"Sunfish" also serves as a great base for touring the area. The cottage is located minutes from the charming village of Hubbards where you'll find delightful cafes, a grocery store, bank, antique shops, a vibrant Farmers Market (Saturdays) and lobster suppers. A scenic 1/2 hour drive will take you to the village of Chester - yachting capital of the South Shore. Speaking of capitals, the capital city of Halifax is within an hours drive to the east. And the historic towns of Lunenburg/Mahone Bay are the same distance to the west.
As well, a 1/2 dozen white-sand beaches can be found within 20 minutes of the cottage.
