Stayed for 3 days in October, 2015 The Sea Princess is a simple seaside cottage with just enough charm to keep you coming back.

Stayed for 7 days in September, 2015 My husband & I had the good fortune to stay once again, at the lovely & comfy Sea Princess...this time for 7 nights - thanks in great part to Jeffie at Sunset Vacation Rentals. The spectacular view, the quiet, the sounds of the Pacfic Ocean, all made for a relaxing & reins enacting vacation. We look forward to our next visit in the hopefully, not-too-distant future!

Weekend getaway in Manzanita Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in September, 2014 We had a great time. We love this location right on the beach. The house is pet friendly and our dog always has a good time. The house has everything we need for cooking our meals.
We expected more for what it cost A guest from Portland, OR does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 The stench from the closets where the vacuum cleaner and supplies is stored was terrible, contributing to the overall odors in the house when we arrived. Some friends came for two nights to celebrate our anniversary with us and had to switch bedrooms because of what they described was a urine smell every time the rolled over; the sheets were stained. The front room windows were so dirty you could barely see out of them and we had to wipe them down. The garage with the ping pong table and dart board was filthy and covered with sand - unusable. The exterior sitting area was filthy. Every cabinet in every room was filled to capacity, so there was no place to put our personal items or groceries.
Manzanita One Story Beach Rental A guest from Issaquah, WA does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 5 days in July, 2014 Management co was good and professional. House was easy to find. Unfortunately the photos from the website were very misleading...the property was much older and dilapidated than we expected and sits below the berm so no views of the ocean from inside. Also, the outside seating area is on the SOUTH side of the house, not the West as one would expect for a beach house. Main living room does not have any windows that open so you cannot get a cross-breeze and there was only one small oscillating fan onsite. Made it very hot and stuffy inside. But the room was very light and nice and dining table was big and good for our group to eat and play games. Couch had tears all over the back, which needs repair. The bath towels were brown with hair and fuzz all over them. White would be a better idea so you can bleach and ensure all germs are taken care of. Only three washcloths in the house, so management co brought a bag full of new (white!) ones straight away. Master tub did not drain properly and ended up having a "bath full" of dirty water at your feet after your shower. Lighting in every bedroom was EXTREMELY POOR - bring your own lamp if you plan to read! House advertised Ping-Pong table (which was worn but worked) and Darts -- there was a dartboard in the garage and only one working dart. So, the boys played a lot of slow games of "dart." Maybe remove that from the listing as a recreation option or get more dartS?!Overall we enjoyed Manzanita but this house was a bit of a dud for us.
Great Stay A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in June, 2014 Need to have some kind of air in the living room when the weather is very warm. A laundry basket would also be nice when doing the wash. Thanks.
Bedroom situation Christiane Z. from Seattle, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in May, 2014 The location of the Sea Princess couldn't be better but in general the house is quite old and run down. I will not recommend the house for a stay with 2 families because of the poor bedroom situation. We went with 4 adults and 3 children and we would have not booked this if we had noticed that the house only has one decent bedroom (our mistake). The second bunk bedroom was unacceptable for grownups - it felt claustrophobic in there and the beds/mattresses were in poor shape.
Heaven on the Dunes Valerie P. from Seattle, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in May, 2014 What a wonderful respite we enjoyed for the 2 short days we stayed at Sea Princess! It was quiet, a few steps to the beach and the views were breathtaking! On our way home we were planning our next visit later this year!Thank you!
Old but basically good Leslee V. from Portland, Oregon does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 2 days in May, 2014 The location is amazing. The living/dining room is the best part of the house. Beautiful light and view of the ocean. But the bedrooms and bathrooms are seriously dated and funky. Bunk bed mattresses need help, especially in the back bedroom. Overhead light fixture in back bedroom over lower bunk is broken. Needs repair. Cushions on the couch in the living room is busted, needs repair. There's a drip outside the back bedroom window when it rains that is rather loud. And one of the backs of a dining room chair (without arms) is broken. Our friend almost fell through. We parked it at the breakfast bar closest to the wall.
Mother/Daughter Vacation Pamela S. from Lakewood, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in March, 2014 Loved the location and the town. The house is old, but very nice. The main bathroom shower was not easy to turn on for us, so we opted to take showers in the utility room smaller shower. We had a lovely quiet vacation, perfect weather and great sunsets. Would go back.
