A guest from Sacramento, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 We're a family of 4 - ages 12, 14, 47 and 52 - we came in for a getaway from Sacramento. The booking was easy and straightforward, this location was perfect for us, and the home was a great set up for 2 kids and 2 adults. It is close to everything, easy to maintain and had all the stuff we needed for cooking in, beach fun, and checking out the nearby beaches and higher end retail, food and entertainment. The app they sent us to download was very helpful as well. Excellent. Excellent.
A guest from Mexio DF, x recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 Wow! What an awesome house?it was a complete tropical paradise just as the name states. We were blown away at the beautiful tropical landscaping as we walked up to the home. From top to bottom, the house was extremely clean and had a modern, yet tropical feel inside. The rooms and living spaces were very comfortable and it was the perfect size for us. We had the opportunity to use the fully equipped kitchen to make family meal?it made us feel like we were at home. We LOVED lounging in the backyard and relaxing in the hammock. One of our favorite features was the fact that we were just a few minute walk to the beach. We were able to walk back and forth multiple times each day. We are thankful for the easy and painless process through SeaBreeze and we cannot wait to use them again!
A guest from Scottsdale, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in June, 2014 Great little house close to Windansea beach. We chose to stay in La Jolla in hopes of a quieter less touristy alternative tp Mission and Pacific beach and that's exactly what we got. Just a short walk from dinning and beach. Perfect for our small family, got a little tight when the in-laws were there too. It's a small living space, but you're outside most of the time anyway so it was fine. Was woken up a couple of times by the infants living next door, would encourage guests to bring ear plugs.
A guest from Tucson, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2014 My wife and I rented this house for 9 days and had a wonderful time. It's clear they care about their renters. The house is well maintained and stocked with just about all that one could desire. Washing machine and dryer worked well and meant we could pack lighter. The property is beautiful and the location is very 's easy to get to busier tourist areas if one wishes to, but it's also lovely to just hang near the house. The Beach just half a block away is great for beach walks, tide pooling, swimming, and just hanging out. It was a vacation we really enjoyed.
Valerie S. from Mandeville, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2014 We had a great time. Enjoyed the weather. The hot tub was wonderful. Only one problem could never get the bathtub to run hot water. But the shower was great. Hope to stay again someday!
Laurie k. from Galena, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 88 days in January, 2014 This was our second time staying at Nautilus house. We love the location, closeness to beach, shopping, restaurants and having our own private yard for our dog. Tim at Seabreeze, was always available to help us make our stay comfortable and saw to our needs. It has a well equipped kitchen and a new master bathroom, a welcome addition. The only things I would like to see happen is a closet or large armoire for the master bedroom as space is very limited for hang up clothes and a new couch and love seat in the living room as the present one is worn and not very comfortable. I would recommend this place very highly, if you are visiting LaJolla.
A guest from Neptune Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2013 First I would like to say what a cute lil cottage this is with lovely landscaping. We really enjoyed sitting at the fire pit and going into the hot tub. The location is perfect for strolling down to the beach and enjoying the surf and wonderful sunsets. There are many places close by to go grab a bite to eat.The bed was very comfortable. Now that being said, I was a little disapponited with how clean it was ( especially with the cleaning fee you pay). The pots to cook were very stained and unable to be used and the dishwasher was not fully usable.we did call the management about the dishwasher and they responded quickly but were not able to fix it completely. There were cobwebs from the ceiling the floor was dirty , and bug droppings in some of the bathroom drawers. I do hope these things get resolved because the place is adorable.
A guest from Glen Allen, VA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2013 The property is older and has been partially re-done. The lighting is pretty poor, especially in the kitchen and 2nd bath room, so it felt a bit on the dark side (except for the main living room/eating area, which was well lit). The master shower is quite old and water pressure was poor as well as kept losing the hot water. The guest shower (re-done bath) was fine.It is in a nice location 1/2 block from the beach, which is the best part of this rental. We did not use the hot tub - it did not seem very private because there are higher buildings around the house. Parking was street only and was okay in October but might be a problem during prime months.
