When you read the brochures it says that Tidewater Beach Resort is a place where time stands still, as emerald waters melt into dazzling white sand beaches. But that doesn?t do it justice. Think of it this way. It?s got a beach that?s over a football field wide. It?s got pools all over the place. Tidewater Beach is a family playground that?s just simply the best. It?s a place for picnics, cool ocean breezes, suntans, surfing, long walks, surf fishing, crabbing, volleyball, countless hours of summertime fun, sunrises, sunsets and shimmering stars.
Here?s the scoop on the condo.
First of all, let me tell you that this is the best location! It's right across from the elevator. That means you're not lugging stuff up and down hallways. You get off the elevator, walk two steps, unlock the door and you're in! Man that's easy when you've got an armful of beach toys, suit cases and groceries.
Then step inside and you see that this place is BIG! There are 2 bedrooms and a bunk area with and 3 full bathrooms. That's right. Three bathrooms.
The Living Room's got an incredible view of the beach from inside or outside on the balcony. But that's not all. The 46' flat panel big screen will blow you away. It's got cable with all the channels and a DVD! Not only that the wireless internet hums right along at lightening fast speeds. So you can check your email in no time so that you can head to the beach.
The MAIN MASTER BEDROOM features a king sized bed and a private bath. This bedroom features a 29? TV. It?s awesome!
The SECOND BEDROOM also has a queen sized bed and a private bath also. Come on in from the beach and it will welcome you to lie back and relax.
The BUNK AREA is perfect for the kids. They can kick back too!
This residence has washer and dryer for your convenience.
The GOURMET KITCHEN is fully-equipped and looks right out through the family room to the sugary white sands and emerald-blue waters of the Gulf coast. Our dining table seats 4 and we have seating at the bar for 3 more, so there's plenty of space for a group your size.

Kathy H. from Madison, AL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2014 The vacation itself, the beach and weather was perfect. However, the condo was a disappointment. It had just the right amount of space for us and would have been great if it had been cleaned better and the furniture had been in a better shape. There was mold where the ice comes out (especially the tray), hair in the refrigerator, sand on counters and dining chairs, dust everywhere, streaked mirrors, carpet was nasty, mold along shower door. I noticed the air return on the door in the hall was very dirty, so I opened it and there was enough lint, etc to stuff a small pillow hanging from the inside of the door. Needless to say, I spent about 3 hours cleaning the condo before I felt remotely able to stay. The carpet just had to stay dirty. I will say the management company did offer to send someone to clean the carpet, but that would have meant we would not have been able to have access for several hours. Each time I tried to call the management company, I would get cut off due to bad reception. Also, we could not access the wifi that we thought was available. Now the furnishings.....very uncomfortable beds, couch needed to be tossed, coffee table was so wobbly we moved it to a corner while we were there (we moved it back before leaving). We only had 1 lamp that worked. I'm sure the lamps only needed bulbs, but we had already made our run to Wal-Mart and did not want to spend more time at a store and not on the beach. I'm sorry this has been so negative, because I do try to look at things through a glass half full. However, I felt these were things you needed to know to better serve your customers, as well as the owners.
Stephanie G. from Woodstock, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2014 Upon checking in to our rental, only one key card worked. I made a call to the management company to address this and asked for a replacement since we had 6 people staying in the rental for the week. I was told it would be taken care of, but it wasn't. I also sent an email to the management company two days later requesting a replacement key, as well as a dust pan (the was no dust pan or vacuum cleaner to clean up sand on the floor). I received no reply, phone call, or visit from the maintenance person. All three toilets were moldy around the water ring, there was sand on the couch, chair and the top bunk bed. I also disclosed this in the email sent to the management company.Overall, I think the property was not cleaned prior to our check in. This, of course, did not hinder our vacation as we had a good time at the beach and enjoyed the property as a whole; however, I believe in great first impressions and this rental was not that at all due to the uncleanliness, lack of broom/dust pan or a vacuum, as well as the poor management experience. We will stay at Tidewater in the future, but not in 1711.

Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 I had previously stayed at Tidewater and absolutely loved the complex and all it has to offer. however this year we did not rent from the owner but thru an agency . This was a different experience and would not recommend it. The housekeeping was horrible, furniture dirty, carpet stained and smelled, wifi was horrible which made no phone service . We didn't get the second key requested for convience of coming and going of multiple guests. I will stay at Tidewater again, but back to the previous owners condo not this one or this service.

Stayed for 7 days in May, 2014 After arriving at our original condo, only to find water running down the wall and in the floor, we had to be relocated to this rental which had a much different, and less affective, layout for our needs. The beds were loud, squeaky and very uncomfortable, the furniture old and haggard, there was no dust pan to sweep up the sand so we used a paper plate, the oven was very slow to heat up, the microwave made a scary, loud noise, etc.... Overal experience was negative. I very rarely ever complain about any vacation/getaway but this was not a positive adventure. The rental company had to have known about the water leak in the unit I initially rented and could have made other arrangements for us prior to our arrival, unloading, and then finding the water in the floor and running down the wall. It would have saved a lot of time and heartache for me and my family. Please, please know that I am not a complainer but this warranted letting you know about our unpleasant stay. We actually left a day early because of it. On another note, there are too many cabanas on the beach. It takes away from the view and experience....Sincerely,Nancy

I have visited Panama City Beach twice yearly for 15 years, and this was one of the nicer condos we have stayed in. The only drawback was it had the most uncomfortable beds that We've ever slept on. Like sleeping on plywood. Everything else, superb.

