Vacation Cottage Rental Description:
Fantastic cottage retreat with great beach swimming on the Rideau Canal! This cottage has great views of Indian Lake on the Rideau Canal, great natural beach, great swimming and fishing, and lots of room for the whole family to stay! Indian Lake has the best waterskiing on the Rideau, including a slalom course.
The main cottage has one and a half bathrooms, three bedrooms, porch, high-speed internet, satellite TV, air conditioning, deck, an outdoor shower and composting toilet. There is a bunk-house above the boathouse with five extra beds. The main dock is 70 feet long and is a great to swim fish and water-ski from! There is also another dock on the boathouse. The view from the decks and the house as well can keep an eye on the children on the dock and beach.
The Rideau Lakes Region is a great place to explore. You can take advantage of the great fishing, boating, swimming, water-skiing, or lock through the historic canal system to the other attached lakes and towns. In the surrounding towns and cities there are also lots of activities, and events to participate in including, golf, historic tours, boat tours, shopping restaurants, parties, and lots more!
This cottage is conveniently located not far off of highway #15 at the halfway point between Toronto and Montreal, 40 minutes from the Canada/USA border, and only one hour and 25 minutes from Ottawa. A great place for extended Families to congregate.

Notes:
Linen service is provided for bedding. Renters must bring their own towels, or they can be rented for $12/person (this includes three wash-cloths, three hand towels, three bath towels, and one bath mat).

Chaffey's has a convenience store with beer and liquor, a restaurant, a snack-bar with ice-cream, two marinas and an art studio. The town of Newboro is accessible by water as well and it has the popular shopping destination Kilborn’s and a couple of restaurants, ice-cream etc. Groceries, restaurants, shopping, and golf are in neighboring towns of Westport, Portland, Elgin, Jones Falls, and Perth. The city of Kingston is about 45 minutes away, and Canada's capital, Ottawa, is a 1 hour and 15 minute drive.

Cancellation Policy:
A cancellation made by the Renter shall be in writing and addressed to Rideau Lakes Property Management at the address stated at the top of the booking application form. Cancellation can also be emailed and will be considered accepted once a confirmation reply is received. On receipt of such notice of cancellation, we shall endeavour to re-book the holiday accommodation for the period of the original booking.
If we are successful in rebooking the holiday accommodation for the entire period originally booked, we will refund to the Renter all monies paid (whether deposit or full payment has been made) less an administration fee of $100.00 per period booked.
If we are unable to re-book your holiday accommodation, then all monies paid by the Renter (whether deposit or full payment has been made) shall be forfeited.
If we are unable to arrange the rental of the Property, due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disaster, we will attempt to arrange alternative holiday accommodation of a similar type and cost and standard and in a similar location as that originally requested by the Renter. If the alternative holiday accommodation and/or rate is not acceptable to the Renter, we shall refund in full to the Renter all monies paid by him/her to Rideau Lakes Property Management. Requests by the Renter to switch to different cottages other than the ones that have already been booked by renter, will be provided only if the original booking property/time can be re-booked, and it will result in an additional administrative charge of $50.00.
Terms and Conditions:
Reservation is secured with a 30% deposit paid via personal cheque (if time permits) direct deposit, or email money transfer, completed renter's contract (forwarded with booking information), and post-dated cheques for the balance of rent and security deposit.
Security deposit cheque will be held in trust and not cashed unless needed to due to damages or cleaning expenses incurred.
If no damages or cleaning fees are to be with-held, the Security Deposit cheque will be mailed back, marked void within one month of check-out.
Rent consists of the rent amount with taxes included, plus a cleaning fee of $88.50+HST.