Reviewed by: David S. recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2013 Vacation was great. Room was not advertised with Jacuzzi, fire place, hammock and front porch gas fire pit. All were pleasant surprises. We had one issue with kitchen sink drainage the 1st night, but Tim came out the next morning when we were out and fixed the issue. We were actually able to use our Safeway card at Von's for discounts outside of using the phone number provided (which was nice) We loved the central location to Torrey Pines, the beach, local eateries, downtown La Jolla, and Mission Beach. We will be back.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2013 We feel so lucky to have found this home and are already planning our next trip back. The location is ideal, just a 2 minute walk down to Windansea Beach and close to some really great local restaurants. Inside, the house is so cute and comfortable. We LOVED the Tempurpedic mattress in the master bedroom and slept better than we have in a long time. The house was very clean upon our arrival and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We spent quite a bit of time on the front deck cooking on the BBQ and enjoying the tropical feel of the yard as well as the firepit table. Also really enjoyed the hot tub after a long day at the beach. This is such a great house and we can't wait to some back. Thanks!
A guest from Altadena, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2013 I would highly recommend this very cute beach house to anyone interested in a quiet, lovely oasis close to Windansea Beach and the Village. The house has a fully equipped kitchen to make your own meals, but also close to some great local restaurants. It is very clean and well stocked with everything to make your stay perfect. It's a home away from home! Looking forward to returning to La Jolla and renting this home again very soon!
A guest from Chicago, IL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 At a half a block from Wind & Sea beach, the location couldn't be better. But the home itself, the furnishings and the amenities did not meet my expectations. From dead flowers in the window box, to blinds that didn't work, towels with rips in them, sofas that have seen better days, dated bedding, and a second bathroom that desperately needs updating - all these little things just made the place feel rundown rather than rustic. I will not go back.
Kaaren S. from San Francisco, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2013 1. Pros. Clean, good beds, comfortable furniture, terrific location, easy on street parking.2. Cons. Very!! Dim lighting. Hot tub next to garbage. Doll house stove.
A guest from Walnut Creek, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 We had a wonderful stay at the Tropical Paradise in La Jolla. The facility was clean and comfortable and the location was wonderful. We loved the restaurants (The Promiscuous Fork) and the proximity to the beach. We were also very pleased with the fact that this was a pet friendly property and was well maintained! The only minor issue we experienced was ants in the kitchen. We did not use the jacuzzi so have no comment on that amenity. Thanks for a wonderful stay and we will definitely rent through you guys again!
Property Manager Response: Response from Seabreeze Vacation Rentals, LLC We were very sorry to hear about the ant issue and had it addressed immediately to insure that no future guests were inconvenienced.
A guest from Galena, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 56 days in February, 2013 We enjoyed our stay very much. The property managers were very attentive to our needs and the location is perfect for us. We travel with our dog and ot was nice because of the enclosed yard. The hot tub was also a nice feature although we did not use it that much. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans etc The neighborhood is very friendly and walking distance to shopping etc. the info on the Internet site was true to form and this will certainly be a place that we would return to.
A guest from Comox, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2012 We really enjoyed staying here. It was very comfortable for my husband and myself and my mother in law. We were delighted to find a king sized bed which is what we are accostomed to. The location was wonderful. We loved going down to beach to watch the surfers. The only thing that was disappointing was the fact that the washer and dryer didn't work and that there was not air conditioning. I think most of the time it is not needed but on that particular week it reached over 100 degrees.
Megan V. from Glendale, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2012 Was a little disappointed with the little things - like shower gel soap was empty in the bathroom, no extra pillows to be found, no knowledge that there was no A/C. Also even though we were quiet after 9 pm, the neighbors were not. Since we had to leave windows open, they kept us up quite late banging around in their kitchen and drinking. Overall, it was a nice stay but the above things were a bit distracting from that.
