Adorable and welcoming this rental space is strategically located in the heart of Hope Town (on Elbow Cay in The Abacos), allowing for an affordable and relaxing vacation experience without any hassles.Have the benefit of a beautiful view of the harbour from the porch while you sip your morning coffee, dine al fresco or enjoy sunsets and your choice of a delightful "Happy Hour" beverage during your stay at the "Wee House". You are close enough to walk and enjoy a scrumptious meal prepared at the adjacent "Harbour's Edge" or any other nearby restaurants. A beautiful beach is within a short walk and shops including grocery, ?fresh baked Mr. Vernon?s Bread? and liquor are only a stone?s throw away too! This quaint and cozy rental boasts enough room for a maximum occupancy of 4 with a queen size bed in the upstairs bedroom and a double size pull-out futon in the alcove, located upstairs and directly adjacent to the bedroom.The "Wee House" offers great value combined with notable features of 3 TV's all with cable and DVD players inclusive of a large, HD television. For those that cannot resist the temptation of technology, the house has WiFi access and local phone service too. Fully air-conditioned throughout, automatic backup generator service is also included in the event of any precarious, power outages.Relax and enjoy this phenomenal getaway for only $150.00 per night! A minimum of a 3 night stay is required.

could with very little effort be a charmer A guest from avalon, california does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2012 we were unhappy from the beginning with the cleaning fee of $200 in a $150 per night rental. That being said we assumed we would be walking into a very clean cottage since the guests prior to us had paid $200 to have the home cleaned - - - not even close!!! mirrors filthy - windows dirty with many stays worth of fingerprints, unused portions of hotel amenities left for us in lotion, shampoo, etc. Had to put socks on when you got out of the shower to keep your feet from getting dirty. There is no way in the world that the renting agent ever followed thru and checked on the cleaning staff prior to checking guests into the unit - - he would have been shocked with the condition. couldn't even put soap in the shower caddy without first placing a wash cloth on the tray because it was so rusted. Property Manager Response: Response from HG Christie Ltd We are sorry to hear your impressions of The Wee House and they are certainly not what we would hope for. It is our hope that the part refund of cleaning funds assisted in alleviating some of your disappointment. With that said, as we promised your observations were not taken lightly and we are happy to report this update. Please know that a new caddy was purchased for the shower, new flooring is on its way and we have engaged a new caretaker and cleaning person. We really appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback. The special needs, functions and costs of a remote island get-away offers charm and special memories yet, also presents challenges. We remain thankful to be able to continue to improve our services through the honest feedback our clients provide. wee house Stephen O. from Quebec, does not recommend this property. Stayed for 56 days in January, 2012 the first floor was dirty, and the house is infested with ants. I had to leave and go rent another house. not a very good experience. |

Wee House Hope Town Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2011 We had a very enjoyable stay. This is essentially a cottage but well outfitted and well positioned to see Hope Town. It is just a few steps from the ferry dock and one can walk to a nice beach. We rented a cart to see the entire island but one could walk to On Da Beach Bar and there really isn't much to see outside of Hope Town apart from private homes, etc. The only downside for us was the view from the deck which was really the only place to eat. |
