank you for your time and comments. We apologize for any inconvenience that occurred during your stay. Outdoor shower(s) at Beachwalk are not maintained or owned by the unit owners, but by the complex. Sadly, we can report the issue, but are not responsible for the fix. Seashore Vacations will gladly supply light bulbs and small convenience items, when outages or such needs occu rwhen we are notified of such issues. During your stay Hilton Head was under the hottest week so far of the season, and our air conditioning contractors were a bit overloaded. We hope that 75-76 degrees was tolerable, and we have worked since your stay to resolve the issues. We hope that you will return to Hilton Head and potentially give Beachwalk 122 a try. Have a great summer.
Teresa P. from Hendersonville, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2014 this was a lovely home. the king size bed is great. the smaller beds in 2nd bedroom were ok...sure they would be fine for kids. the unit was perfect location!! short walk to beach, which was just what we wanted.
A guest from Holland, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in May, 2014 We love the property at 122 Beachwalk - Really enjoy having all the rooms on one floor. The location is the best spot - walking distance to the beach. The bike paths in Shipyard are lovely and the golf courses are terrific. We have been coming to Hilton Head Island for 10 years now and each year we love it more
John W. from St.CatherinesOntario, CN recommends this property. Stayed for 30 days in March, 2014 Large space for the two of us. Convenient location to the beach. There are many prettier sites in Shipyard if that matters to you. Sofas becoming a little uncomfortable for sitting - especially if you are shorter - hard not to slouch. A few minor repairs necessary.
Property Manager Response: Response from Seashore Vacations Inc Hello John, Thank you for your comments regarding #122. The owner has just been in town and ordered a new sofa/loveseat for the living room and new carpet for the bedrooms. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciate your business. Regards, Alison Seashore Vacations
Brian E. from Mississauga, ONTARIO recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2013 Everything perfect but could use an update to the deck furniture, presently a mixture of cheap uncomfortable plastic chairs, only one full size adult chair. Everything else perfect.
John W. from St.CatherinesOntario, CN recommends this property. Stayed for 29 days in March, 2013 Love the place - been here twice before and will likely try to get the same place next year. One thought though is that the sofa furniture is becoming a little uncomfortable with upholstery and pillows becoming mis-shapen. We felt sitting at the ends of the sofa they were sagging toward the middle - minor point really.
Charles J. from Ironton, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 Beachwalk 122 is an ideal island residence. The property is located near Coligny Village and the public beaches. Seashore Vacations personnel are always cooperative and ready to assist with making your stay on the island a pleasant experience. I have called on Seashore for business and family trips to South Carolina since 2000. Seashore Vacations is an excellent organization with many viable properties available year round. I appreciate my association with this fine company.
Gary P. from Matthews, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2012 We were moved to 122 Beachwalk from our unit in Waterside that was noisy due to close-by construction activity. We really enjoyed our three days at Beachwalk. The unit was in a good location.
Pierre D. from Granby, Quebec, CN recommends this property. Stayed for 12 days in December, 2011 except for the big inconvenience of not having internet wired in the condo as announced and having asked clearely,(we had exams to prepare and to tranfer as teachers) hte modalities were perfect and realy convenient, Hope to be back next year in the same condo
Susan T. from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2011 We enjoy staying at Beachwalk for its convenient location to the beach. Our unit is always clean and has a nice newer kitchen. The unit's interior is showing some wear around the edges which require attention. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. We enjoy HHI immensely and look forward to vacationing there again next year.
A guest from Bluefield, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2011 Everyone at Seashore Vacation was great to work with! Love this unit. Came over to Seashore Vacation after a bad experience (another company) two years ago. Buddy was kind enough to meet me and my family on a Sunday morning at this property. Because of that and the office staff I will continue to do business with Seashore Vacation.
Ken K. from Devon, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2011 This was our second stay at 122 Beachwalk and we enjoyed it even more since we were familiar with the location of area services, where to eat, etc. Other than a few very minor maintenance issues, the unit is one I would highly recommend for those who are interested in being very near the beach. It's particularly suited to guests with small children as it's on the ground level and is usually graced with small children above you in unit 123 ;-)While it lacks any appreciable view, it has a nice (though a bit dirty) deck. It would also be nice to have a gas grill available for outdoor use.