A guest from Columbia, TN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2013 Checked in to find that the ad that I had responded to was deceptive. It said there was a large bath with garden tub and shower. I have stayed here before and know about the nice floor plan of those type units. This was not one of those units. It did not have the large bath with garden tub and shower. 3 ceiling lights did not gave bulbs, few bath cloths, cheap plastic patio furniture, nowhere for clothes to be stored in bunk room and no door for it. The cookware was awful. The coating on the skillets was all warn and flacking off into the food. Only 5 forks and 6 glasses. After seeing a bug in the pantry I called about the problems, they brought the clothes, bulbs, and kitchen items on Wednesday. We were there from Sun. to Sun. Upon leaving I stripped the beds as advised. There was a big yellow spot on the mattress pad and on the side of the mattress was a very disgusting spot of a dark color. About the advertising, they said they changed it in their ad after I called them and offered me a refund of the cleaning fee. Which I have not received. We were really looking forward to the larger floor plan and the large bath. I told them that my family and my family's vacation was worth more than $140.00 to me. Because of their deceptive advertising I took a room that was not what we wanted. Not only did the ad tell of the other floor plan, there were no pictures of the bathrooms in the listing. Now what would you think??!! I will never use this company again! Who knows, maybe I need to call the BBB. There were 4 couples there with us in other units. They rented from individuals through VRBO and got exactly what they expected. I have never complained before but this was a mess for us all the way around.

We were stuck on the balcony a few times because we could not open the door. When we talked to management to at least ask for some of our money back he would not here of it. I would never suggest this property.

Stayed for 5 days in June, 2013 we checked in after hours so the keys were in a lock box, but the unit was not as expected or as nice as some that i have stayed in before, the furnishings were somewhat run-down, especially the living room sofa, and the extra bedding for the sofa sleeper looked like it had been dragged on the beach,(the blanket) there were no extra pillows for the bunk beds, the blenders top was missing, and the cooking skillets were all scratched up, we paid a damage waiver of $134, in case we break a glass.we checked out a day early, there wasn't anyone at the desk to check-out with because they said we rented through the owners, so we didn't know what to do with the keys,and we left a day early, so they charged for the keys, although i told them i was mailing them back, that could have been covered with part of the damage waiver money.the best part of the stay was the view from the balcony.
A guest from Enterprise, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2012 The location was perfect and the property was nicely furnished. There were a couple of small irritating things....three bathrooms and they provide only part of a roll of tissue for each bathroom. The cost of beach chair rentals was $40.00 a day and the "chair manager" collected the mats on the chairs at 4:00 pm. I was told that I would be contacted by 4:00 pm with the key lock box and I did have to call several times to get the information to unlock the door.
Want to wake up with a backache, this condo is for you!
Gina E. from Richmond, KY does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 The resort and view was awesome. However this condo had issues! Mattress in master bedroom was old, hard, and stained (this was not a preference but a fact) with an egg crate pad to try and make it softer with the bed creeking everytime a movement was made. The other bedroom mattress was the same. Dresser drawers fell out when opened and coffee table was wobbley. I don't expect top of the line mattresses but I do expect when paying $1500 for a week to have mattresses and furniture at least as good as I have at home. One person I spoke with was pleasant when I called about the issues, however I did have to call back since nothing was resolved and did not get a very helpful or understanding person to talk to. Customer service was supposed to have called me within 24-48 hours, no calls received as this post. We paid a lot of money to stay here and none of the problems were resolved. I would not stay in this particular condo or book with this management company again. I would stay in Tidewater Resort in a different condo.
Cameron C. from Eustace, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2010 There was no parking for my Van and I wasn't advised, this took alot of time and was very consuming. I had to pay an large amount to park somewhere else. The management didn't help. The security agent at the door wouldn't allow me to pull up and unload or load luggage with small children, however I watched him allow five other cars-do it with girls in the car. When ak why -he laughed and said I can't catch them all-their were 5 cars doing it. I was told the room had bunk beds as described on-line, however when I got there they wasn't in the room. The elevators were unbelievably slow. The security gaurd mad my kids leave in the middle of a game. Come on- most people say last one when finished please leave.
Steve L. from Chicesha, OK recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2010 Tidewater resort is a great place. This unit is well decorated and clean. It is right on the beach. Chair rentals, parasailing and jet skis are on the property. I prefer a floor lower than this 17th floor unit. but I knew that when I rented. I will be back (hopefully on a lower floor)
