Vacation Condo Rental Description:
KIHEI SURFSIDE IS LOCATED ON THE OCEAN SIDE of South Kihei Road at the southernmost end of Kihei. Unit 405 has a gorgeous oceanfront unobstructed view of Maui's south shore, the West Maui Mountains, and the island of Lanai. In the winter months, there are frequent humpback whale sightings from the property. The Pacific Whale Foundation uses this location to do an annual whale count.
JUST STEPS FROM KIHEI SURFSIDE is the start of Keawakapu Beach, one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in South Maui. Here you can enjoy many beach activities including swimming, boogie-boarding and snorkeling where you might enjoy the beautiful coral reefs and meet our favorite turtle, Sebastian, along with his other turtle friends, all the elusive eels, and the many varieties of fish. You can walk or jog for a mile on this pristine sandy beach where you can admire multi-million-dollar private homes and views of the islands of Molokini and Kahoolawe.
THE OWNERS HAVE COMPLETELY RENOVATED THE CONDO over the past few years, so this 4th-floor unit affords you all the conveniences of home. In the living area, you will find cable TV with a DVD/CD/VCR player, high-speed wireless Internet, and long-distance calls to all of Hawaii, the Mainland, Canada, and Puerto Rico -- all complimentary! Since the owners stay in the condo for two months every year and do a lot of cooking, the unit has a fully equipped, very practical kitchen.
THE BEDROOM HAS A WONDERFUL KING BED with terrific reading lights and is well stocked with quality linens including beach towels. The adjacent master bath has a step-in tiled shower with wall-mounted shower head and a handheld shower option. Surfside 405 is a no smoking unit, including the lanai, and it accommodates only 2 people as there is no sofa bed or provisions for additional guests.
THE KIHEI SURFSIDE COMPLEX IS KNOWN for its gorgeous expanse of lawn, wonderful gas barbecues, picnic tables, shuffleboard, and a beautiful oceanfront swimming pool. Sunsets are truly a "happening" where you might share in the traditional Hawaiian ritual of blowing the conch shell to celebrate the close of another beautiful day on Maui.
Year-round rate range is $145 - $285 nightly depending upon party size and dates of visit. Cleaning fee is $95. A minimum stay of 14 nights is required at Christmas.

We didn't want to come home. A guest from Evergreen, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2010 My husband and I had one of the best vacations of our lives at Kihei Surfside. We were there from Dec. 1st to the 8th, and every day was incredible. The condo we stayed in felt like home, and the grounds are beautiful. The beaches are so close, and the sunsets were incredible. We even saw the "green flash"! We arrived late in the evening,so we stayed at the Mauai Beach Hotel the first night. It was great. The hotel shuttle took us to the car rental facility in the morining. Everyone was sooo friendly. I would recommend taking the Pacific Whale Foundation tour to see whales. For a luau experience, you can't beat the Feast at Le Le in Lahaina. It was an incredible dining experience. Make sure someone in your party is the designated driver..If you take the road to Hana, stop by Charles Lindburg's grave and pay your respects. When we have the opportunity to go back to Mauai, we will definitely go back the same place. |

It is well set up and the photos are very true. It has an awesome view and to be so close to the ocean was a bonus. The huge lawn area meant you could pull up a deck chair in privacy and not be close to anyone else-plenty of shade for those who want it. Great place-hope to return. |
