Moore/Driver vacation Pat M. from Pinsin, AL recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in August, 2014 The kitchen was not fully equipped. only 1 small frying pan, not enough eating utensils. also, could not find a blanket for the sofa bed. plenty of sheets, just no blankets. I was told to call to ask if we could check out a little later, but when I called the office was closed (Labor Day). I called the emergency number (Operations Manager) and left a message and he/she never returned my call. very unprofessional! 10:00 is too early to have to check out.
Fun but not clean A guest from St. Loius, MO recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 We had to clean the toilets when we got there. When we stay on the beach we do not expect perfection but this was gross. The property was very acceptable.
I do not recommend this property, I was deceived. A guest from Ackworth, Georgia recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 I rented this property from July 19th through July 26th.I found this condo on line, after I had paid my deposit. I 3was concerned about the cleanliness. There were several bad reviews. I called and spoke with one of the women who handles this property. She said, I won't lie to you we have had problems in the past, but we have a new cleaning service and they do a good job. When we arrived on Sat. We had to wait in line to get on the elevator, there are only 2. When we got to our condo I could not believe how dirty it was. The living room has a table, there was food and hand prints on it, food on the floors. All counters were dirty, the stove had dried crusted something on it. The microwave had dried food in it.The bathroom sinks and bathtub were not clean, there is mold on the shower curtain. The floors had be en moped with a dirty mop. The floor was sticky a d sandy.I paid 110.00 cleaning fee, I asume the people before me did also. I had to buy a mop and do my own cleaning.I called the office and told them all of this. I was told they would get back with me the next day. They did not, and they won't. I would never stay there again.
It was ok, would not stay hat splash again. A guest from Gonzales, LA does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 We got to the room and there was a large piece of glass on the coffee table that was broken with large glass fragments everywhere. I went down to the desk to tell them about it so I could get someone to remove it because I have a 3 year old and I didn't want him to get hurt. The lady told me I had to let the company I rented the room from know about it so I wouldn't be charged for it. I explained that I was more worried about my kid getting hurt than I was about getting charged and we went back to the room. No one ever came to even see what I was talking about, so eventually I removed the glass top and put it in the closet. The elevators were terrible!!!! Saturdays and Sundays we used the stairs and we were on the 11th floor! First you had to wait 10 minutes before the first elevator would come to you, then when it did it was packed full of peaple, and we were on the 11th floor! One of the times we had a bunch of stuff with us because we were trying to go to the beach and 5 full elevators passed us before we finally got one we could barely fit on. We waited like 45 minutes at check in time because there was a line backed up waiting to go up in the elevators. It was a little better during the week but still had to wait during peak times, such as lunch and dinner times. Also the master bedroom in this unit had no curtain on the window so we were awake everyday with the sun. No chance of sleeping in here. Most of the pools were freezing cold because they are covered, they are supposed to be heated but my teeth were chattering while I was trying to swim with my son.
excellent location; some improvements needed A guest from Gardendale, AL recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in June, 2014 The condo is well-located on the 11th floor, which is also one of the problems --- elevators are slow and not cleaned frequently. It was relatively clean when we arrived, but the furniture needs new upholstery as one of the chairs is badly stained, we covered it with a throw that we had brought in order to feel comfortable sitting in it. They need to replace the one skillet in the kitchen -- the non-stick coating is coming off and we could not use it. Other than that, we enjoyed our vacation at Splash, which is a family condo with many children in the pools and water park. We were promptly furnished with the extra sheets that we required and check-in and check-out was easy through our rental company, Best Beach Getaways.
Stay At Splash!!! A guest from Riverton, IL recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in April, 2014 Had a great time. The kids really enjoyed the resort. The place was clean and the view was awesome. Would stay there again.
Splash is Great - Best Beach Getaways, not so much A guest from Cain Ridge, TN does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 7 days in March, 2014 Splash is a great place to take kids, unfortunately this unit was not in good repair. The fridge was broken upon arrival, air vents were dusty, it was not stocked appropriately with cooking utensils, the shower curtain was missing half of its rings and so the fix was just to turn it back on itself. I would definitely choose Splash again but would look for an individual to rent from over using Best Beach Getaways.
