Excellent frozen margaritas and authentic chips/salsa.”  All of this and the world’s best snorkeling, scuba diving, and deep-sea fishing is steps from Casa Birdie!  Casa Birdie is located south of downtown San Miguel, about a ten minute car ride from the main square or fifteen minutes south from Cozumel’s International Airport.  You’ll be close to all of the island’s shopping, restaurants, nightlife, including Cozumel’s only Jack Nicklaus designed golf course and multi-theater movie complex.  The private driveway leading to Casa Birdie is tree lined and lush with tropical foliage.  The house is stunning with columns, large windows, and terraces.  There is even a third-floor outdoor patio including a palapa, Spanish for natural, thatched umbrella, for shade, a hammock, and many lounge chairs to soak in the Caribbean sun overlooking the tropical jungle and turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea.  Inside, Casa Birdie lives up to its namesake, whimsically decorated with many tropical birds!  The home is styled in traditional Mexican elegance, with heavy wood furniture and clean, cool tiled floors.  The kitchen is large with a breakfast bar to enjoy meals or you can opt to dine at the large dining table buttressed by beautiful windows.  Enjoy the calming island breezes while drifting to sleep as each bedroom has access to the second-floor balcony.  One bedroom has a trundle-day bed that rolls out to comfortably sleep two adults on twin-sized mattresses.  A full-sized airbed and an extra mattress are also provided for any overflow guests who decide to spend the night!  Upstairs, the two mini-suites consist of large bedrooms with private baths and private balconies.  Downstairs, the bedroom also has a private bath.Casa Birdie is great option if you’re looking for a private villa with lots of space just steps from the beach!
