Vacation Condo Rental Description:
This beautiful 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom condominium is located on the fourth floor of Silver Mill. The many windows allow you to enjoy incredible mountain views from the bedroom, living room, and the balcony. This condo is located on the quieter side of the building, which faces away from the village. The bedroom features a new platform king bed with plush mattress and new bedding, 32' flat panel tv with cable, and mountain views. After a long day, you can enjoy new 40 inch flatscreen TV and the large DVD library of movies in the living room while warming up by the gas fireplace. The owners have also purchased board games and card games for your enjoyment while you stay in the condo. In addition, you will find many books about the area and hiking, as well as a local guide created by the owner. The dining room table will seat 4 people comfortably, and the full sized kitchen is well-equipped with everything you will need to cook a meal away from home.
You will enjoy views of the mountains from the condo and balcony. The mountains you see are between Keystone and Arapahoe Basin.
Silver Mill is conveniently located in the heart of River Run Village. It is just steps from restaurants, ski rental shops, specialty shops, and Starbucks. If you are traveling with young children, the Keystone Children's Center is located on the ground floor of Silver Mill. In 2008, a new high-speed, 8 person gondola was constructed to move passengers up the mountain 40% faster. Silver Mill is now even closer than before. Walk 100 yards out of the building, and you will be there.
After a long, active day, you can enjoy the many amenities that Silver Mill has to offer. The beautifully remodeled recreation room has a pool table, sitting area, and huge High Def Flat Screen TV. Soak your tired muscles in the large 16 person hot tub, or one of the two 8 person hot tubs. Then enjoy the sauna located inside the building near the hot tubs. Silver Mill guests can also enjoy the heated pool with spectacular views of the ski slopes at a neighboring building.
You can park your car in the heated parking garage under the building and store your skis and/or snowboards in the ski lockers on the first floor. If you don't wish to carry your skis and/or snowboards back to the building you can use the VIP ski check that is available near the gondola for a small daily fee.
Silver Mill received a remodel in 2010 with all new common areas, new flooring, new paint, new furniture, and a new state-of-the-art fitness center.

Keys did not work to enter the building A guest from Elkhorn, NE recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2013 You should make sure the keys work to enter the buidling before leaving them for the guests. It was a pain trying to get into the building when they should have worked. Property Manager Response: Response from Summit County Mountain Retreats We feel your pain!! We really do. Keycards use magnetic strips and these strips can be demagnitized or otherwise become damaged. There is no practical way to test keys before they are given to guests. We have to assume that the system is working. The system is rated at 99.99% efficent. However, when you factor in the other uncertainties, we have found that the real world efficency is closer to 99%. The solution we have is two fold. 1) We hand deliver keys to guests if they have a problem with existing keys. 2) We maintain emergency lock boxes at the front door of each building that will allow us to give you a code over the phone to get in right away. We know this is not a perfect solution, but given the type of system in the resort, it is the best we can do :-( |

Great Condo, Poor Service from Mgmt Company A guest from Lindale, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2013 The condo was great, the location is great, there is a fair amount of noise from outside the condo but manageable. You cannot see the ski mountain from the condo, you are looking opposite but the view is fair. You are overlooking the main free parking lot. The condo had everything that we needed and was comfortable. It is slightly larger than a large hotel room but fit our family of 2 adults and 2 kids <10 well. The beds were comfortable, we used the king bed and sofa bed. The bathroom was spacious and the kitchen worked well for us. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals as well as snacks, drinks, etc. Storage for clothes and food is a challenge due to limited storage space but we worked around it. The location in the village is great for shops and food, the heated parking garage is great, the building overall is nice. We would definately return to the Silver Mill and specifically this condo. The management company left something to be desired. Our check-in was supposed to be at 4pm and we did not get access until 6:30pm. The communication was poor and the excuses were plentiful. We requested compensation for the inconvenience since they charge a penalty for late check out or early check in but that request fell on deaf ears (more excuses). We enjoyed our stay overall. Since we were helping our son-in-law as he raced the Leadville,100 mile, we were not able to fully enjoy the Keystone surroundings until after it was over. The Blues and Art fest were fun and we especially liked the close proximity to the restaurants and shops within walking distance of the lodge. Great idea! We wished the hot tub was available but understand that they were being remodeled. In the actual room #8266, we tried to use the gas fireplace but it wasn't working. You may want to check it out. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2011 Everything was fine except the pull out couch mattress/bed is HORRIBLE! I didn't appreciate that there was a fee for the air mattress. Also the hallway noise is very loud coming into the condo at night. Wish there was a way to block that noise a bit more. We are always happy to come out and take care of any mainteance issues right away. The fee for the air mattress is simply a delivery and pick-up fee. We charge $10. Overall good but building needs repair David N. from Longmont, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2011 The bed is wonderful!!! I slept very well on the nice king sized bed. The view from the condo is of the parking lot but not bad. The wifi was pretty much unusable and the second elevator was out, which meant waiting 10 minutes to get up or down. The heated garage is very nice and they have luggage carts to haul your gear around. The walk to the slopes is maybe 5 minutes and we could come back in for lunch. Apparently, an unusual part was broke and it took about a week to get the replacement. Again, we apologize for the inconvienence.