Lovely mid-century beach house John S. from Portland, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 1 days in January, 2014 This lovely gem of a home is like a time capsule. Please don't change a thing. We'll be back for another stay soon.
Cleanliness A guest from Milwaukie, Oregon recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in December, 2013 Heating system needs to be vaccumed-dusty. Furniture needs replacing. Windows need cleaning for viewing. Mattresses needs updating.
Fun at the beach! A guest from Moscow, ID recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in December, 2013 Our family, including the three dogs, had a wonderful time at the beach at Manzanita! The house worked well for us though were we to do it again we'd seek a place a bit roomier. The overall we had a wonderful time at the beach - it helped to have had sunny weather!
Great Location A guest from Spokane, WA does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 4 days in December, 2013 Very good location but very dated. Missing the small stuff.. hair dryer, internet connect, a knife shapener, etc and no outside deck or patio
Birthday weekend Brad & Sarah A. from Lake Stevens, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in September, 2013 We came and stayed at the coast to celebrate our neice and nephew's birthdays. It was a great house and a great view of the beach. We would stay here again anytime.
Sea Princess Jennifer W. from Portland, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in September, 2013 The location is pretty much perfect! Beach access is awesome! The house desperately needs another functioning window in the front of the house - it is stifling in there because you cannot get any cross breeze. The smoke detector did not appear to be working. The dishwasher is about to fall apart. Could use some TLC! Other than that it's a fabulous place to stay!!
Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals The dishwasher has been replaced and the smoke detector has been repaired
Beach Getaway A guest from Ellensburg, Washington recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in August, 2013 Suprisingly spacious for the size footprint. Everything was supplied that we needed. Great Location! Very close to the beach. Overall this was the perfect house for the ten of us to spend at the beach. Thank you to those who make this house available for others to enjoy!
Don't Overlook Sea Princess - It's a Gem! Bonnie C. from Westlake, OH recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in August, 2013 We had a short stay but were overwhelmed at what a clean, well-appointed, well-stocked property Sea Princess is. Literally on the beach, just steps to the surf, perfect location, plenty of room for all. We had a minor issue with an appliance which was promptly and professionally resolved. I've stayed at many beach homes on both coasts and honestly, this is by far my best experience. Our next trip to OR will definitely include a stay at Sea Princess!
Sea Hag Matt D. from Spokane, WA does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 7 days in August, 2013 The property was the most rundown condition of a beach home we have ever rented in the Manzanita area, the saving grace was the view which was not available much of the day because the sun would warm up the front room to the point you couldnt even occupy the the room with the view.
July 2013 Stay at Sea Princess Jacki D. from Cedaredge, CO recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 We really enjoyed our stay. The location is wonderful! Great beach access. The property is dated and in need of some repair. The dining room table and chairs are rickety. The mattresses in the bunk beds are very hard. We couldn't figure out how to use the dvd player in the living room. Its furnished very thoroughly...even with spices. Manzanita is wonderful and we will be back!
On the Beach A guest from Brush Prairie, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in April, 2013 Property was too big for two people and too small for more than four. Stuffy little bunk bed rooms for others. Trash all around the outside of the house. Furniture torn up. NO WI FI what? and basic cable. Cleaning fee way to high.
Helped us out in a real pinch Darlene R. from Bellingham, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in April, 2013 Sunset rentals was great helped us out when our other rental agency screwed up our dates. They found us this great house. Very comfortable home, loved being in the sea grass, and had a good view of the ocean. A few things need attention in the home but nothing that would deter us from renting it again. The big windows in front and on the side do not open and I would think it could get very warm in the middle of the summer. Loved the fireplace and would definitely go back for fall, winter or spring vacation.
Refuge A guest from Athena, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 30 days in January, 2013 This was a nice refuge on the beach. Saying it was a few steps from the ocean was a huge exaggeration. They also claimed ocean views when it is only possible to see a tiny glimpse of the ocean from the house. I don't think exaggerating the amenities was the way to go because we came expecting more than was available and we also paid more than another location for something that just was not true. That being said, we loved the place, and if they had been honest we would not have been disapointed initially. The location at the end of the street right on the sand dune was quiet and pleasant. The rental company was attentive. We appreciated the chance to stay and enjoy the ocean.
