In the winter you have your very own snow park on the large lot and you're not far from Bear Valley for great skiing. In the summer you are in close proximity to Blue Lake Springs Recreation Center which has a pool, tennis courts, volleyball court and a nice playground and picnic area.

Our stay at Mountain Getaway in Arnold A guest from Novato, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2013 We had a two night stay at the Mountain Getaway. The house was perfect for our family of seven. The kitchen amenities were great. The beds were all very comfortable. There were plenty of comfortable chairs to watch TV.We thought we might be able to go snow sledding in the backyard, but the snow was melting a little too fast. However, we took a ten minute ride just beyond Camp Connell and found plenty of snow and hills to have fun . we look forward to doing it again. |

Stayed for 2 days in August, 2012 We had a wonderful time with 3 generations and pet....well appointed, tastefully decorated house. Wi-fi was a plus. Lovely for a Spring, Summer, Fall stay. A steep, long driveway might make a Winter stay (hike up the hill) difficult. Our bedroom on the main floor was lacking a window covering. That said, we'd go back in a heartbeat!! |

Review of Cabin Janice C. from Granite Bay, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 Cabin itself was very well-amenitized. Location up very long steep driveway was a big negative for us as well as the surrounding land being on a steep hill. Cabin carpet was very dirty, spiderwebs in home. Understand it is a pet friendly home so this is probably hard to keep clean. Only one out of three tvs worked (with cable). Home was very comfortable and kitchen was well-stocked. Furniture was nice. We have stayed in many wonderful BLS cabins over the last 15 yrs- we would not say in this cabin again due to location. |

Stayed for 5 days in July, 2012 The home was clean and well stocked with the exception of the kitchen (glasses; microwaveable bowls). The beds are EXTRA firm and for some in our family, uncomfortable. We brought out dog, and while the stairs to the house were very steep, we really appreciated the gated porch and extra pooch amenities. We loved dealing with Century 21 staff! |

Mountain Get Away A guest from Concord, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2012 Steep upgrade and steps to the cabin. Once you were inside the amenities were great! Air conditioning was needed and appreciated for our stay. Lots of games for the grandchildren including the Wii. Enjoyed clear night star gazing! Cons: dirty oven, propane & charcoal grills, and carpets may need attention. |

Fun times A guest from Sonoma, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2012 We had the best time. My wife and 4 kids and my daughter-in-law's brother and his girlfriend came to stay. We played board games, watched tv, took hikes around the neighborhood and went up to Bear Valley and Alpine Lake which was frozen over. There wasn't much snow, but Bear Valley had augmented with manufactured snow which was great. My daughter learned to ski (her first time!) and the whole experience was fun. We highly recomnmend this cabin (although it is a bit far off the highway to get to!), but maybe that's part of the attraction. It's soooo quiet! Thanks for a good time. |

Not very clean Gina S. from Burlingame, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 the house was definitely not very clean- dirty carpets, dirty bath, laundry room mats- which i ended up washing myself. The refridgerator and cupboards were completely full of old food from past guests. I had to clean out and throw away all of the old food and wipe clean the inside of the refridgerator- not acceptable in my opinion. The outer linens of the beds- bedspreads etc seemed like they hadn't been cleaned or laundered in a very long time. As well- the deck furniture was lacking and in fact two of the chairs were ripped and not usable. the coffee machine is broken and the microwave doesn't function well. The electrical socket in the downstairs bedroom doesn't work. The gas bbq that was offered- was absolutely filthy- there were old fat drippings on the pan below the grill. Obviously hasn't bee cleaned in who knows how long. Absolutely would even consider cooking on it... curiously thought the BBQ utensils appeared to be new. |
