Vacation Cottage Rental Description:
Landon's Lookout is a quaint cottage set back on a large lot providing lots of shade and privacy while close to Galveston's finest beaches, restaurants and shopping. Living area with a futon and TV, keeps your vacation stay simple. Fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast sitting area. The master bedroom is upstairs with a queen bed, sitting area and private bath. Downstairs, you will find the 2nd bedroom with a full bed, the mid-room offers a daybed w/ a trundle, a bathroom w/ stand up shower and the wash room. The back patio is located off the mid-room.

Dirty..... Don't waste your money! A guest from Paris, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2013 The place was dirty. Half inch thick dust on ceiling fans, yellow stains on pillows and futon cushion. Very uncomfortable. We did not have a "backup" plan to stay elsewhere. Otherwise I would have refused to stay there and went somewhere else.Don't waste your money staying here. |

Not What We Expected A guest from Houston, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2012 Only one room has a door on it and that door did not have a door knob on one side so it just pulled through. The microwave did not work. There was not any toilet paper or hand soap (I expected to bring shower supplies). Only 7 towels for a "sleeps 8" rental. Only a table with 4 chairs for a "sleeps 8" rental. Overall the 8 of us adults survived the weekend ok, but would not rent this specific property again. |

Stayed for 31 days in March, 2012 My wife and I continue to enjoy our stay here at Landon's Landing (1405 50th St). The flowering trees are beautiful, the front yard is expansive (this is our puppies favorite yard so far!),and the House Company has been very responsive to our requests and needs.Too, the house is located in a central location so that Broadway, 61st street, eateries, and stores are readily available.We've settled in, watched TV and movies on the DVD and have computor and phone services.In our minds, we made a hit when we chose this place. |

Pleased but not over the top! A guest from Longview, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2011 The house itself was quaint... It was however in a less than desirable location! This being our first time to Galveston were unaware of which area to stay away from! We had no issues with the home itself other than it REALLY needed a little TLC, fumigated, and a GOOD cleaning! The house seemed to still be "in progress" and had some quirks that took us a couple of days to figure out! Overall it was simply a place to keep our stuff and sleep. We would not choose to rent this home again, but would most definately rent from The House Company again!
