The area around Castiglion Fiorentino includes all the characteristics of the typical Tuscan landscapes. The countryside down in the valley, with endless stretches of nurseries with house plants, fruit and vegetables and flowers alternating with cultivated fields of wheat, corn and sunflowers, merges harmoniously with the high hills where villas and old farmhouses stand surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Higher up where it is more difficult to cultivate the land, the hills are covered in cool oaks, chestnuts and fir woods.
