Wonderfully decorated, great hot tub, pool table, enough utensils and pots to cook a feast. Everyone had a great time and we have already planned a yearly girls trip because of this cabin. We were there will all of our family for our wedding. Alex was wonderful helping with all the reservations with the cabins. We had rented 6 cabins in Brothers Cove for our families and friends. Brown Bear Lodge is like being in the clouds. We would sit on the porch in the morning having our coffee looking into the clouds.All the cabins in Brothers Cover were clean, plenty of room and terrific views of the mountains. We have stayed in other cabins in the area but this cabin is by far the best. Our best friends who stayed with us agreed that we liked Brown Bear Lodge. It is beautifull decorated, clean, and is well maintianed. We will definitely be back to Brothers Cove Resort. |

Great beds. Appliances were like new. TVs were all new and very nice. Parking area was nice with plenty of room for our two vehicles. The drive in wasn't bad at all, it's mostly one way which is great because you don't have to worry about anyone coming around a blind turn at you. Roads were relatively wide, quite level and well maintained. We have been renting cabins in TN for many years now and some of the drives in have been down right scarey. This one was not bad at all. I am very sure that we will stay here again. |

If I had to chose one word "AWESOME".. I had just experienced the loss of my Father 1 week prior to the trip. From the first phone call booking the cabin with Robin, until the check-in and even until check out it was a fantastic vacation getaway for our family during this time. The property/cabin was everthing and more. We decided that the Family was going to make this a rental cabin at least once a year if not twice a year for family vacations. We cannot thank each and everyone of the Staff at America Mountain Rentals enough to show our appreciation for all you do to make families vacations come true. What a blessing it was to spend time in such a place to make life memories and help with the healing of losing our Father. My wife and I spent our 2nd anniversary here this past weekend and couldn't have been more pleased! The room was gorgeous and so was the view! Although the road is quite curvy and steep getting to the unit, the overall experience is worth the trek up the mountain. We researched the unit beforehand and drove to look at it and fell in love with it. This unit doesn't advertise Wi-Fi internet but, upon our arrival discovered that IT DOES have it...this was a real plus because we did most of our shopping from the cabin :). I would recommend a four wheel drive with chains in the winter months though. We are looking forward to planning a fall trip back to this unit as I'm sure it holds some pretty awesome views of the foliage. The staff at American Mountain Rental made our stay a very pleasant one and I want to personally thank the manager for his extra efforts in getting us booked into this beautiful cabin. We look forward to staying in this cabin again soon and certainly hope that the unit is as clean and up to date as it was on this trip! The only drawback to the trip was that we went to dinner on Saturday evening and arrived back at the resort at 8:30pm and our gate code did not work and left us waiting for one of the other residents to arrive to let us in. The office had already closed and we could not reach anyone from the location (NO CELL PHONE SERVICE AROUND THE OFFICE AREA FOR SURE). Fortunately, we're thankful they did show up within minutes of us arriving back at the resort to let us in. We had read on other reviews that this had been a problem and had been taken care of, evidently it's still a problem :(. I would highly recommend a stay at this cabin as you will not be disappointed in the cabin or the views and the amount spent for such a gorgeous spot! Brown Bear Lodge...see you soon!!!!! Brown Bear Lodge #49 is one of the best units you will ever find, and the home owner takes great pride in furnishing it with the very best amenities so that the guest has the best experience possible. We have just recently added WI-FI to that unit, so they will be updating the website to reflect that soon. Having internet access is an essential amenity these days! That is an excellent tip about winter travel in the mountains, we have had a very, very mild winter this year, but if we do get a significant snow event having chains and four wheel drive capability can make things more manageable. I am sorry about the inconvenience on the security gate. We do have a courtesy phone on our front porch, and the key pad on the gate entrance has a customer service option to call for assistance. Our lines are monitored around the clock for security purposes, in case anyone has difficulty getting back in after hours. We scale our operating hours back to 8pm closing time during the winter at the Brothers Cove office, then return to a 10pm closing from Memorial week on. We treasure folks like you as our guests, and look forward to having you all back again and again! |

Stayed for 3 days in July, 2011 We have been visiting Brothers Cove since 1999, when they were just beginning. This was our 4th time here and were sad to hear that Randy and his family no longer are apart of Brothers Cove. However, it was still just as nice of an experience. The only thing I would add is that the Victorian House could be kept up better, the grass needed to be mowed. Also, now that we have children, step stools would come in handy for when they need to brush their teeth and wash their hands, as the sinks are a bit too tall for them. Hopefully we will be back in a few years again!Thank you for the nice time! |

North Alabama Family Cabin Review A guest from Harvest, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2011 I think the walk through at checkout needs to be more detailed. My family discovered a cracked television screen in the 3rd floor bedroom, a broken telescope tripod, and a large crack in one of the upper windows downstairs. Had we not made these discoveries, we could have been charged for the damages. Also, linen and towel exchanges need to be at the onsite cabin office. Guests should not have to drive all the way in to town to exchange linen and towels. In addition, there should be a commercial dumpster at the onsite cabin office for guest to dump bagged garbage anytime of the day. It?s very easy to accumulate large amounts of trash on vacation and one daily pick up is not enough. Otherwise, our cabin experience was fantastic! |

Needless to say, the deck light fixture never worked. With a tornado in the Wears Valley area one night, we were concerned about the safety of our cabin/location, but all turned out OK for us, not Marysville TN tho. May be helpful for emergency info to have posted the "county/location of the cabin" as TV warnings mentioned the county Tornado warnings. Owner did have working flashlights in kitchen at the ready.
