Lucignano, accessible in a few minutes is really a beautiful village, was densely populated since the Etruscan times and then, during the Middle Age, became an important stronghold protecting the territories of Chiana Valley. Today the village, which preserves intact historical testimonies of its ancient origins, has facilities of every kind and all over the year there are several famous cultural and folk initiatives.
