Vacation Condo Rental Description:
This stunning one bedroom, one bathroom condo is the perfect vacation getaway. It is professionally decorated and has recent updates including fresh paint, a new pillowtop mattress for a peaceful nights sleep, and new living room furniture. There are flatscreen TVS & DVD players in the living room and the bedroom. The carpet was replaced in spring 2010. Free wireless internet is included.
From the balcony, you will see snow-covered mountains. This condo faces away from the village, so you will enjoy the peace and quiet from the balcony. From the living room and master bedroom windows, you can also see views of the mountains.
Silver Mill is conveniently located in the heart of River Run Village. It is just steps from restaurants, ski rental shops, specialty shops, and Starbucks. If you are traveling with young children, the Keystone Children's Center is located on the ground floor of Silver Mill. In 2008, a new high-speed, 8 person gondola was constructed to move passengers up the mountain 40% faster. Silver Mill is now even closer than before. Walk 100 yards out of the building, and you will be there.
After a long, active day, you can enjoy the many amenities that Silver Mill has to offer. The beautiful recreation room has a pool table, sitting area, and TV. Soak your tired muscles in the large 16 person hot tub, or one of the two 8 person hot tubs. Then enjoy the sauna located inside the building near the hot tubs. Silver Mill guests can also enjoy the heated pool with spectacular views of the ski slopes at a neighboring building.
You can park your car in the heated parking garage under the building and store your skis and/or snowboards in the ski lockers on the first floor. If you don't wish to carry your skis and/or snowboards back to the building you can use the VIP ski check that is available near the gondola for a small daily fee.
The entire interior of Silver Mill received a remodel in 2010. New flooring, new paint, and new furniture. It is one of the prettiest buildings in Keystone.

Stay at Keystone Ski at A-Basin A guest from Rochester, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2013 This was our first experience in Colorado. Just as everyone said, Keystone was pretty much a ghost town when we stayed the first week of May. But...we LOVED it! Peaceful, clean, great amenities. We came to ski and would have had no use for anything else in Keystone even if it was open. It was the perfect home base for a the week. Hope to return next year! Silvermill 8222 review A guest from half moon bay, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2013 One door key did not work. One light bulb was burned out some dishes and knife were definitely dirty. Worst problem was the DishTV. On certain (many) channels it gives a signal completely lost message. Called property management, sent up someone who had a very hard time dealing with Dish since they want the owners name etc. Finally found a partial workaround, meaning I could get most channels and recover from the signal lost message. Usual re-booting does not work. I figured it out, but I am a PhD in physics, I doubt most others can deal with this. The owner needs to be told and deal with this ASAP. |

Good Value, but a few things would keep us from returning A guest from Colorado Springs, CO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2012 Overall, the building, location, amenities and value were great. There were a few things that would direct us to a different property in the future. First, the unit faces the parking lot, so drunk skiers kept us up until 1:30AM and noisy snow plows clearing the parking lot woke us at 6:30AM. Second, there were two storage areas in the unit: 2 nightstands. That's it. No other dressers anywhere. There is hardly any space to even set your suitcase. Great hooks everywhere, but that's it.Third, and this is really a deal breaker for us. They charge $69 for cleaning fee and then warn you that if you do not take out the garbage, sweep the floors and clean the dishes they will charge you extra! What. For $69 I am not taking out the darn trash. Also, there was a dirty towel and wash cloth hanging on the back of the bathroom door upon our arrival. Hardly $69 worth of cleaning.Fourth, our kids slept on the floor as it was way more comfortable with a sleeping bag than the horrible sleeper sofa.The building was great though. Great parking, luggage carriers, elevators, common areas, hot tubs, security, and location. Just don't stay on the side facing the parking lot. Property Manager Response: Response from Summit County Mountain Retreats All fees are explained in detail in the rental agreement that you signed. We try to keep our cleaning fees as low as possible for our guests. In return we ask that you load the dishwasher and take the trash out when you leave. We do not ask that you sweep or do anything else. Additionally, we explain that we provide up to 2 hours of cleaning. Thus, even if you did not follow the procudures you agreed to, you would not have been charged anything, unless you TRASHED the unit. The parking lot side of the building is normally the quite side. Quite hours begin at 10 pm in the resort and this is noted in many places. There is a phone number to call for any disturbances. Loud people would have been dealt with promptly had someone been notified. The size of the condo is a one bedroom. In addition to a lengthy description of the condo, you have access to at least 16 photos of the condo, prior to your decision. |

Keystone/Silver Mill Condo A guest from Temple Terrace, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in December, 2011 We had a nice stay and enjoyed the condo. There were only a few disappointments. 1) Only 4 towels were provided for the week's stay and I was told that any additional fresh towels would cost $29. 2) The pillows were very flat and uncomfortable. When I called the property management office to ask for a couple of extra pillows, they seemed very confused about what to do. They said they would "check the book" but never provided a response about the pillows. 3)Two of the chairs at the dining table were not unusable. The wood on one chair back was completely split and another was very loose and unstable. Property Manager Response: Response from Summit County Mountain Retreats I would like to carify some inaccuracies. Six large, Six medium and six wash cloths are provided for a 1 bedroom condo. There are washing facilities in each building and in many condos. The $29 fee you referred to is for a light cleaning, which also includes fresh towels. All pillows were replaced in the summer of 2011. We will send an inspector to make sure the pillows are up to standards. There were indeed problems with two chairs. Unfortuantely,we did not find out about this until this review. We have replaced the chairs. |

However, there were no games or movies in the condo (I thought this was a requirement of the Keystone Rental Association!?!). Also the cushions on the couch, chair and pull out mattress were very bad. Finally, the refrigerator compressor was very noisy, so when it came on intermittently during the night, it would wake you up. All in all, not bad but some updating of this condo would greatly improve the quality of the stay. |

Stayed for 3 days in January, 2011 We drove into the heated garage in a snowstorm with 2 sleeping kids and found handy luggage carts to take everything up to the condo in one trip. The condo was clean and nicely decorated- not too fussy. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals. We slept 2 adults and 2 kids comfortably. The hot tubs are lovely. |
