Vacation Condo Rental Description:
This great townhouse has been completely renovated through-out. New appliances, furniture, granite counter tops; flat screen TV's in the living room as well as all the bedrooms. There are 2 queen beds upstairs with window A/C units & twin beds in the downstairs bedroom. The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club is ideally situated about 4.5 miles south of the village of Kailua- Kona, between Kahalu'u Beach Park and the Keauhou Shopping Center (restaurants, theatre, groceries, medical care, etc.) Just minutes away from all the wonderful activities Kona has to offer. Additionally, the Kona Country Club golf course is located immediately next to the Surf and Racquet Club. Amenities include three lighted tennis courts (no charge), large swimming pool, pavilions, and propane barbecues for residents. Be our guest and enjoy a wonderful resort area, at a terrific nightly rate. There is a 3 night minimum stay/10 during Ironman & Christmas season. This is a non-smoking townhouse. W-01

The snorkel/surf beach is within walking. shopping, theatre, and resaurants are 1 minute by car. Great pool and tennis courts on site. If you want to play tennis you must bring your own racquet as they don't rent them.Condo is very hot, so made sleeping for the children difficult. Master is only room with air cond. Also, cooking is difficult due to how hot the kitchen gets when stove is on. |

Stayed for 7 days in February, 2011 PROS: The unit is nice and functional with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, a built in w/d and a small but modern kitchen. The beds are good there is plenty of parking. It's right near the pool, tennis court and open play area. Very clean and lush as you would expect from HI. Very close to shopping center a nice snorkeling beach (you could even walk there). Secure gate entry. Ceiling fans in every room. Window AC only in one of the bedrooms. Plenty of storage and closet space.CONS: This unit overlooks a fairly busy arterial which is pretty noisy, especially when you are trying to sleep. For some reason there was a neighboring unit that had an alarm clock that would go off and never shut down, which, again, didn't help with the sleep. There is no AC, which for the time of year we visited (end of February) was not needed. The management team took a while to respond to our requests or return calls but eventually did and took care of things to our satisfaction. No wifi in the unit, which was annoying because I was told that there would be. OVERALL: We made our booking late and it was one of the last units left. For the price and everything I think it was good but given a choice I'd probably go somewhere else where it is less noisy. |

spacious and had almost everytthing we needed. Gloria L. from Clayton, Victoria recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in December, 2010 Property lacked instructions eg how to get ice to dispense from fridge. How to turn on washing machine (not straight forward), where boogie boards and golf clubs were kept etc. we only found that there were beach gear tucked in a closet when we were about to leave, after 10 days. A map of the island or tourist hotspots would be good. We didn't see the property manager till the 4th day. We had minor issues with the property who only worked from 8-9am, which was resolved immediately once we could contact Kona coast vacation with the help of the property manager. Property should have some kids activity especially when it was the holiday season. Porperty should have a phone espeically to dial property manager or for emergency. |
