The only property in Telluride spread over five acres in a park-like setting, this remodeled (2009) condo looks out over that lovely open space, with surrounding San Juan Mountains.
Bedding: King bed, Queen bed, 2 twin beds (can be converted into a king bed).
With retro styling, the exciting colors inside compliment the exciting landscape outside. From the common 2nd floor hallway, you'll enter the unit and go downstairs a half-flight to the kitchen, dining and living room. Here you'll find a gas fireplace, flat-screen TV w/DVD, and stereo tuner. Sliding glass doors open onto a large deck off the living room with stairs down to the Telluride Lodge courtyard. The dining table seats 6, and the kitchen's granite counter tops and designer lighting add class.
Downstairs 8 more steps is a bedroom with a king bed and TV. Just outside the bedroom is a full bath with shower/ tub and pedestal sink. Another half-flight down to the ground level is the second bedroom with queen bed, and a third bedroom with two twin beds that can be made into a king. In fall 2011, we added luxury linens and lush, thirsty towels. On this level is also a full bathroom with a shower/jacuzzi tub, and a washer and dryer in the hall closet. An exterior door gives access to the common grounds, and a boot bench in the entryway makes a great spot to get in and out of ski or snowboard gear.
The condo has views of ski mountain. New common outdoor and indoor hot tubs and a steam room were completed in 2010, located on the south end of the middle (400) building. Parking at Telluride Lodge is outdoor and is on a first-come-first-serve basis. The unit does not provide wireless internet.
On the north end of Telluride Lodge is the grocery store. To the south, just across the street, walk over the San Miguel River bridge to the base of Lift #7 (Coonskin Lift), about 75 yards from the parking. Skiing, snowboarding, even sledding is easily accessed here. Other winter activites (sledding and ice skating) can be found in the Town Park, about 6 blocks away, up the river trail, or by free in-town shuttle.
Town Park is also the main stage for Telluride's many summer festivals. Hiking trails, mountain biking, mountain climbing (14-ers within reach) can all be found starting right from downtown Telluride. Historic mining sites and ghost towns are nearby day trips.
