Excellent location for our January vacation A guest from CALGARY, AB recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2013 After a recommendation from a friend to stay in La Jolla we looked at a variety of rental properties for our family of four. We liked the location of this one and it did not disappoint. The view from the balcony was beautiful. I have 2 children, 11 and 9 and they loved searching in the tidal pools. We walked along the beach most days (just watch the tide if you go south). The apartment has a very modern kitchen and a washer dryer which was a big bonus. The bed in the main bedroom was firm and comfortable which isn't always the case in rental properties. I couldn't find a hair dryer but didn't contact the property co to check if there was one. It is an apartment so there was slight noise from neighbours above but nothing obtrusive. We walked to a number of restaurants in the town. Try the Karl Strauss Brewery and Restaurant. Yummy. We also visited Sea World, Safari Park and Legoland during our stay. |

Easy walk to children's beach for toddler. Great people watching. We have one gluten free family member and had no problem eating out. Not to miss El Pescador fish market, burgers at Burger Lounge. Spend the day at La Jolla Shores beach with bucket, shovel and your imagination. |

Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 The carpet in the living room was very dirty and full of tiny little plastic pieces that are found on price tags when you buy clothing. There seemed to be a hundred of them. I know this because my 8 month old twin grandson's seemed to find most of them! They also had black knees and feet after playing on the floor. The combo washer/dryer is not practical at all. It takes forever to do a load of laundry! |

Stayed for 6 days in June, 2012 Can't beat the location but nothing else was above average. Twin beds were hard and uncomfortable, pillows were bad, furniture was old, apt was unattractive, bathtub drain was clogged, kitchen lacked some basic equipment, 3 beach chairs for 4 ppl; felt like a motel with upgraded bathrooms/ kitchen on a beautiful beach. Owners need to address fundamentals. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 Condo is in great location, see and hear surf from living room, can walk along beach, see seals and animals. 5th sleeper is actually aerobed which was very nice, but from seabreeze site it doesn't tell you that, only if you come through vrbo it lets you know that. Coach is too small and not a sofa sleeper. Also when we booked asked about the discounts they had as wanted to plan ahead,(and they adverstised this as perk) told by one girl, other one would email me info with our contract, didn't receive, asked again, told it would be in unit in a folder when we arrived. Still nothing, only a few brochures that looked like others had left and it was mostly San Diego things to do, nothing on local Lajolla, so requested it once again from them as well as would of liked recommendations on local restaurants. Advised ops manager would drop info by, he never did. just missing those touches we have I guess when you deal with owner direct, helpful hints on area and things to do right there. A map of area would of been nice, never been there before, heard of village but still had no idea where it was in relation to the condo unit. Property Manager Response: Response from Seabreeze Vacation Rentals, LLC We have created a brand new guidebook for all of our guests detailing the area and all of the local attractions. In addition, this guidebook comes with a discount card for local restaurants which we recommend. We are looking into why this guest did not receive these and will make sure that all future guests receive these in an effort to enhance their vacation experience. |

Stayed for 5 days in March, 2012 As we expected from the pictures, this unit is located just across a narrow one-way street from the ocean, and we were delighted to watch birds, dolphins and/or surfers every day from our water-facing living room windows and balcony. The location also allowed us to take daily walks along a grassy park bordering the beach in the warmth and light of the La Jolla "winter". And the cloud formations and resultant sunsets were spectacular. I can't imagine a more beautiful location in La Jolla. The condo itself had been recently remodeled: the kitchen and bathrooms were modern and beautiful, with granite counter tops, high-quality cabinets and new appliances. The provided dishes and cookware were more than adequate for daily meal preparation, and I even baked dessert a couple of times during our stay. The living room furniture is modern Danish leather and teak, clean and very comfortable, and the TV and DVD/CD players worked flawlessly. Our stay in this unit was so pleasant and relaxing that we are reserving the same condo for another vacation next year and we can hardly wait! |

#201 La Jolla village condo A guest from Ann Arbor, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2011 The location is great, just across the street from the ocean and walking distance from the village of La Jolla. The condo has a recently remodeled kitchen and baths, but the carpet in the condo is extremely old, dirty and smelly. It gave the whole condo a dusty, smelly feet or cat pee smell. The kitchen was needlessly deluxe and it seems the money would have been better spent on replacing the ancient carpeting. The rooms were dark and insufficiently lit with dingy dusty old mini blinds on the windows (2 small reading lamps in the master) which were annoying but not a huge problem. Other than being disappointed with the general dinginess of the place, it was very well located with convenient parking and we had a great time. |

We were steps from the beach and saw every sunset from the balcony - kids loved that! New kitchen and bathrooms were nice, as well as having all-in-one washer/dryer and wifi. Only down side is that this place is best for 4 or fewer people/adults. States sleeps 5, but couch is too small. Can walk to the Village, Seal Beach, community park/playground and parking is included! Permanent tenants are also nice. |