Thanksgiving in Manzanita Nancy F. from Spokane, Washington recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in November, 2012 Home is in a great location. It is very bright and cozy. Lots of windows. Ocean is a few steps away. The view is mostly sea grass but is awesome. It is close to town and the state park. Kitchen is well stocked. I brought utensils from home I thought they would not have. They have everything you would ever need.
Great as usual Chris C. from Portland, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in September, 2012 We have rented quite often from Ribbon/Sunset and have always had a positive experience. This house, although oceanfront, does not have much of a view of the ocean, but it is on my favorite stretch of beach. It does have plenty of sleeping space for such a small foot print! The cable box did not work in two of the rooms. Not a huge deal, as we did not travel to the coast to watch TV, but it is always nice when every thing works as expected.
A week at the Sea Princess A guest from Sherwood, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in September, 2012 Up side: Location was terrific. Deer pass through the front in the mornings. Dog friendly but not dog stinky. Outfitted for a family. Down side: House got super hot, non functioning air conditioner and no windows that open in front room. Lots and lots of wood paneling-made the place dark. Dishwasher was not attached to the counter. No place to sit outside comfortably.
Sea Princess Escape Charles A. from Lake Forest Park, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 8 days in August, 2012 The Sea Princess is a great little house for an escape. It's an easy walk on the sand to the town, and the beach in front of the Sea Princess is phenomenal. Puffin is a quiet street and with the Sea Princess at the very end of the street, we were hardly aware of neighbors. The best part of being on the "far" north of town is that it was an easy walk to the golf course, which we did often. The house is well equipped electronically and we found the kitchen very well equipped. All in all, a very nice stay.
Fully Equipted Comfortable Beach Cabin Christine B. from Port Angeles, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in July, 2012 We spent 5 days celebrating our Mothers life. She and our Father spent their retirement in Manzanita and loved this wonderful beach community. We enjoyed wonderful weather and felt comfortable in this cabin located on the dunes and a quick walk to the beach. Thank you to the owners who make their cabin available for others to enjoy.
Weekend getaway A guest from Kildeer, IL recommends this property.
Stayed for 1 days in January, 2012 Everything was perfect (even the weather in January!). Easy and direct access to the beach. Great family games available, including pong. The surround view from the family room was terrific (although a bit low to see the water.). Wish we had more time! Princess Jenni was great to deal with.
Weekend Beach Stay Greg V. from Surprise, AZ recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in September, 2011 Location was great. Right on the beach. It was rainy so there was an annoying constant loud drip outside the master bedroom, but other than that, it was a great house and a great stay.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals The leak was fixed immediately after we were notified of this. Thanks!
SEA PRINCESS GETAWAY Eric W. from Portland, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in September, 2011 Great rental experience starting with Jenni at the office allthe way to the great house. It was a fun getaway & SSVR does a great job!
Slightly disappointed A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in September, 2011 Nice enough home, but probably would not rent this one again. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful weekend, but that meant that with the sun beating into the windows, it made for sauna like conditions in the living room/kitchen area. Master Bedroom door did not shut all the way, outside lighting did not work and microwave reset switch had to be used each time we used the microwave. House was well stocked however and location to the beach was very convenient.
Cute Cottage with Easy Beach Access Gretchen E. from Portland, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in May, 2011 Sea Princess suited our needs just fine. We loved that it is right on the beach, with lovely views from the front room. We especially liked seeing an adorable deer who came daily to eat from the tall grass out the front windows. The unit is not super updated, so it feels cabin-like with wood paneling and no-frills bathrooms, but if you are easy-going like us, you won't mind this and in fact, makes you feel more at home than if it were to be over the top fancy. We really enjoyed our stay!
A guest from Kent, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in March, 2011 The house layout was fine. The location is nice on the beach. However, there were ants in the kitchen. The pocket door on the bathroom was off and someone got trapped inside right away. The management responded quickly to requests which was nice.
Like being at home on the beach Pam S. from Tigard, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in December, 2010 The kitchen was stocked with every implement we needed for cooking. Great ventilation. Awesome beach access. Wonderfully warm and plentiful bedding. Thank you for sharing your home!