Craig L. from Peoria, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 This property is misleading. Furniture worn, many electical outlets do not work, toilet leaks water, shower in one bath room poor hot water flow, hot tub next to garbage cans.
Wayne B. from Houston, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 The location is great but issues are:1) old master bath2) no AC (issue when it was hot like this august)3) not as clean as expected when we checked in
Laine O. from Evergreen, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2012 The little house was perfect for what we needed, were in town for work and a wedding. The house wasn't very clean, looked like a very swift minor cleaning, not one intended for new guests. The patio upon entering looked like it hadn't been swept in months, plants were dry and mostly dead, toothpaste on the wall in the bathroom... I swept in and out, watered and deadheaded plants before the rest of our party arrived. 2 arrived 3 days ahead for work. There was only one washcloth and two towels for a week stay? no rug to step out of the shower on? Nothing to wipe the counters or to run a load of dishes? yet you asked that dishes be clean when we vacated, we removed them from the dishwasher and hand washed before we left. Lot's of the dishes have chips and cracks I have rentals in Colorado, maybe it's regional as to what is provided to make a guests stay exceptional? Overall was a great spot but someone needs to pay more attention to detail to provide guests with a better quality stay.
Property Manager Response: Response from Seabreeze Vacation Rentals, LLC Upon receiving this review, we inspected the house and found many more towels and washcloths in a closet that unfortunately, these guests never found. As a result, we have moved these to a more obvious location to insure that future guests can find them when needed. In addition, there were a few dishes which were chipped which have since been removed and replace. We appreciate the feedback from this guest as it provides us the opportunity to improve this property for future guests.
A guest from West Hollywood, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2012 My parents and my husband and I stayed at this cozy home for 10 days and had a wonderful time. The awesome vegetation around the house gives you extra joy including the hammock nestled in them. The house itself is spacious and has all the accommodations you need, just as if you were at home. The remodeled bathroom is a jewel in itself and let's not forget the brand-new hot tub that we enjoyed thoroughly. To top it off, the beach is really only a two-minute walk away, so you can easily take an early morning walk or enjoy the sunset after dinner. Hopefully we will be able to stay there again!
Sue S. from Bicester, Oxfordshire does not recommend this property. Stayed for 14 days in February, 2012 The location was wonderful but the property was a bit tired inside. There was a lack of cutlery and crockery and what plates and cups there was were chipped and cracked. The lack of heating in the bathrooms made them very cold and the towels remained damp. The garden space out front was lovely as was the hot tub.
A guest from South Pasadena, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2012 The house was in great condition in a great location and management was superb. Some of the local restaurants were meh, but the recommendations from management were spot on. Thank you.
Royce B. from Sedona, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2011 My husband, daughter, grandson and I spent Thanksgiving week at this lovely home. We loved having the beach a block away. My sister lives in San Diego so we had Thanksgiving dinner at the house. The guys loved sitting out on the front patio visiting and talking to all the people that walked by. Of course the women were inside cooking! It was a very very memorable Thanksgiving. Sadly for us our 10 year old dog who was with us passed away 2 weeks after we got home. We took many pictures of our family and Max while there. I will always have the wonderful memories of walking Max along the beautiful beach and watching the sunset. We will most definitely be back to create some new memories!Thank You,Royce and Jeff BureshSedona, AZ
A guest from Tucson, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 28 days in July, 2011 Great location for your family vacation. 1/2 block to the beach. Loved every minute we spent there and that was 4 weeks....
A guest from Oklahoma City, OK recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 We had an amazing time and the beach house was terrific. It was everything we could have hoped for. Perfect for a family and so much better than staying in a hotel. Being less than a 2 minute drive to the Cove and one block from the best surfing beach in San Diego was ideal. We did not want to leave. The accommodations were perfect, with more than adequate kitchen space, hot tub, and we absolutely loved the front porch and hammock. 5 stars and we can?t wait to visit again.
