Wonderful Time! A guest from Simpsonville, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2013 We had a wonderful time at this cabin! It was spacious and had an awesome view. The hottub is great and it was nice that it was covered in case of rain. I wish the kitchen table had been bigger, but it was workable. Would like to see Wi-Fi added to this cabin. Our Verizon phones worked well, but the AT&T could only get reception in a couple of spots in the cabin and property. Also, the description says it has two queens and 1 king, but the bed in the room without a jacuzzi tub is a FULL, not a queen. The king (master) bed is very comfortable and soft. The turn into the road to the driveway is a horrible right turn due to having to go one way through the resort, especially arriving in the dark (our F-150 trucks did make it) but it was scary. Overall, the cabin was wonderful and we all had a great time. The view is amazing! |

The cabin was decorated for Christmas everywhere you looked. The cabin was also well stocked with most of the utensils and pots and pans I needed to cook Christmas dinner. Beautiful Cabin - Could Have Been Cleaner A guest from York, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2012 The cabin itself is very nice. However, aside from the bathrooms and the kitchen, I don't believe the cabin had been cleaned prior to our arrival. The dust and dirt accumulation was significant on the wood floors and the sills surrounding the pool table room were filled with dead insects. After we cleaned the dead bugs, no additional dead insects appeared during our stay which tells me they hadn't been cleaned for quite some time. Several dead bugs were also found in the master bathroom sink. The cabin is located on a mountain, so the roads are windy and steep (and I mean steep!). On the first day, I called to report the downstairs toilet was leaking from the base and the water didn't get hot. I was told maintenance would be right there. 5 days later and we never saw maintenance. Location is about 15-20 minutes from the main tourist area. |

The hot tub was one of the only drawbacks for me, I felt it was pretty gross. Not sure it had been emptied and cleaned before our arrival, very dingy. I read in the guest book about rusty water, but not sure that was the reason for the hot tub grossness! Not much yard for the kids and dog to run around on if you are looking for that. Several other cabins in the area did have a bit of flat yard to run around on. Overall though great house and layout. |

Stayed for 5 days in July, 2012 The time of arrangements that were made no problems, and then Upon Arrival: Disappointed with the dirty dishes in the cabinets when getting ready to use for cooking. The Kitchen sink (pipe) leaks under cabinet. Master Bath outlet at sink not working. Coffee maker lid was broken. Fridge did not keep items very cold. Cabin was dusty. No Blender in cabin to make drinks. Tree was down at Pool area so we couldn't swim-Bummer! Maintenance guy shows up in cabin unannounced to fix Hottub from storm. Very unprofessional. A phone call would have been more appropriate to give us heads up, Instead he just walks right in! We paid alot of money for our stay, and the place should have been in tip top shape for us to be 100% Satisfied, and unfortunately that was not the case! This is our 4th time staying at Brother's Cove and we have never experienced this before. Hopefully next year when we come back it will be improved. :) We love it at Brother's Cove the environment is beautiful and the setting is gorgeous......unfortunately the care of the cabin is not the same when the original owner had it. Thanks for allowing us to share, it will only make a better place for the next family to stay in. |

I would highly recommend this cabin during the summer months. Plan ahead for a 4 wheel drive vehicle for the winter or rainy times. The extreme narrow windy roads with drop-offs made this old woman really nervous. (I could not have driven myself - glad I had a driver and it did not rain or snow.)I think it would be nice if there were guardrails on the scary parts. No problems with bugs or rodents or bears. Having the coded door lock was awesome because we didn't have to keep up with a key. Larger vanities would be nice for future built models. A full length mirror would be nice. Overall, we were very comfortable and are already planning our next trip! It was a very pleasant experience. Thank you! |

This cabin is very conducive to this type of visit. Quiet and yet with all the comforts of home and some extra things at that. Hot tub on the deck was used every day and oh how relaxing. Also, the pool table reminded us that we don't have that skill!! Loved being able to cook our own food and just relax in the cabin. Also there is/was no where to put clothes in 2 of the bedrooms { NOWHERE} 1 other thing there was no blender.... Loved it all for the most part but not the hot tub and there were bugs on the floor of the king sized bedroom! We will come back again but probably not that cabin... |
