This Pacific Beach vacation rental house is located just a few blocks from the famous Tourmaline beach in North Pacific Beach and is a quick walk from the front door down to the sand!
It has hardwood floors, a king bed in the master and a queen bed in the second bedroom, a brand new completely remodeled fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms (one is a half bath), dining room, and a living room with a full entertainment center, and a sleeper sofa for additional guests. In addition, high speed WIFI is also available throughout the house.
This pet friendly rental home also has a private fenced in grassy and tropically landscaped front yard as well as a back yard with bbq and outdoor seating for six to relax after a long day at the beach.
Just a 5 minute drive to all of the famous shops and restaurants of La Jolla or Pacific Beach. Okay house but wouldn't stay again Kasey E. from Houston, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2013 The location of this home is the best attribute. Also the beds were comfortable. There is no privacy on the back porch. The front is a bit more private, but it's on the street. The shower wasn't very good - sprayed everywhere. It got cold while we were there and had to turn on the heat. The grate in the floor got so hot that my son burned his foot just from stepping on it, and the shoes that were nearby melted. There are too many choices in the area to stay at this house again. |

The kitchen is not "fully remodeled" It has new cabinets and countertops. I expected a dishwasher al least. The floor was quite dirty, we made the kids wear shoes in the house. We had chosen the property because of location, which was good, and for the yard for our dog. The fence was broken and our dog could easily escape. It was fixed but not for 2 days. The shower curtain had mold growing on it, and the shower head was a joke. We ended up leaving 2 days early. |

The trees in the front yard gave us plenty of privacy while still allowing our dog to see enough of the action. We travelled with a 14 month old baby, so the house offers enough space which were clean and very good stuffed. We had only some points, which were maybe not completly negativ, but I think the give space for improvement:- the king bed was very loud, means each move causes a little noise from the mattress.- sometimes we've seen some cockroaches, what maybe normal in this climate, but it is not nice- the hirer askes us to show the house another interested person while our stay (and did it, although we said, that we are not very pleased)- we've asked about a sun umbrella and a high chair and the offer for both was 50 Dollars. I think, that's ridiculous (new ones costs about 20 bucks) |

We love this area, and the house was in a great location within walking distance to beach, shops, and restaurants. The house was very clean, but needs a new refrigerator. Also, there is no dishwasher. We liked the privacy of enclosed front yard and back patio. The tropical plants are beautiful. Occasionally, we did hear some late night partygoers walking the street, but the house is in a nice residential neighborhood. The four of us were very comfortable at this cute place. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2012 On our last day someone came to ask questions about the house because it was going to be auctioned the next day through forclosure. They told us to expect more people comming to our door to ask questions. We posted a note asking us not to be disturbed and put the contact number of the VRBO agent on the note as a contact.I question the ethics involved with a property being rented when an owner is no longer paying the bank for the mortgage. There should be better knowledge of the property regarding ownership and standing before they are offered for rent. Questions to be resolved are; 1) If the rental is no longer owned or managed by VRBO, does this mean I will get all of my payment for cleaning back? 2) Since the property was sold "as is"; will there be any delay getting back my damage deposit?Up untile the "knock on the door", things had gone fairly well. (Except for the gas BBQ that had not had the "fat trap" cleaned and only two of the three burners working. Property Manager Response: Response from Seabreeze Vacation Rentals, LLC We have no idea who came to the door or why they told these guests that the house was going to be sold, but this information is completely false. This house was NOT sold at auction and is not going to be. In fact, the owner just recently invested over $15,000 in a new kitchen and bathroom for this house and has no plans to sell. This was the mistake of an ill informed realtor who was inconsiderate enough to bother one of our guests while on vacation. We apologize for this indiviuals actions. |

Not Worth The Money A guest from Scottsdale, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2012 For $300 a night in June you'd expect more than. Heap furniture, uncomfortable beds and no premium TV channels. Property management company was atrocious. Only gave us the lock bode to the door 45 minutes after checking time following multiple phone calls. We had one issue, left a message, nobody ever called us back. In fact, we just had guests check out that rented this home for 6 months and loved the mattresses. We are very sorry that this guest was not pleased with this house, but his experience is definitely not representative of that of all of our other guests that have stayed here. We are always working to improve our guest experience and will look into this guests complaints to try to improve our service. |

Stayed for 7 days in August, 2011 Loved the location as it is only a few blocks from the beach and surrounded by great restaurants, bars, cafes, coffee shops. Even though the listing is Pacific Beach, its closer to La Jolla/Wind and Sea. The neighborhood is quiet, and the beach is uncrowded and more surfer and family friendly. The house itself was great. Nice and clean, warm working fireplace, parking for at least 2 cars. Cable tv and internet worked great, although most of my time was spent doing other things. The beds were comfortable, especially the new king bed in the master bedroom. One of the greatest parts of the house was the back patio. There's a grill and outdoor dining/seating for 6. It was a wonderful spot to hang out, grill, and spend time with friends. Management was professional, friendly, and very responsive to the few minor requests during my stay. I visit San Diego often, and will definitely stay here again. |

And we plan to keep coming back. Great location! Borders La Jolla, and is centrally located to everything San Diego has to offer. Quick and easy walk to ocean. Grocery store, gas, just around the corner. Close to super Pacific Beach restaurants and shops. Very comfortable accommodations, nice backyard for barbecues and entertaining, as well as being very Pet Friendly. The two bedroom home is clean, comfortable and well supplied with all the linens, bedding, towels, etc you will need for an extended stay, and the kitchen is very user friendly. We've had a great time very year here. We would highly recommend. |

Would not recommend to someone at this time...has potential to be better. A guest from Woodland, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 8 days in March, 2011 We received a promotional rate for renting in the month of March ($800/wk). The house was acceptable at that rate. I would not pay more or the "normal seasonal rate" unless improvements had been made, for a few reasons. I would not consider the to be "fully stocked" as advertised. There were no kitchen towels, oven mitts, baking sheets, cleaning products just to name a few items we were in need of. Also upon arrival the dryer was full of white towels which was not an issue. The issue was that a majority of the recently cleaned white towels were stained. Clean but stained. Does not make you feel very clean using others stained towels. This place has potential. We were happy with the location, the front yard, back patio. I think investment needs to be made in new bath and kitchen linens, clothing hangers (only 3-4 between two closets) and restocking the kitchen. |

Less than great. A guest from Montague, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in February, 2011 I would recommend this location with reservations. The location was great, only 3 blocks from the ocean, but one of the blocks was a very steep hill up from the beach. OK for us but would be tough for kids or anyone not used to walking. A grocery store is within 2 blocks. The house itself was just OK. I expected an older home but the kitchen counter tiles were in very poor shape. There were numerous cracked tiles and due to the cracks the counter looked dirty and was very hard to clean. There were no dish or hand towels in the kitchen only paper towels. The floors looked clean but when I wiped up some crumbs with a paper towel the first night we were there the towel was filthy. I refused to walk barefoot in the house because the floors were so dirty. The bathroom has new tile but whoever did the tile work forgot to finish the grout work behind the door. The cold water knob in the shower has a Buddhist out look on life, to turn it off you needed to find the "middle way". Generally one turns a faucet to the right to turn it on and to the left to turn it off. You could turn this faucet on either way but turning it off was a challenge. The back patio/courtyard was great as was the BBQ and washer and dryer. The owners need to do a bit more work on the house to make it a really special place. |