A guest from Wiesbaden, Germany recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in July, 2011 We loved our stay at this Nautilus home. Gorgeous location with a wonderful 2 bed 2 bath place to go along with it. We we're thrilled with the comfy beds, great front yard and comfortable layout. Wind and Sea beach is gorgeous and it's a 2 min walk to the beach from this home. We will be booking here again next year. Thanks for your sushi recommendation it was great! Till next year.
Marek Z. from Tucson, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2011 I have seen cockroaches in this house. The house is nice but very dirty. The house is in need of some maintenance, new furniture and some details. Definitely not worth the money I paid for it.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2011 This quaint cottage just steps from the beach is a perfect vacation rental. For a family of five, which includes 3 young girls and a small dog there is ample room both indoors and out. Many hours were spent just relaxing on the patio enjoying the sea breeze and watching the locals stroll by. Stores and restaurants are nearby that we rarely needed to drive anywhere. This beautiful home has everything you need for a perfect day at the beach or a day at home. Definitely prefer this to a hotel. This is the most relaxing vacation we have had in years. Our family could not be happier. Would highly recommend this location and would love to return.
A guest from Show Low, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2011 Stayed for the week in this cute little tropical themed house which is ideally located - lots of stuff within walking distance. The beach is literally a minute and a half of walking down street where you can watch the surfers out almost every day. My kids (14 & 11) loved the hot tub and the hammock - and the beds were very comfortable!. We did much park hopping which was all within a reasonable time driving - farthest was under 2 hours to Disney and Legoland was maybe 40 minutes the rest were within 10-15 minutes- SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, Belmont Park (wave riders for those brave enough to try boogie boards or surfing!), Legoland and the adjacent new SeaLife Park is fun for kids 12 and younger, we also did the Disneyland and California Adventure Park which are adjacent to each other as well for kids all ages. If park hopping isn't your bag try to go into San Diego and get dessert at the Extraordinary Desserts - wow! Overall a nice experience and I would stay again.
Drew C. from Corte Madera, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2011 Great location and overall a great trip but the house is in need of some basic maintenance - a fresh coat of paint is need throughout. I was surprised frankly how run down the place was. Should be easy to fix!
Dan H. from Phoenix, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2011 We had never been to La Jolla before and decided realtively last minute to go there for spring break in March 2011. We searched for a house to rent as we have little kids (and it is much easier than staying at a hotel) and we found Seabreeze Vacation Rentals and this property. We took a chance and booked this house. Seabreeze was very easy to work with and responsive. Everything they promised happened as planned. This is a great little beach house that did well for our family of 5 (3 young girls). The location is fantastic--just down the block from the Windandsea Beach (which is not a good beach for kids BTW, but extremely picturesque). There is only street parking which I was a bit nervous about but it never posed a problem during the week we were there. The house is well equipped and nicely maintained (these are very old beach houses so dont expect a brand new property). It is partially remodeled and has all the amenties you would need for a great stay--stocked kitchen, cable tv, wireless internet, beach towels and other linens etc... The front yard is fantastic--nice sitting area with a hammock. We didnt use the hot tub much as it is located in the very back of the property but if the kids were older we would have spent more time using it. Overall, the descritpion of this house is very accurate and we were very pleased. All the action of downtown La Jolla (the village and the cove) is less than a mile drive away. Easy access to freeways etc...
A guest from SD, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2011 This was my second stay at this home with in a months time....Everything was as good as the first time if not better. We brought our bikes and were able to really enjoy the weather while we were there...stopping at gym, lunch and the beach almost daily. I will definately return again when the opportunity arises. I would recomend this home to anyone looking for a comfortable place to vacate.
A guest from SD, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2011 Master bath shower filled with cob webs. When we checked in the spa was warm and running. We never used the spa, however they mentioned if there was sand in the spa that we would charged $300. We did check the spa before we left when it was not running and there was sand inside of it. As mentioned, we never used the spa, but thought maybe someone else had access to the spa ~ possibly through the back gate? All in all we had a great stay and will be coming back soon.
