Vacation Condo Rental Description:
Lots of space, upscale amenities, and air-conditioning make this condo a perfect choice. The kitchen has state of the art stainless appliances, granite counter tops, and detailed cabinetry. The large kitchen is equipped with everything you?ll need to create great family meals. The large living room and dining area are designed for memorable gatherings with space and comfort. The master bedroom has a king bed and private lanai. The marble master bath has a Jacuzzi tub and a walk in shower. Downstairs is another bedroom with a queen bed and bath. Upstairs are the other two bedrooms, one of which is loft-style, the other completely private. The third bedroom has two twins which can be joined to create a king bed. The fourth bedroom has two double beds. This large luxury three bedroom plus loft, three bath home is a bargain in a perfect setting. Hawaii Vacation Rental Registration Number W-01The air conditioned Regency at Poipu Kai is a new upscale development of condominiums and villas with in a prime location with easy walking access to two well known beaches, Shipwreck Beach and Brennecke Beach. Next to Brennecke beach is Poipu Beach Park, rated the best beach in North America for the past four years. It features a sheltered "baby beach" for toddlers and parents, a fully equipped children's playground, and a great snorkeling and swimming beach with a large variety of tropical fish and turtles. The Travel Channel calls Poipu Beach "America's best beach" because of its golden sand, ideal conditions for swimming, exciting snorkeling spots and perfect boogie boarding waves. You can often escape Kauai's typical rainfall at Poipu Beach thanks to the nearby Haupu Mountain Range. The peaks block most of the prevailing showers and provide ideal beach weather all year round. Poipu Beach is mostly protected from large wave action by a rock formation a few hundred feet offshore. A sandspit running out to these rocks forms two perfect back-to-back crescents of sandy beach. The opposite end of one of these crescents terminates in a shallow, semi-enclosed pool that is ideal for children. A manned lifeguard tower helps parents keep an eye on the little ones. A large grassy park behind this lifeguard tower provides room for Frisbee throwing, sunbathing, picnic tables, barbeques, restrooms, and fresh water showers. The park also includes playground equipment providing even more entertainment for children. The beach and park are collectively known as Poipu Beach Park. Several Kauai golf courses are nearby including the famous Poipu Bay Golf Club (past home of the PGA Grand Slam) and also Kiahuna Golf Club. Regency at Poipu Kai offers exotically tropical grounds, swimming pools and eight tennis courts.

The central air conditoning was great to have and the layout of the condo was very good, with a spacious kitchen and plenty of dishes, silverware and glasses, towels and beachtowels. The pushbutton security code system is good but if it uses the same access code (the unit number ) for all renters then it would be easy for nyone who has stayed here previously to return and gain access. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2012 Been to the other islands many times, my first trip to Kauai and it won't be my last. By far my favorite island! The condo was well equiped and very spacious. Great layout for extended family. Were advised to bring beach towels, not necessary 10 beach towels were provided. Only drawback, the AC was locked and had to be manually activated to the preset 74 degree limit. At one point the temp downstairs was 79 degrees, too warm for sleeping upstairs! Many trips downstairs to hit the manual "on" override. |

Our arrival was delayed due to plane malfunction, so it was nice to find the condo very clean and with a good supply of starter items. It was a little bit of a walk to the beach, but through a beautiful tropical garden. The only problem we found was having adequate places to hang the wet items; swimsuits/beach/pool towels. Also, the DVD player did not function properly. |

The unit was clean and there were enough toys in the closet for the beach (boogie bords, child toys etc). The location of the unit however is right next to a somewhat busy intersection and the passing of emegency vehicles is not uncommon. The beach is definetely not in walking distance. There is no water view from the unit. |

It easily accommodated 3 adults and 3 children with 1 adult in the queen bedroom, 2 adults in the king bedroom, two children in the downstairs bedroom and one in the loft. We had plenty of room. The condo was very comfortable and clean. We made good use of the beach chairs and boogie boards in the closet, and our children had fun it the pool (Like most pools in Hawaii it is unheated and too cold for me though.) It was an easy, pretty walk to Poipu beach and the Hyatt, as advertised. We had a great time and would consider staying here again if we are lucky enough to return to Kauai. |
