Expedition Station #8570: This first floor, corner unit features beautiful ski slope views. Take a short 4-5 minute walk to the gondola in River Run Village. King bed in master and many upgrades make this unit your home away from home. 326547
This beautiful, spacious condo has 14 great windows for viewing the ski slopes and surrounding mountains. Wonderful open floor plan for visiting with friends or family. It is an oversized corner unit (1/3rd larger than most 2-bedrooms in River Run) located on the first floor with easy access and high ceilings. The living room features a gas fireplace with beautiful rock surround. Relax on the sofa or matching chairs and watch your movie on the new 40 inch HDTV with accompanying Blu-ray player, or listen to music on the sound system equipped with an iPod dock. The spacious kitchen has wide granite countertops and gorgeous stainless steel appliances, and is fully equipped with all of the essentials you need to prepare your favorite meal. The breakfast bar seats four, and the beautiful dining room table will easily seat six. In the master bedroom, you will sleep soundly on the king size bed with new bedding. The master bedroom also features a new 32 inch flat screen TV, DVD player, enchanting mountain views and full bathroom with double sinks. The guest bedroom features a new queen/full size bunk bed and a new 32 inch flat screen TV and is tastefully decorated with new mountain inspired décor. A game table with two chairs is available to play your favorite board or card game. This condo has a wonderful balcony with great views of the slopes and the adjacent Gore Range.
This condo has many windows that will allow you to enjoy the mountain views from the living room and both bedrooms. From the balcony, you will enjoy views of the mountains, as well as views of the skiers coming down Dercum Mountain.
Directly in front of Expedition Station is the new ice skating rink for additional winter fun. It is a 2 minute walk to the heart of River Run Village where you will find excellent businesses including restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, bars, winter and summer sports rentals, and great people watching. It is approximately 200 yards to the new, high-speed, eight person gondola. If you wish to explore other nearby parts of Summit County (e.g. Breckenridge, Frisco, Dillon, Silverthorne), the free Summit Stage shuttle picks up in front of the building.
Expedition Station was completed in the late 90's and is one of the more exclusive buildings in the resort. The building features two high-speed elevators that service 91 condominiums. There is an access controlled underground heated garage with luggage carts to make move-in easy. Laundry facilities are located on all floors of the building. Expedition Station has a beautiful lobby with cozy couches, gas fireplace, pool table, and game tables. This building also features a year-round heated pool, an eight person hot tub, a spacious heated patio with BBQ?s, fitness center, and a steam room for guests? enjoyment.

Did not use pool/hot tub area, so can't comment on that. A couple of minor things that could be improved: (1) wash and scrub kitchen floor. Our feet were super dirty and gross after walking on it. (2) couldn't find any humidifiers. Read there were supposed to be humidifiers available in condo, but couldn't find. |

Was great to have the two bedrooms. We put the two kids in one bedroom and my wife and I in the other. Condo was clean and very nice when we arrived. Underground parking was also a plus. 15-20 minutes from town where they have everything including outlet malls. 20-30 minutes from Breckenridge. Keystone was right out the door. Great place to stay and we would definitely stay there again and recommend to our friends!! |

Maintenance next door was aweful A guest from Colorado Springs, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2011 They were working on the room next door and it was VERY noisy in our unit. We requested that they stop and they told uss quitting time was at 8:00. We had to leave the building to keep our kids from crying from all the loud noise. We were unable to hear the TV or relax for the evening. We left the following day as soon as they started again as it was impossible to enjoy our stay with them working so close. The condo next door to the one you stayed in is not one that we manage. However, if you had call the phone number on your key card, we would have been happy to attempt to resolve the problem. Disturbing the peace is something that we can help with by talking to the other managment companies or even callling law enforcement. Again, we are very sorry for your inconvienence. |