Condo description is incorrect !! A guest from wildwood, MO does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 7 days in June, 2013 The description of this condo online is WRONG! Did not have two sets of sliding doors leading to deck. Master bedroom was in back of condo -- even called mgmt to verify this before booking and they confirmed that master bedroom would be facing water. Wouldn't have booked this unit. And it still has not been corrected online as of 7/2/13!! Not enough elevators or luggage carts. 45 min waiting to get a cart and 1 hr in line to get on elevator. Ridiculous. Also, with a King bed and bunks in hallway, and two baths, this unit should hold four people. There were no drawers for clothes!! Had to put children's clothes on bathroom shelves and master had limited space in a tv cabinet.
My Daughter LOVED it!! A guest from Jacksonville, AL recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in June, 2013 Splash was a great place to stay with our 5 year old daughter. She loved the splash park and play area. The lazy river was a hit too. The only thing that I didn't care for is that it is totally under both buildings. Great for the kids that stay out all day long...not so great for the parents that watch their children play. The chairs are very limited and if you do get one they are in the shade until well into the day. Like I have said my daughter loved it so it was well worth staying there BUT I will probably not go back due to the fact that if you are at the pool/splash area there is very little sun.
this unit nees a makeover and good cleaning...quite disappointed Shondra K. from CUMMING, GA recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in November, 2012 splash is a fun place with kids...we had group of twenty in all..property needs a cleanup...and someone needs to let security know that kids are there to play!
Nice trip, but will NOT return to Splash A guest from Bella Vista, AR does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 7 days in October, 2012 Best Beach Getaways was great, reservations, check in-out was very easy. The condo was what they said it was. However, SPLASH was the worst condo I've ever stayed at. I've been going to Panama City Beach my whole life & this was the worst condo. There was trash EVERYWHERE!!! In the pools & even more on the Beach. The hot tub was always Yellow-Brown & looked very un-clean. The elevators were always out of order. We had to wait 30 minutes just to get to our floor. The only complaint I have with our room was that there was not any bedding for the sleeper sofa. We had to go buy blankets for it. Overall our trip was good, but we will not return to Splash.
Not the best, not the worst A guest from Leesburg, GA does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 5 days in August, 2012 Dirty/dusty under furniture. Poor excuse for a mop (which i had to use along w/ the vacuum to clean b/c i didn't want anybody to think that I made that mess). Very few kitchen ware items, and the ones that were there were old or broken. No extra sheets. Just really nothing special overall. Tried to make the best of my only summer family vacation though, although, the property was disappointing.
Splash Review Melissa W. from Toney, AL recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in September, 2010 Our stay was great! It would have been helpful to have one extra roll of toilet tissue in the bathrooms, but that's about it. The chairs on the balcony were not that clean, but no big deal, we just cleaned them off. Otherwise, we had a great stay and loved the splash resort! The unit was clean and very nice. Thanks so much!
Not A Trundle A guest from Riverdale, GA recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in July, 2010 I enjoyed the amenities the resort offered. The general cleanliness of our room was disappointing. There were not enough linens to make the sofa bed. There was no trundle under the bunk bed which was the only reason I choose this unit.
spring break 4/3-4/10 A guest from Roswell, GA recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in April, 2010 Had a great time! Read reviews about the property regarding the wait time for elevators - we had no problems at all. The wait was under five minutes during high volume times (check in and lunchtime). The unit was pretty clean. The carpet needed to be cleaned. The kitchen was stocked with kitchen utensils we needed to eat in all week. We were able to check in early. The early check in really helped since we have three children. The only problem we experienced was entering the unit. The battery in the door lock had to be replaced causing us to wait outside the unit for about an hour. The description of the room was not correct. The description labeled the room as having a balcony from the master. The master viewed inland. The description also stated there was a trundle under the bottom bunk. There was storage instead. We were charged a cleaning fee for a two bedroom but only rented a one bedroom. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.
