Stayed for 7 days in December, 2015 Easy as 1-2-3, interior condo so no views, plenty of room for family of 4. Easy access to town 5 miles, 1/2 miles to stores, shops, restraunts. Surf lessons 1/4 away.

Stayed for 7 days in April, 2015 We had a very good experience at the condo. There weren't any surprises, it was exactly as shown online. The pool was great and the view of the sunset was spectacular. Only a five minute drive to a grocery store. The beaches were close by and a lot of fun. Would stay there again. Only one point to mention, we would have liked to have met the property manager in person. We were pretty much left to our own devices with the instructions for check in and check out. Luckily, email communication was effective. Apart from that, we loved it at the Kona Surf and Racquet Club.
Yeah - OK Steve S. from Santa Cruz, CA recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in March, 2015 The unit was in tattered shape and needs a little work. First - roaches. Second window covering were falling down due to medium quality and over use by renters. Dryer does not work, beds not too comfortable. Good location in that is was away from downtown and quite.
Keauhou Surf & Racket Unit 7-103 A guest from Montesano, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 30 days in January, 2015 Overall I really enjoyed staying in this unit - I have booked it for 6 weeks in 2016. I really like the fact that it is a 1st floor unit with no stairs. There are some opportunities for improvement in the area of maintenance at the unit though. The ceiling light in the spare bedroom didn't work and the sliding glass doors in the living room and spare bedroom were off the tracks. I called the rental agency and requested maintenance to remedy the problems but no one showed up so my brother-in-law, who was staying in another unit, came over and did the repairs. The light in the bedroom required taking the fixture apart and replacing a part inside it. Another problem I would like to see addressed is that there seemed to be an awful lot of bugs in the unit. I kept the kitchen clean and the doors closed, and I used the bug spray that was under the sink, but nothing seemed to help. Possibly the unit needs to be professionally sprayed for bugs. I also realize that this is a tropical region and that there will be bugs, but I have stayed in other units at the Surf & Racket Club & other properties on the island and haven't noticed the bugs as bad as in this unit. I really don't mean to be critical of the unit, but I know that if there are problems, you can't correct them if you don't know about them.
If you love the ocean... Brandy D. from Vancouver (East Fairview / South, BC recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in December, 2014 ... this is the place for you... non-stop waves you can feel in your chest, heartbreakingly amazing sunsets at your doorstep. True indoor/outdoor living. Nice to be on the ground floor - no hauling your stuff up and down the stairs. Fairly quiet location. The unit has a nice TV and a good selection of DVDs and books. There are bare essentials in the cupboards, so prepare to do a Target run when you arrive. There were a lot of comments about the bed, but it must have been replaced before we got there - VERY comfy. No aircon, but if you keep the blinds closed during the day and the ceiling fans on, and open the doors at night, it's fine.Cute little pool and always quiet, nice to have a lounge-y day. You'll definitely need a car in this location, but that's pretty much the story on the big island if you want to see anything.Prepare for "Hawaii" feet - indoor/outdoor living and tile floors make for dirty feet! The finishings are typical Hawaiian, but haven't been updated for awhile. If you want a super high-end interior, this isn't the place for you, but if don't care too much about that, want a comfy bed, a big TV and to be pretty much as close to the ocean as you can be, this is your spot. We'd book it again in a heartbeat!
trouble in paradise Reviewed by: Kate B. does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 4 days in September, 2014 we booked this special trip as a special trip for my son and husband and i before our new baby arrives in a couple months. All we wanted was a pool to play in and a cheerful place to stay. We were thrilled when we walked into the condo - it was everything we wanted. 2nd floor, great light, cheerful space, overlooking the beautiful pool. on the first morning we were devastated to see a sign that said we could not use the pool for the Monday - Friday of our Friday to Friday stay. Basically our whole trip. We were moved to another unit in another building that was essentially a basement suite, dark, dingy and FULL OF COCKROACHES. The upstairs neighbors sounded like a herd of elephants constantly moving furniture and stomping around. A devastating waste of a trip, precious family resources and time. So so sad.

Stayed for 22 days in August, 2014 We'd known the Keauhou Surf&Racquet Club from earlier stays there. It's a fantastic quiet place to relax from everyday life. We had been unlucky because the waterpipes on the golf course had been renewed during the whole August. So we had to flee from the excavators.
Toilet Paper is a Good Thing Reviewed by: Cathy C. does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 10 days in January, 2014 The unit was adequate. Nothing fancy about this unit it needs some updating and a dishwasher that actually cleans the dishes. For a ten day stay I think more than one roll of extra toilet paper could have been nice. The complex itself is older but well maintained and it had a great sense of community among it's visitor's/residence's. I would stay in this complex again but not in this particular unit.

Stayed for 7 days in September, 2013 This unit does not display any pride of ownership. See details below. The good: - Master bed was comfortable The bad: - Filthy (unit did not appear to be cleaned despite paying $157 housekeeping charge). When housekeeping was requsted, the place was still filthy after "cleaning" and all they did was put the dirty linens back on the sofa. - Sofa bed was broken, dirty linens, smelly/dusty pillows, despite requesting a unit with a sofa bed - Dead coachroaches throughout the unit - Musty stale towels - Carpet tack strip was loose and a tripping hazard (exposed screws) - Rust encrusted bathroom cabinents - Leaky fridge - Gnat infested because the place was filthy when we arrived - Phone number to unit was wrong. Could not receive any calls the entire time we were there.

Stayed for 5 days in February, 2013 My son and I stayed here in early February. Got the place at the last minute and got a great deal. The best part about the place is that it is so close to one of the best snorkeling beaches on the big island, which is also a great surf spot; which my son did every day (without a wetsuit). And close to, but far enough away from, the touristy Kailua.

Stayed for 3 days in April, 2012 This was our first visit to Hawaii and our first experience of renting a condo in the US. It worked extremely well for us as a family group. Our stay was 3 nights but next time we hope to stay longer. As we arrived out of hours we had no contact with the reception. Some information in the property about the locality and things to see/do, local restaurants, shops, beaches etc. would have be useful.

Stayed for 28 days in February, 2012 Think that the owners should come for a stay. Condo is in need of an up-date. If nothing else replace the RUSTED outdoor furniture. We were afraid to use it & the lani tile was raised & broken. Didn't use the kitchen much because of the raised counter tiles. Great location -BUT think that you need to address these issues.
