Wonderful Ski Vacation! A guest from Mapleton, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2013 The rental experience went smoothly. Overall, the property was clean, but the ceiling fan and vents were in need of a dusting or vacuuming, and the drain in the tub could not be closed or fully opened for that matter. However, the comfort of the bed was amazing which made it easy to live with the other inconveniences for the week! As for the parking garage, that was another story entirely. The underground parking was not well ventilated and the exhaust fumes were heavy at times. It was also extremely dirty and muddy. The cars quickly became covered in a heavy layer of dirt. This is one area of the property that could definitely be improved with some maintenance. Property Manager Response: Response from Winter Park Management LLC Thanks for taking your time to write us. We appreciate your feedback - the good as well as the bad:)Comments like these make us a better business provider. The ceiling fan and vents are on the list to get cleaned when we get in to do our next deep clean of the condo. In regards to the drain (closure mechanism) I will send maintenance in to take a look at it right away.Your comment on the underground parking is something that I was completely un-aware off. We have had comments in regards to guests having a hard time finding a parking spot close / convenient located to the elevator, but I have not had any guests in the past telling me that the underground parking was not well ventilated, had heavy exhaust fumes, dirty and muddy ...and that vehicles parking there becomes heavily covered in layers of dirt. I have not experienced this with any of our vehicles when we park there, but maybe it could be that some part of the parking garage had a non-working / functional vent at the time you were there.I will make sure that your comments gets forwarded to our HOA and all Zephyr Mountain Lodge board members as this is something that they need to address. A pair of scissors in the kitchen would have been useful.View of the mountain was great, especially when I had a non-ski day.The condo is at the far end of the corridor from the elevator, so is quiet, but be prepared at the end of the day for an extra walk. The good side to that is you don't get the noise from all the comings and goings of the elevator. |

It was great, however there are some things that you should take note of: (1)There is a louver missing on the blinds on the door to the patio, (2) The chinese checker game had so many pieces missing that it was unusable, (3) we had no hot water on Saturday afternoon. My son absolutely loved that it had an Xbox and games to play when we were just hanging in the condo. Everything was very clean and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. The only down side was the early morning noise from outside. We loved our view which was of the village and Zephyr lift, but there was a skiing competition going on and it was quite noisy outside in the early mornings. On the plus side, we were very far from the elevator so we had no noise from the hallway traffic at all. We would definitely stay there again. |

Stayed for 2 days in January, 2012 Loved the condo, very comfortable and close to everything.A knock on the Zephyr lodge management though - they are very rigid with a 10AM checkout. I would think when you're paying 5 star prices, you could stay a little later. There is a huge logjam at the elevators of people trying to get their bags out and cars loaded. The front desk folks told me they have to turn over rooms to get ready for the next group checking in, but I watched the staff hurrying around (they were excellent) and there were still people cleaning at 7pm each night. Seems like their issue isn't that they need people to get out earlier, they need to hire more folks to help with turning over the rooms. |

Spring Break 2011 at ZML 2301 A guest from La Crosse, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2011 We had the pleasure of staying at Zephyr Mountain Lodge - Riverside for spring break and had an excellent time. The condo overlooked the slopes and we spent many afternoons sitting in the sun on our baclony. Right below us was the Bouncer mini-terrain park where my boys spent hours. It was very nice to be able to supervise them from the comfort of our condo. The Xbox was another bonus for the kids. We loved the convenience of having a ski locker. Watching all the people lug their gear made us extremely happy about the convenience of the locker. My only complaint would be that the groomers can disrupt light sleepers. We had to utilize the fan for white noise. I would stay again and use Winter Park Management as a rental agent. Thanks for a great vacation! |
