Vacation on the coveted Rideau Canal System in this beautiful vacation home with tonnes of features. Located a short drive by boat or car to Portland on the Rideau, there is lots to do in this four season estate. In the outdoors, relax on the Large decks with beautiful views, enjoy swimming, fishing and boating on the Big Rideau, visit local historic sites, restaurants and shopping.
Outdoor BBQ & a campfire-pit also available for warming up by the fire on those starry nights. Indoors, enjoy the beautiful home with all of it's amenities, bar, sauna, big-screen-satelite TV , DVD player, and large games-room.

Big Rideau is the largest and most sought after of the Rideau Lakes. Groceries, bank, restaurants, liqueur store, and post office are minutes away in the town of Portland; pubs, golf, and shopping can be found in Westport, about 20 minutes away. Kingston is 50 minutes away, and Canada's capital, Ottawa, is a 1 hour and 15 minute drive.

This cottage is conveniently located not far off of highway #15 at the halfway point between Toronto and Montreal, 40 minutes from the Canada/USA border, and only one hour and 15 minutes from Ottawa. A great place for extended Families to congregate.

There is also a three-piece bathroom beside the sauna and a two-piece bathroom in the basement. The master bedroom has a King bed, Bedroom #2 has 1 double bed, 1 double futon, and 1 single bed. Bedroom #3 has 1 Queen bed and 1 single futon. Bedroom #4 has 1 double bed. Bedroom #5 in the basement has 1 double bed and a Queen bed.
Bed Linen is supplied, but renters must wash/dry/fold the linens provided in the supplied laundry room or supply their own.

Cancellation Policy:
Any cancellation made by the Renter shall be in writing and addressed to RLPM at the address stated at the top of the booking application form. Cancellation can also be emailed and will be considered accepted once a confimation reply is received. On receipt of such notice of cancellation the Company shall endeavor to rebook the holiday accommodation for the period of the original booking.
If RLPM is successful in rebooking the holiday accommodation for the entire period originally booked it shall refund to the Renter all monies paid (whether deposit or full payment has been made) less a cancellation fee of $100.00 per period booked will be returned.
If RLPM shall be unable to rebook the holiday accommodation, then all monies paid by the Renter (whether deposit or full payment has been made) shall be forfeited to the Company.
If RLPM shall be unable to arrange the rental of the Property, due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disaster, RLPM shall attempt to arrange alternative holiday accommodation of a similar type and cost and standard and in a similar location as that originally requested by the Renter. If the alternative holiday accommodation and/or rate is not acceptable to the Renter, RLPM shall refund in full to the Renter all monies paid by him/her to RLPM. Requests by the Renter for alternative accommodation and/or dates will be provided only if the original booking property/time can be re-booked, and it will result in an additional administrative charge of $50.00.
Terms and Conditions:
Reservation is secured with a 30% deposit paid via personal cheque (if time permits) direct deposit, or email money transfer, completed renter's contract (forwarded with booking information), and post-dated cheques for the balance of rent and security deposit.
Security deposit cheque will be held in trust and not cashed unless needed to due to damages or cleaning expenses incurred.
If no damages or cleaning fees are to be with-held, the Security Deposit cheque will be mailed back, marked void within one month of check-out.
Rent consists of the rent amount with taxes included, plus an administration fee of $35
